I've made at least 50 kale vodka washes. No need to boil kale, just blitz in a blender with some water. Also no need to add vitamin tablets, kale is super rich in nutrients, plenty to keep yeast happy. Try using dextrose or inverted sugar, cleaner finished product and easier for yeast to consume. Cheers.
Thank you @billmicallef4786 for your comment. A brewing buddy also asked the very same thing only last week why I cooked my kale first. To be honest every post I read about using Kale and every video showed people boiling it first. This is why I did it. Yes, come to think about it, Kale is supposed to be a super vegetable which is fully loaded with goodness, so not using a vitamin tablet also makes sense. I don't tend to use dextrose myself due to the higher cost. I am still testing the RAPT Temperature Controller & Pills out, but once done I will do a cold kale wash. Thank you for your comment and telling me, I do appreciate it.
