This classic hymn got a major makeover in 2006 by the amazing CCM group Big Daddy Weave. I had a lot of fun adapting their upbeat version of Trust and Obey to my own a cappella style. I hope you enjoy!

I repented to God while listening to this old hymn hearing it again and again. Who else can we really trust? There is elsewhere no place our heart finds peace, forgiveness, mercy, truth, life and way than in Jesus Christ alone. All glory and majesty, dominion and honor to God in heaven and Christ HIS son our Savior and King.

I love this hymn. This is one of my favorites. I especially love the line, “for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.” Incredible rendition of this amazing hymn

You are soooo right! They are songs about our relationship with our Savior. when we are down, they lift us up to new heights. If we are celebrating a new step upward toward an even closer relationship with God, we can sing from a knowledge that cannot ever be taken away,

Way- cool. David, you jumped from 3- part vocal (in- words) harmony to 8- part vocal (in-words) harmony for a few bars at the end to wrap it up. Very nicely done!!

I never heard this song befire. I accepted Jesus about 50 years ago. But you see, he died for our sins. Yes mine, but I never thought of it that way. This song makes it so personal. He died for ME. I'm so special. Everyone is. So wonderful!

I like, except for the pleading for Jesus to "love me too" because we say we love Him. We love Him because He first loved us. He loved us while we were still enemies to Him. We express our love to Him by repenting and trusting Him with loyal obedience. Please forgive me if it sounds picky about an otherwise heartfelt rendition of worship.

There is this pastor who is doing weekly broadcasts online because of corona crisis and his church still remaining closed and he sings himself online with his terrible voice and the charms of the hymns are all gone. I will donate your recordings to him, perhaps he could use them instead of him singing. BTW, I have great respect for him. He gives great sermons online. It's just that I can't tolerate his awful voice butchering all these beautiful tunes. LOL
