We can’t decide which Trade is our favorite as well. 🤔 Love this playable mech build!! Excited for the large playable terrain to come later as well. You are so talented! And thank you to everyone who has supported the Kickstarter so far. Y’all are the best!
Same, still can't decide which i will play but then again as i'll run this most likely with my DnD group i'll probably be the warden. On the note of the playable terrain and kickstarter: It might better to have the printed map instead of printed character sheets for the Legendary Edition as most of us will definitly play more than twice and are going to print the character sheets anyway.
@@roycebarrios1681 I believe he was being sarcastic. Pretty much everyone knows what a baby wipe is, but his point was that he had never considered using one for a build.
I totally get what you mean about feeling slowed down by a larger scale. As the scale goes up, I feel the logic of the pieces becomes more important. You can get away with a lot more when the scale is small and you're just fitting greeblies where you can. Large scale, those same greeblies have to make sense, and there's a lot more gap filling. That said, I loved this larger scale mule!
From the comments i have already read its clear to me your creativity, passion, humor and your commitment to excellence in all you do is significantly inspirational and impactful to so many people. I watch a lot of channels on TH-cam but your channel means the most to me. Thanks for all you do Boylei!
The mule being able to fit 28mm bases on it reminds me of old 40k ork rules that worked that way. The truck carries as many models as you can physically fit.
*Funded in 20min* Well deserved, Sir. *Tripled in 24h* Holy shit... For the MULE "kit", i think a good idea might be to have a basic "frame" of the wagon body and legs, and all the gear is a 2nd sprue of basically just accessories so players can basically bash their own look for the vehicle over the base frame. Everything from back packs, forestalls, piping and gear can be basically strapped on any empty spaces on that body.
Boiley! I love your Mech video. This is the first thing I've done on TH-cam, and I want to say THANK YOU! It's unique content, and I'm proud to be one of your subscribers.
All looking great! I would love to see you make a variant from the "everyman" rusty vehicles in the WIW to build a High-End-Fancy-Pants Rail Baron version, with brass/gold gilding and clean dark wrought iron. Someone the people can really hate, but they look damn good.
Must be a very satisfying feeling for you seeing all of this come to life. Watching a world you created from the ground up grow into other mediums such as board games is fantastic to see, it just makes you wonder what could be next! Maybe a book series?
Said this on a previous video, but I'd absolutely LOVE a recording of your play sessions with this in the future. If that's something you're comfortable with, of course. And I really like the design of the mules! I mean, I like the design of _everything_ so far, to be honest. I can imagine myself as the fourth member of a prospective party, wandering the rugged wastelands in search of some odd McGuffin or other, trying our best to make a living in a harsh and unforgiving world, walking by day and keeping watch by night, not letting our guards down 'till we make it to the "safety" of the next settlement or outpost. This is gonna be good.
If you don't want to wait on the baby wipes to dry, you can get a box of shop rags from your local big box hardware store. They are similar in feel, but come pre-dried and should be considerably cheaper. Also, congrats on the presumed need for the baby-wipes!
I was shocked to wake up to find the Kickstarter already funded, and the earlybird already sold out that morning, after only half an hour. I'm excited to get to play in your world! Can't wait!
Phenomenal work as always! It'd be cool if you did something that involved the civil war. I love "the good the bad and the ugly," it'd be cool to see something like a civil war battle in the west with some monsters attacking the soldiers.
It just keeps getting more and more epic-er as you go. (Yes, that’s a word…I just made it up! 😂) Love this build. And all the related work. So amazing!! Can’t wait to play the game someday. Bravo!!! 😎
My 7-year-old jumped off the couch clapping and waving his legs at 07:02. "I can't believe he's doing another train layout! I want to be the FIRST ONE to watch it!!!" He loves trains and he's pumped.
IIRC, there was a company in the USA that briefly tried making tractors steered with reins. I don't know how successful they were - I believe they got bought out quite early on. But it shows that the concept is definitely one that made sense to people.
I love how this came out. Very nice detailing, while leaving enough open space to be usable in play. I've been rewatching all of the WIW vids, and one that I think would make a great stretch goal is your Wendigo Moose. Since you made it from scratch, there's no other party to compensate for using in this way. Scale him up, and you're good to go.
Love your videos so much, thank you for creating so much. Hugely inspiring and watching them helps me to unwind after a busy day in the studio. Thanks for inspiring me to start my own channel!
Your Mule Mech looks great in a larger scale, Boylei! I'm looking forward to seeing this and other mechs from your WIW come out in official kit form at my local hobby shop in the near future. Though I'm a modeler, not a gamer, I think I'd like to build one or two of these intriguing vehicles. That said, I like how you stated around 1:50 that "scratch building will always be an option" in your Wild Imaginary West game; unlike some other manufacturers who insist on gamers using their bespoke - and expensive! - products. (I'm looking at you, Games Workshop.) To facilitate this, may I suggest that you consider offering a series of (affordable) accessories/greeblies packages to aid scratch builders working mainly with sheet styrene and balsa/basswood to make their miniatures with the proper "look and feel" that you established. As always, thanks for sharing your skills, imagination and inspiration with us! 386th Like.
Amazing work as usual! And congrats on the kickstarter! I can't wait to get my rulebook! I've been studying the free content downloadable a this point and presenting the universe a bit to my players - they're starting to have ideas for characters. But we don't do one shots, so we won't start playing until the full book is out. I can't wait for the next trade to be revealed (as I'm sure the 200k goal will be reached), since it's hard for them to make a final decision without knowing all the options. And in turn, I can't fine tune the rest of the team with the appropriate NPCs when I don't know my players' trades yet. Also, I can't help but gush about the dice! They are gorgeous!
I adore this series, I love the universe, and the dioramas. It would be cool to see something to do with Ants, and Ant Hills, or a treehouse attack. Maybe bandits live there.
Dude that is awesome. I was just sharing older videos of yours to my brother's. I've been following you for years. So happy that you and your wife have got a place and you can continue to build your lore and your wild imaginary West!
Congrats on the house, and congrats on the success of the campaign so far! Watch that number rise with every passing hour made that the most exciting work day in a very long time. Can't wait to see the project in hand.
As someone who's been planning a D&D adjacent Western themed campaign for a hot minute now, I cannot wait to see how big and flushed out the ttrpg universe gets to be!
I’m hoping to convince some friends to play this with me, as I am dying to DM it and get crafting for playable terrain. Your work and the direction you’ve taken everything over the years is a downright inspiration to me. I’m stoked I get to buy into this fantastic world and get to play some imaginary west RP!!
Holy moly that looks good! I told some guys at the game store over in Centerville about your builds and they didn't seem to understand but I was still excited and happy to share with them and spread the Boylei Gospel! Keep up the amazing work man!!
I love to see this to be come a video game progress from the 2 leg walker to the bigger ones and changing the 4 stall frequency when entering new regions
Something to consider, Google "ready to assemble log cabin". They're all over the place and as the name implies, they are ready to assemble. Granted many are NOT traditional looking but they are pre-cut, flat packed and sent to you. All you need is a foundation or piles to assemble it on. Would definitely fit the whole theme BUT they can be pricey and hard to insulate. However, you could go the more affordable route and get a ToughShed. Instead of a log cabin you'd go barn style. Which a shed would be way easier to customize, insulate and run power to in the long run. Plus there are tons a videos on converting a shed into a studio, workshop and even a tiny house on TH-cam. Food for thought.
Congrats on the house and thanks for making the WIW it’s one of my favorite universes and the stories are amazing. I can’t wait for the game and wish you good luck with the launch!
Have you ever thought of a smaller Horse sized Mech for Richer folks who don't want a horse? It could be a cool concept. Love what you do very excited for my WIW box to come.
Congratulations on the new home, I'm sure you will have no issue finding someone to fund your new studio with your massive following. Looking forward to seeing who steps up and what the new studio will look like some day!
Large train scale idea lol... Massive traveling city. I would love to see a version of the characters from the movie Tombstone as WIW people. Even if its just for fun.
Amazing! Congrats on your new house! I'm very glad that you're going to still be doing the small scale WIW dioramas. Can't wait to see the town all done. I love these larger scale builds too.
Congrats on the Kickstarter game and the new house. Another great build and I look forward to all the great ones you have in store for the future, glad to hear there's no stopping in sight for now. Keep Up The Amazing Work. 🙂👍👍👍

Congratulations on your recent little family addition!
Exactly why I came to the comments
Congrats on becoming a father!

@@roycebarrios1681 I believe he was being sarcastic. Pretty much everyone knows what a baby wipe is, but his point was that he had never considered using one for a build.
Next time you should make a life sized one that works so you can trample your enemies
Yes
Well then you are definitely not going to like my steam powered super spider. With the stepping and the squishing and the webs made of nylon!

That baby wipe + mod podge combo instantly reads as canvas at this scale- absolutely inspired choice 👍👍👍
Isn't he the happiest guy on youtube? Congrats man, love your work!
