That bass tone 😍😍
They get that bass tone and cut though the mix again on the new releases I'll die happy.. Thats the one area I think Megadeth hasn't gotten right since 02.. The loss of the bass sound being levelled out to not be buried by the guitars.

i'm glad they're finally mixing it up again by playing songs that's outside of their usual lineup, like we haven't heard this and Take No Prisoners and others for years now, so I hope they keep mixing up the setlist, there's a lot of widely underrated songs that they don't usually play live that deserve some attention-

I don’t know why he doesn’t just drop his vocal an octave lower. The songs would sound different live but at least he’d be able to sing. It’s like he just refuses to let go.
Not being negative here. I’m as big of a Megadeth fan as the next Megadeth fan.
An OCTAVE? That would literally be a grumble and it wouldn’t cut through. Maybe tune down another whole tone. Dave’s voice went to shit in 2002.

I hear ya man. It would be a grumble yet in order to hit the higher registers he’d have to go down that much I feel.
I thought his voice sounded a great balance of changing and still young on UA. Had some depth but he could still get up there to some of the notes. I felt it really started tanking on Endgame.
@@gmgmg14 I’m not sure if you’re fully aware of low a whole octave would be just to hit those higher notes. That’s literally in a normal speaking register. At that point he might as well just read the lyrics the audience lol

If you knew about megadeth you'd know he did audition singers in the beginning and couldn't get the sound he was looking for so he did it himself. His vocals fit megadeth prefect and he was a pretty good vocalist at one point he's just done by thus point vocally. This is not a good example of Dave vocals.
Always could hear bass in Megadeth never turned down like Metallica would do

I saw them live about 2 years ago and yeah his voice isn't the same as it used to be obviously because he's in the '60s now but he does still try to sing as high as he used to and some songs just doesn't sound as good sadly. I know he can't help it but I'm just being honest. Still do you think I'm complaining? Not at all I saw my heroes live for the very first time two years ago I'm not complaining one damn bit! 🤘🤘🤘 And yes I know it's only Dave that's the original member now but still it was Megadeth!!! 🤘🤘
One of my favourite songs from Megadeth. Pity Dave's live vocals are so poor here. It's cool that the band is still making albums and touring after all this time, though.

He had cancer and he's old, idk what you expected from his vocals. besides, theyve gotten better since then.
@@NAlvazaz I've got nothing but respect for him, especially after all he's been through with his arm injury and throat cancer. I've been a fan of the band since 1990 and I'm now 48 years old. However, I think it's becoming patently obvious that Dave, generally speaking, is in no state to sing live anymore. If he was a much more humble guy, he'd hire a proper vocalist to sing these songs live. He can get away with it in the studio, but not live. It's not an attack or me being insensitive -- it's a fact.

I saw them in paris in June and daves vocals did not sound like this. I was actually surprised at how good he sounded that night. This clip doesn't do him justice
Oh dear, Dave sounds like he's struggling bad vocally with this one. Not talking melodically, but struggling to sing it at tempo and running out of breathe at points.
Not all that surprising given what hes gone through. I like this version of the band though, interested to hear what they write with Teemu.

Out of respect for his majestic work called Megadeth, Mustaine should hire a professional singer. Just look at what Kerry King did by hiring the great Mark Osegueda to continue the Slayer legacy at the highest level. Megadeth's legacy will end with Dave's limited vocal ability. Clarification: I feel sorry for him and his serious health problems. For that very reason he should look for someone who can do the vocal work well.
Dave is the voice of Megadeth. No Mustaine no Megadeth. Dave will retire before hiring another singer, rightfully so

Have you seen current Heavy Metal bands with 15-18 song set lists without a break? Look at KSE's shows just for one example. And the vocal demands are infinitely higher than what Megadeth requires. He just can't sing decently anymore but if you enjoy it, go for it. The background photo on your channel is spectacular. It´s a Belgian Groenendael or wolf? Cheers!
