The song is about being with someone and no longer being in love thus being unhappy together.. When he says “you know what to do” its telling you that know what you need to do, if you are unhappy you need to break up.. he hides the darker meaning of the song with a happy dance tune.. so damn clever

The reason that you see Andre as the whole band is because he played every instrument on this track except the bass
the song is about an unhappy relationship but it's also about the fact that all we care about is the music, and not the artist behind it, who's clearly going through something. He's hiding dark and sad lyrics through an upbeat melody, and all people do is jam out to it, not paying attention to what he's saying, and he knows it.
