@DesiCoupleinLondon i have a doubt. I will be staying in the UK for 3 years from Sep 2023 onwards. My indian DL is valid till 2030. I have also got an IDP valid for 1 year. After 1 year, can i again renew my IDP and continue to drive in UK because now Indian embassy allows renewal of IDP from UK itself. Or after 1 year i need to mandatorily apply for a UK driving licence. If it is so then getting an IDP was a waste for me because indian driving licence was anyway valid for 1 year.
Yes it's a mandate Indian license can only work for one year.
Idp is not waste if you plan to hire a car for driving then in that case companies are asking for IDP

Hi bro, actually i used to have uk full driving licence but the thing is it was revoked by police officer under the racist remarks as i was heading on cycle on A13. So is their any way i can challenge this issue in court because now its been like 2 months since this incident happen.

Another way for the UK to make money from Indians on Skilled Worker Visa. They allow us drive for a year on the Indian License but this suddenly becomes invalid after a year. If you can drive for year means that you can drive. They why go through the full process of verification, online test and practical test. Just pointless.

Modi is the only leader who can fix this problem. My Country has to sign agreement with DVLA for Indian licence holders to convert to U.k. UAE has agreement with DVLA for their citizens. UN Convention on Road and Safety 1968 agreement is pending.
