But that doesn't mean Lena didn't come to certain realizations when she finally put her anger to rest. She realized I think that it wasn't the lying that got her so wanting to hurt Kara, it was that she didn't believe Kara cared for her the way she cared for Kara. I think that thought sent her over the edge. But once she finally opened her eyes, edge saw how many times Kara tried to pull her back in, tried to keep her from going down the path she did. I think she finally saw that Kara tried to keep her safe. From that moment on, she became Kara's guardian, keeping her heart and body safe

Hey... I am new to this show and benched watched from season one up till now. I might be reaching here but maybe Lena went dark because she realized that Kara wasn't just a friend to her. That realization can draw people away and to shut down. When Eve betrayed her she got angry but she got over it like any person who's been betrayed by friend. Only that much intense pain comes from the realization of losing the person you love and not knowing just how much they mean to you until you have a falling out. Maybe she discovered her feelings for Kara ran deeper. I could be wrong but in the real world I've been betrayed by friends before and it hurt but I just stopped talking to them and the most I've gotten was angry.
