What if my loop contains straight lines - rectangle with rounded corners? This option does not let me choose whole loop

I've tried it . But the "Alignment Method" doesnt work when I choose "Tangent to Curve"
It asks for the "Face Normal"
However when I choose "Align to Seed" then it works fine. But I want "Tangent to Curve" option..
Please help
