Dude, same! I havent watched it in a while and didnt see it SuperCorp when I did, but after watching Adam and other reactors and clips or gifs of scenes, HOW CAN THEY NOT BE A THING?! Even I ship it and don’t even watch week to week. The posts that compare their relationship to Kara’s past ones or other couples in the Arrowverse show just how far these writers go.
I remember seeing episodes of this season with my sister (who doesn't watch the show btw) we watched the ones with Dansen and Supercorp and she literally said "Oh so the LGBTQ+ couple is Kara and Lena, that's nice :) " DUDE she saw Alex and Kelly scenes and still thought that the canon there were Kara and Lena! THERE'S A BIG PROBLEM WITH THIS SHOW!!!

Comparisons here to #WynonnaEarp...the reason that show can advance the plot so quickly AND be so emotionally affecting in the middle of Western Monster World, is because the writers respect the audience’s intelligence and utilise the subtext to the MAX! It lets those actors play their range and reveal so much in a touch or a look that would take a whole season for CW to cover. They care about their characters and empower their female characters with as much agency (more?) than the men. So every relationship has an edge and some intriguing and tension! Why the actual fuck wouldn’t you want that?! And rep...same deal...valuing and loving your characters vs ticking a box and throwing new shiny things in to cover for lack of story ideas and character growth. Preach Adam!
@marcus grey calm down. We don't even know what sexuality Wynonna is. She is most likely one of the people who don't label themselves. Their not saying that just because Waverly is something Wynonna is not. The fact is there that Wynonna would be with a woman she is just very in love with Doc. Same with Kat herself, she said she like men and women but feel in love with a man, some say she is bisexual but I don't think she labeled herself as one. As for Andras, it was a bold choice to kill Lexa and yeah it didn't go the way they probably played it too but it was bold. The knew the risked and her showing her interest in that was showing that she was gonna come up with something creative which brought upon the bulletproof vest scene. Her misgendering someone can be completely normal. I do it but not on purpose, it's by accident, she probably did it by accident or wasn't really paying attention. Literally not all the time can you hear or see people in the audience that are talking. Just cut her some slack, she's making a good tv show with great representation of the community.
@marcus grey to you, emily is a racist..but on the show we've seen : black people, not just Shamier who played Dolls, but also kat ex-wife, Kate and now Cleo.., we've seen latinos, like the actress who play Rosita and now with Martina who play Rachel's role, asians too with Varun aka Jeremy and Weverly's fiancé in season 2 (he has Wynonna's baby). Besides, I don't think it would have been better to just make Dolls disappear because he was too important on the show...only death could have been able to close his chapter. He died like what he was, a hero and still be mentioned in the show. In an interview, Emily Andras said that one of the most difficult moment on the show was to film Dolls's death. So, I think that Emily is doing the effort to integrate a lot of ethnicity and not just the black people, in a show which is now a gift to the queers while, Nicole's character was supposed to be in the show only 6 episodes. Do you realize what does it means??? It means that most of all that happened on this show wasn't planned.
Literally! The adoption thing just seemed like a way to continue the progress of the 'Alex wanting to have children someday' thing, since that was the only way the writers could think to deminish Maggie as a season regular character (so that Floriana could then leave Supergirl). It was poor writing for them to just completely make her almost fade into the background with Kelly, while Kelly gets closer to Lena via the company. Nia has so much potential and yet the whole thing with brainy was just weird... why do all the characters ALWAYS have to have SO much romantic drama... can we just have ONE stable couple on the show - PLEASE, it's not hard. And where did John Jones go? Was it intentional or lazy. Why did Monel come to just go back again? Why is Cara being PUSHED into the arms of another guy (a snack of a personality) when there is someone there who is already so clearly served on a gold rimmed platter (a glorious 3 course meal - 3 dimentional being) ??

I agree. CW is "dare to defy" and then pushes their LGBTQ+ characters to the side. Even the characters who know are LGBTQ+ such as Choni, Kevin Keller, Nia and Dansen. (Probably more but I only watch those shows)

Agreed. Thats why i really loved Magnus & Alec in Shadowhunters. Their relationship was beautiful and they had such growth as characters and a couple. They had great chemistry and their relationship was the healthiest and most developed on the show. They argued and had problems but they worked thtough them. They never hid their relationship and were never ashamed of it Beautiful couple
I totally agree with you and this is why I quit Supergirl after Season 3. These writers always try to mold their characters into the plot instead of formulating the plot for their characters. They also honestly don't care about representation, otherwise a) they would have more representation in the writers room (and therefore better storytelling for their minority characters) and b) they would finally start telling real stories with their minority characters. I mean, what has Alex's last big story been? what has Nia's last big story been? this show will sink itself into the ground, not because they don't have the possibilities of telling good stories, but because they don't care enough to tell them. I just feel sorry for the cast that honestly deserves better.

Honestly, one of the things I'm most fed up with (aside from many others) is that Lena's storyline basically dissolved into emotional torture p*rn. She's constantly betrayed, manipulated, assaulted, her successes aren't aknowledged or straight up taken away through a reset of the universe. Writing her drawn-out, overly vile and aggressive revenge plot in S5 didn't help either, because it invalidated some of the best scenes between Lena, Kara, and (if they were there) the rest of the group. So, for god's sake, let Lena as a character catch a break and finally ADDRESS THE TRAUMA YOU CREATED.
YES YES and YES. Lena needs a break... we know she isn't Lex so just stop torturing her, like, as if you really think that if you break her, she's suddenly going to become evil...? Like do you not get who Lena is? She is strong and independent and she has a reasonable justification for everything she does - be it good or bad - so just give her some time to run the company, develope a less volatile relationship with Supergirl/ Kara, and just get her hair down more often - she spends too much time with it up if you ask me - does she always have to be working on something for her to have a life outside of Kara's arms??? I get that if they just want to limit the Queer stuff to Nia, Kelly and Alex (plus the rest) then fine... but please adress the issue somehow about why Lena comes off so strong, and Kara just goes with it - in terms of the obvious romantic tention between them.

I started watching the show because I saw a post in tumblr, I'm straight in a relationship with my boyfriend for 9 years and that's full on chemistry, they could be unstoppable just like chapter 100th showed us in that reality. It's sad they aren't exploiting that I'm still hopeful that is a master plan to make them a couple.

Hey, I used to not even watch this show, but then Lena came in season 2's premiere and made Kara give this awestruck face. I'm a straight nonwhite man (not a white woman like that one person on Twitter claimed about Supercorp shippers), but I'll be damned if this show isn't trying to look like their relationship as anything but a potential Supercorp romance. And I ship the heck out of them. Partly as a joke, but also because I honestly like the actors' chemistry. Remember when Alex talked about really, REALLY liking her friend as a teenager, before realizing years later she was gay? That's what Kara and Lena look like. They have this long twisting and turning love story right in front of viewers, but somehow without the actual love. Lena Luthor is a good friend in season 5, but "Leo Luthor" would be Kara's husband by now.

So I watched the show in its first season on cbs I never watched subsequent seasons there wasn’t any real reason for this I remember it used to come on Monday evenings , once it finished its run on cbs that one of the reasons we stopped watching was I didn’t realize it had transitioned to the cw until about halfway through season 2 i legit thought it had been cancelled. Anyway my daughters started watching the show on Netflix and I just casually started watching with them and you know when you are thinking something but don’t say it out loud , well be my girls actually said what is it with these two ? Couldn’t help but laugh

It's crazy to me that the initial promotion and marketing for this show was all about the revolutionary, girl power superhero thing. And now the network and showrunners can't stomach making their leads bisexual or pansexual in a lesbian relationship. It's like masked homophobia. If they care more about Lex and Karamel then they're contradicting the point of the show. I don't even follow the show anymore but I love hearing about the Supercorp drama and always secretly hope they'll give up and just give the fans what they want.
I wouldn’t say 90% are shipping SuperCorp. We are shipping Katie McGrath! When she came on the show I wanted her with Alex! They had chemistry. Katie could stand next to a house plant and have chemistry. I had a whole plot idea that would have been great - the scientist and the agent bonding over working on “cases together” and falling in love...especially considering the plan to keep Lena as a regular season after season. I would have died for an Alex, Maggie, Lena love triangle. The N Lena and Alex are end game (baby, no baby...that was just an excuse for Lima to leave the show). Alex and Kelly have zero chemistry...and zero screen time to build the relationship. Relationship Potential killed after the baby storyline in Season 4 and it really has gone nowhere. Completely disappointing after Sanvers which really set the bar high...they should have just back the money truck up to Lima Floriana’s front door and convinced her to stay. I think they need to end the Alex and Kelly relationship and get Alex kicking ass again and rappelling out of helicopters...maybe she needs another visit from Sara, to get her head back in the game. I didn’t care about Guardian when it Was James and it makes zero sense that Kelly would pick up the Guardian shield. The actress is completely wrong for taking the story in that direction. But she’d make a great assistant to Lena and helping to develop tech for the team. Fill in where Wynn is missing. No DEO so is Alex’s wrist gadget supposed to make guns and tech for all of them? I’ve never been baited for SuperCorp but I see what you are saying. To me that’s all Katie McGrath...every scene... I just can’t believe I still watch in general...the writers take these awesome concepts and just constantly drop the ball...season 3-5 have been awful! But the nuggets of great storylines are there. And I guess that’s why I keep watching. Thinking this time they will do this cast justice.

A male Lena as "Leo Luthor" would have been this TV show's Lois Lane, where Leo and Kara would be initially friends, while he was idol worshiping/crushing on Supergirl. Then things get complicated through the seasons because while she's falling for Mon-El at first, Kara is also always there to help and sometimes console Leo up through season 4. Maybe Leo flirts with Sam, but stays at a distance since she's his subordinate? Step-dad Leo with Ruby? Thst would be cute. By the time season 5 dropped the "Kara is Supergirl and she betrayed me!" bomb, Leo would turn on Kara, but through his broken heart he would also have realized how much he loved her beyond friendship. He would have left Lex after the scheme failed, and considered confessing to Kara before the battle against Leviathan, but held himself back. He would have told his ex Andrea, with a kryptonite blade to his throat: "If you want to kill Supergirl, you better go through me." And it would have been a powerful affirming moment of his love for both sides of Kara: the human Danvers and heroine Supergirl. After Leviathan was defeated, Kara and Leo would have talked about their feelings, Kara would have admitted how she felt about him, and they would promise to be open with each other from this day forward as they went to take Lex down together. They have their kiss (instead of handshake), and Seadon 5 ends. BOOM. Same plot idea, romance still established.
i think all we can do is not watch it live or use the official streams. this is the only way to make them feel it. hit them where it hurts. it might get cancelled but they had enough time to make changes and they still refuse so.. so long supergirl. :(

I think the writers are treading a dangerously thin line of wanting to give the fans a LITTLE of what they want, but not nearly enough as they NEED to. Put it this way, they can't take back all of the moments that SuperCorp have had together so if they want their ratings to SURVIVE then they HAVE TO at some point CHOSE where they are going with this. Either drop the act, or NUDGE SuperCorp together... because, who are we really kidding here, they only really need to sit down together to get the sparks flying, whereas, they'd have to do something quite bold to PULL Kara and William SuperIAM together.

Dude, same! I havent watched it in a while and didnt see it SuperCorp when I did, but after watching Adam and other reactors and clips or gifs of scenes, HOW CAN THEY NOT BE A THING?! Even I ship it and don’t even watch week to week. The posts that compare their relationship to Kara’s past ones or other couples in the Arrowverse show just how far these writers go.

I remember seeing episodes of this season with my sister (who doesn't watch the show btw) we watched the ones with Dansen and Supercorp and she literally said "Oh so the LGBTQ+ couple is Kara and Lena, that's nice :) " DUDE she saw Alex and Kelly scenes and still thought that the canon there were Kara and Lena!

Comparisons here to #WynonnaEarp...the reason that show can advance the plot so quickly AND be so emotionally affecting in the middle of Western Monster World, is because the writers respect the audience’s intelligence and utilise the subtext to the MAX! It lets those actors play their range and reveal so much in a touch or a look that would take a whole season for CW to cover.
They care about their characters and empower their female characters with as much agency (more?) than the men. So every relationship has an edge and some intriguing and tension! Why the actual fuck wouldn’t you want that?!
And rep...same deal...valuing and loving your characters vs ticking a box and throwing new shiny things in to cover for lack of story ideas and character growth. Preach Adam!

Their not saying that just because Waverly is something Wynonna is not. The fact is there that Wynonna would be with a woman she is just very in love with Doc. Same with Kat herself, she said she like men and women but feel in love with a man, some say she is bisexual but I don't think she labeled herself as one. As for Andras, it was a bold choice to kill Lexa and yeah it didn't go the way they probably played it too but it was bold. The knew the risked and her showing her interest in that was showing that she was gonna come up with something creative which brought upon the bulletproof vest scene. Her misgendering someone can be completely normal. I do it but not on purpose, it's by accident, she probably did it by accident or wasn't really paying attention. Literally not all the time can you hear or see people in the audience that are talking. Just cut her some slack, she's making a good tv show with great representation of the community.

@marcus grey to you, emily is a racist..but on the show we've seen : black people, not just Shamier who played Dolls, but also kat ex-wife, Kate and now Cleo.., we've seen latinos, like the actress who play Rosita and now with Martina who play Rachel's role, asians too with Varun aka Jeremy and Weverly's fiancé in season 2 (he has Wynonna's baby). Besides, I don't think it would have been better to just make Dolls disappear because he was too important on the show...only death could have been able to close his chapter. He died like what he was, a hero and still be mentioned in the show. In an interview, Emily Andras said that one of the most difficult moment on the show was to film Dolls's death. So, I think that Emily is doing the effort to integrate a lot of ethnicity and not just the black people, in a show which is now a gift to the queers while, Nicole's character was supposed to be in the show only 6 episodes. Do you realize what does it means??? It means that most of all that happened on this show wasn't planned.
They ignored dansen, kelly, nia and alex child adoption story. Like why.
Literally! The adoption thing just seemed like a way to continue the progress of the 'Alex wanting to have children someday' thing, since that was the only way the writers could think to deminish Maggie as a season regular character (so that Floriana could then leave Supergirl). It was poor writing for them to just completely make her almost fade into the background with Kelly, while Kelly gets closer to Lena via the company.
Nia has so much potential and yet the whole thing with brainy was just weird... why do all the characters ALWAYS have to have SO much romantic drama... can we just have ONE stable couple on the show - PLEASE, it's not hard.
And where did John Jones go? Was it intentional or lazy. Why did Monel come to just go back again? Why is Cara being PUSHED into the arms of another guy (a snack of a personality) when there is someone there who is already so clearly served on a gold rimmed platter (a glorious 3 course meal - 3 dimentional being) ??

You are right on!!!! Supergirl has a lot of straight fans that want Supercorp canon. They have the best chemistry on screen. I want them as a couple so much. The writers are idiots. Agreed. Thats why i really loved Magnus & Alec in Shadowhunters. Their relationship was beautiful and they had such growth as characters and a couple. They had great chemistry and their relationship was the healthiest and most developed on the show. They argued and had problems but they worked thtough them. They never hid their relationship and were never ashamed of it

I totally agree with you and this is why I quit Supergirl after Season 3. These writers always try to mold their characters into the plot instead of formulating the plot for their characters. They also honestly don't care about representation, otherwise a) they would have more representation in the writers room (and therefore better storytelling for their minority characters) and b) they would finally start telling real stories with their minority characters. I mean, what has Alex's last big story been? what has Nia's last big story been? this show will sink itself into the ground, not because they don't have the possibilities of telling good stories, but because they don't care enough to tell them. I just feel sorry for the cast that honestly deserves better.

Honestly, one of the things I'm most fed up with (aside from many others) is that Lena's storyline basically dissolved into emotional torture p*rn. She's constantly betrayed, manipulated, assaulted, her successes aren't aknowledged or straight up taken away through a reset of the universe. Writing her drawn-out, overly vile and aggressive revenge plot in S5 didn't help either, because it invalidated some of the best scenes between Lena, Kara, and (if they were there) the rest of the group. So, for god's sake, let Lena as a character catch a break and finally ADDRESS THE TRAUMA YOU CREATED.
YES YES and YES. Lena needs a break... we know she isn't Lex so just stop torturing her, like, as if you really think that if you break her, she's suddenly going to become evil...? Like do you not get who Lena is? She is strong and independent and she has a reasonable justification for everything she does - be it good or bad - so just give her some time to run the company, develope a less volatile relationship with Supergirl/ Kara, and just get her hair down more often - she spends too much time with it up if you ask me - does she always have to be working on something for her to have a life outside of Kara's arms???

I started watching the show because I saw a post in tumblr, I'm straight in a relationship with my boyfriend for 9 years and that's full on chemistry, they could be unstoppable just like chapter 100th showed us in that reality. Hey, I used to not even watch this show, but then Lena came in season 2's premiere and made Kara give this awestruck face. I'm a straight nonwhite man (not a white woman like that one person on Twitter claimed about Supercorp shippers), but I'll be damned if this show isn't trying to look like their relationship as anything but a potential Supercorp romance. And I ship the heck out of them. Partly as a joke, but also because I honestly like the actors' chemistry.
Remember when Alex talked about really, REALLY liking her friend as a teenager, before realizing years later she was gay? That's what Kara and Lena look like. They have this long twisting and turning love story right in front of viewers, but somehow without the actual love.
Lena Luthor is a good friend in season 5, but "Leo Luthor" would be Kara's husband by now.

So I watched the show in its first season on cbs I never watched subsequent seasons there wasn’t any real reason for this I remember it used to come on Monday evenings , once it finished its run on cbs that one of the reasons we stopped watching was I didn’t realize it had transitioned to the cw until about halfway through season 2 i legit thought it had been cancelled.
Anyway my daughters started watching the show on Netflix and I just casually started watching with them and you know when you are thinking something but don’t say it out loud , well be my girls actually said what is it with these two ? Couldn’t help but laugh

It's crazy to me that the initial promotion and marketing for this show was all about the revolutionary, girl power superhero thing. And now the network and showrunners can't stomach making their leads bisexual or pansexual in a lesbian relationship. It's like masked homophobia. If they care more about Lex and Karamel then they're contradicting the point of the show. I don't even follow the show anymore but I love hearing about the Supercorp drama and always secretly hope they'll give up and just give the fans what they want.
I wouldn’t say 90% are shipping SuperCorp. We are shipping Katie McGrath! When she came on the show I wanted her with Alex! They had chemistry. Katie could stand next to a house plant and have chemistry. I had a whole plot idea that would have been great - the scientist and the agent bonding over working on “cases together” and falling in love...especially considering the plan to keep Lena as a regular season after season. I would have died for an Alex, Maggie, Lena love triangle. The
N Lena and Alex are end game (baby, no baby...that was just an excuse for Lima to leave the show).
Alex and Kelly have zero chemistry...and zero screen time to build the relationship. Relationship Potential killed after the baby storyline in Season 4 and it really has gone nowhere. Completely disappointing after Sanvers which really set the bar high...they should have just back the money truck up to Lima Floriana’s front door and convinced her to stay.
I think they need to end the Alex and Kelly relationship and get Alex kicking ass again and rappelling out of helicopters...maybe she needs another visit from Sara, to get her head back in the game.
I didn’t care about Guardian when it Was James and it makes zero sense that Kelly would pick up the Guardian shield. The actress is completely wrong for taking the story in that direction. But she’d make a great assistant to Lena and helping to develop tech for the team. Fill in where Wynn is missing. No DEO so is Alex’s wrist gadget supposed to make guns and tech for all of them?

A male Lena as "Leo Luthor" would have been this TV show's Lois Lane, where Leo and Kara would be initially friends, while he was idol worshiping/crushing on Supergirl. Then things get complicated through the seasons because while she's falling for Mon-El at first, Kara is also always there to help and sometimes console Leo up through season 4. Maybe Leo flirts with Sam, but stays at a distance since she's his subordinate? Step-dad Leo with Ruby? Thst would be cute.
By the time season 5 dropped the "Kara is Supergirl and she betrayed me!" bomb, Leo would turn on Kara, but through his broken heart he would also have realized how much he loved her beyond friendship. He would have left Lex after the scheme failed, and considered confessing to Kara before the battle against Leviathan, but held himself back.
He would have told his ex Andrea, with a kryptonite blade to his throat: "If you want to kill Supergirl, you better go through me." And it would have been a powerful affirming moment of his love for both sides of Kara: the human Danvers and heroine Supergirl.
After Leviathan was defeated, Kara and Leo would have talked about their feelings, Kara would have admitted how she felt about him, and they would promise to be open with each other from this day forward as they went to take Lex down together. They have their kiss (instead of handshake), and Seadon 5 ends.
BOOM. Same plot idea, romance still established.
i think all we can do is not watch it live or use the official streams. this is the only way to make them feel it. hit them where it hurts. it might get cancelled but they had enough time to make changes and they still refuse so.. so long supergirl. :(

I could rant for hours with you and agree on Supergirl opinions that you have. But I know I will still watch Supergirl all the way through because Katie is my Queen and I wish for her to have a job always because her presence on screen on any show/movie as long or short it is is a BLESSING.

The people have spoken on the most recent polls. The ship that people want to see sail is Supercorp. So like can we pls have our canon Supercorp? Can someone send a letter to Greg Berlanti because clearly telling the Supergirl writers/producers isn’t working.
I think the writers are treading a dangerously thin line of wanting to give the fans a LITTLE of what they want, but not nearly enough as they NEED to. Put it this way, they can't take back all of the moments that SuperCorp have had together so if they want their ratings to SURVIVE then they HAVE TO at some point CHOSE where they are going with this. Either drop the act, or NUDGE SuperCorp together... because, who are we really kidding here, they only really need to sit down together to get the sparks flying, whereas, they'd have to do something quite bold to PULL Kara and William SuperIAM together.
I'm looking forward to part 4.

I feel so bad for the Supercorp fans. Is all about the writers and producers. I like to present an opposite of this writers. The Person of Interest writers wrote the first scene between Root and Shaw that was just a regular scene, but Amy Acker and Sarah Shahi made so gay and so much chemistry that the writers just went with it and made it canon.
