What would you do to go about the process of figuring out why a feature will fail to unbend? I would absolutely love a video where you go about ways to solve why a certain feature will not unbend and go about different ways to solve this issue.

This is procedure if your shape of model is complicated to create by standard flat and wall features

edge ,sketched,surface n connect rip ..all r rocking....in other soft such coomand is not avail for sheet metal...

will the edge rip work without doing the edge bend ??

No, it is not possible. For Sheetmetal you need to create Edge bend too. (try to check this video.. You can see that if you select Edge rip.. System automatically creates Bends on the another edges)
