The kids in Hana have a fantastic set of ethics. T he rest of the country should be so grounded! That ROAD is truly memorable and heartstopping! Been there.

Because it is technology. Hana isn't a primitive town, it has modern tech, like TVs, cellphones, radios, and yes, computers, too. McDonald's and Walmart are just fast food/retail stores that aren't a necessity; but accessible 2 hours away. Same concept just like any small town on the U.S. mainland with no McD's or Walmart. Some small towns in other states don't even have a shopping mall. Don't be so ignorant.
