What if you cant swap the ssd? can I clone via usb from old laptop to an external ssd (not m.2 just an external usbc ssd) and then from this external ssd back to the new laptop?
Thanks for this. I wanted to make sure this was the workflow and you confirmed it. My SSD is at 46% and I just bought the new Easeus Disk Clone pro. I've always liked their products.
Your Orico SSD enclosure is not compatible with my SSD form factor M.2 2280 B+M Key with SATA protocol. Can you recommend one? e.g. does this one work : SABRENT USB 3.2 10Gbps Type C Tool Free Enclosure for M.2 PCIe NVMe and SATA SSDs (EC-SNVE)? Thx
Really appreciate you making this video man, upgrading one of my SSD's to a 990 pro and didn't want to have to reinstall my OS and everything else, and since I'd never had to clone an SSD before I wasn't sure just how practical it would be. After seeing just how easy it really is I fell MUCH better doing so now. Again, serious thanks for making this video. I watched a few others and they were dragging it out without really giving any info, yours is definitely the one I'll recommend to friends if they should ever have to clone an SSD.
Edit: If you’re buying any Samsung drive there’s free software directly from Samsung you can use to clone the drive and not have to pay $40+ just to do so.
Dude! Your video saved me hours of trying to transfer everything the old way and saved me from buying a new laptop! I followed your instructions exactly and less than 10 minutes, I had cloned my SSD, installed it and WOW, everything worked and was cloned. You ROCK! I upgraded to Pro on your link. You deserve it! Thanks for posting!
Helpful! I have EaseUs PM! So when MS sees new hardware (SSD), they won't want re-verification of Windows (10 Pro) or anything else, like they used to?
Im not computer savvy by any means. However, I followed the video instructions to the T, and was able to upgrade my ssd 500gb to a 2tb in under 30 minutes and started up perfectly. Thank you for this video.
I tried to use the free edition of easeUS to clone my SSD but it didn't work... It prompt me to buy the software... is there any free cloning software that you know of??? Thanks ... By the way great video...very very helpful. Two Thumbs up.👍👍

Review Guide. 1. It uses a paod software. 9usd for 1month 2. Its the most stable way to clone without hassles. Free cracked versions always have issues. 3. Plug and play install. (Takes about 7 to 15min SSD to SSD 300+-GB) HHD to SSD may take you hours... Unfortunately. 4. Make sure you have 3.1USB casing/adapter for fastest results...
i dont have that ssd adaptor but my laptop has two slot of ssd can i use the second slot then clone my c drive to the new ssd in second slot? is that the same thing?
I purchased the EaseUS Partition Master Software and it worked to perfection. The latest version is quite different, but still easy to use. At first I had a failed transfer when I chose the *"Clone OS Disk"* option as opposed to *"Migrate OS".* I had an error message at the end that said that my target disk had insufficient space, which was obviously not, being this a new 2TB SS drive and copying from a 500GB SS drive . I couple of times I had the same issue until I tried *Migrate OS,* which "Migrates Windows OS, programs from system disk to another disk." I thought that only the Clone OS Disk option would actually copy he OS plus data. The first one, "Migrate," I thought it would only migrate the OS. Yet, on my third tried, I picked the option and it not only migrated the OS and all installed programs, but also some content I had in my desktop. I had already moved all content from my C: drive to another drive as precaution, but in the end it turned out that the Migrate OS option did everything. So, at this point I have no clue what's the difference between these two options. I think EaseUS should make it much clearer what each option does because the descriptions are very similar and you end up taking a guest, which means you would have to repeat the whole thing again if you didn't pick the correct one. The whole process took about 35-40 minutes in my machine. As a note, I also purchased the EaseUS DupFile Cleaner to find and delete duplicates files so I could clean up my drive, and it worked great. Yes, all this was paid but for me it's worth it because it works and saved a lot of time, and-who knows-maybe money too because I didn't risk finding a free software that I could potentially harm my computer and compromise data if it turned out to be a virus. I already owned and old version of EaseUS Todo PCTrans and I thought I could copy my entire drive this way. I couldn't for it will not Migrate the OS, but that program is good to transfer individual programs. My two cents!
@@HasifYusof He said Migrate OS - I tried using Clone and it copied the drive but when installing the into laptop it did not boot into my windows profile with all my custom settings so was useless. Will try the Migrate option or use some other software.

What if I need to move my OS from the SSD currently in my pc to my new one and I don’t have a a second slot for an SSD or an adapter like shown in the video?
I think the software is good. It has a lifetime license for 2 PCs. It is advantageous on my part because I have 2 PCs. It is expensive in Philippine pesos, but I'll save money for this software. I hate paying monthly subs for a license if I can get it for a lifetime. Para sa mga hindi pa kaya ang lifetime license ng software katulad ko, tiyaga-tiyaga muna tayo sa manual process.... hahahaha
why would you want to do that? that is much more complicated and probably not even possible because the cloning software overwrites everything in the target disk (which is currently running) and you would need to install an OS beforehand. just dont do it, do it the way he showed in the video
Because I cannot start my computer with the old ssd card. So I figured I could put the new one in to start my computer then transfer everything off the old one.
You need to pay to use this cloning software even though it is said free trial when you click proceed to clone it brings you to subcription page. Waste my time

Aparently 'Migrate' is the setting your after though I will try that out for myself soon :)
