The problem with his question about Trump and pride is that there is no such thing as a humble politician. If you think you are a good choice to lead a nation of over three hundred million people, you have a big ego. Trump is not as polished because he wasn't raised from birth to be in politics like most other American leaders, so he comes off as more visibly arrogant but for the most part people that support him understand that people like George Bush and Barack Obama are just faking their humility and are every bit as arrogant as Trump is.

There is a term for a humble Presidential candidate: loser with massive campaign debt.

In my understanding, American evangelicals tend to appreciate the accomplishments of their country, and view it as a God gifted land of opportunities. Trump emphasises the resurgence of their faith, that’s one of the motives to vote for him.

I read once he considered preachers as hucksters and religion rubbish. He mocked Mike Pence behind his back in the White House. But then he did not stop counting the certificates and that did it.

I think this constant analysis of Trump's personal life/pride/failings and wondering how evangelicals could vote for him is very unfair. Is Biden humble or moral? Isn't Obama a malignant narcissist? Doesn't every president make promises of prosperity? And what kind a Christian could support ant candidate with the values of the democrat party? This isn't a solid commitment to being a republican but voting our values.

      Trumps promises
      1. Everyone will have healthcare - no
      2. Mexico will pay for the wall no
      3. North Korea is no longer a nuclear threat - still a threat
      4. I will bring back jobs - Biden has done better
      5. It is easy to win a tariff war = Really
      6. I will eliminate the national debt - He actually increased it
      7. I will defeat ISIS in 30 days Still around
      8. If elected I will release my taxes.= Cheated on his taxes.

The Narcissistic Personalty -Trump - The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump. Believing you are better than others Exaggerating your achievements or talents Expecting constant praise and admiration Believing you are special Failing to recognize other people’s emotions and feeling Expecting others to go along with your ideas and plans Taking advantage of others Expressing disdain for those who you feel to be inferior Being Jealous of others Believing others are jealous of you Being easly hurt and rejected Having fragile self-esteem Appearing tough-minded or unemotional

      @noelhausler2911 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

"Malignant narcissism is a psychological disorder in which a person has an inflated sense of self-worth, a need for admiration, and a disregard for others." When Trump one Obama invited him around to the White House and even opened the door for Melania. Trump did not invite Biden. Obama turned up at Trumps inauguration Trump did not turn up at Biden's inauguration. When you write "voting our values" pray till me what they are.

This is first I've heard of Molly Worthen.
When she says she's at University of North Carolina in the first couple minutes, I wonder if she and Bart Ehrman have private debates with each other?
If so, I'd love to be a fly on the wall for those discussions.

World Prison Brief. The American system focuses on punishing the prisoners. Norway, on the other hand, focuses on rehabilitating their prisoners. Norway has a recidivism rate of 20% while the United States has a rate of 76.6%.

Supernatural healing is irrefutable proof! We don’t see it in areas with long-established faith communities as much because ‘signs and wonders’ are typically for the unbelievers or new believers. I say typically because miracles still happen (I’m alive thanks to miracles through prayer). The danger is when Christians chase after the Miracles without taking the time and effort to build their faith.

In Luke several women encounter TWO angels INSIDE the tomb. Jesus body Taken. In John's gospel. In John Mary by herself sees the tomb open goes and gets Peter and John who come and check the tomb see it empty and leave. So either N T Wright (yes) or Bart Ehrman (No)
