Dam it I just got the the orange pvc Harbor Freight hose ! $20 only but I didn’t even know they had this hybrid one , I just looked it up and it’s only $10 more bucks. I still have the receipt though literally just got it n now I have no choice but to shoot a nail through it tomorrow at work and play dumb about not noticing the bright as the surface of sun orange hose and tell my boss that I need to go return it and secretly upgrade. This always happens to me when I buy stuff the next newer better model comes out or at least I find out about it after it’s too late .

Destruction isn't necessary. Just take it back and return, they have a no questions asked policy (or at least they did) Simply return it, and get the one you want. G.

the day finally came that I have been praying and dreaming about,it finally got crushed and has the smallest leak ever but I’m completely disgusted by this micro leak and refuse to fix it. It’s a long awaited blessing in my eyes. This time I was smart enough to look up what’s new at the freight n they have a new blue lay flat hose and this green hybrid one . I’m going head on down and check them both out

I also prefer overhand on short lengths where the end is free to spin, but if the cable is very long, or worse the end is still attached, over and under is the only way to get a clean coil.
The TV guys like their figure 8 thing where both ends can be attached and the cable can be pulled off witout tangling.

Very true with things being attached on both ends. I never run into that situation- so over is all I use. Take care, G.

I have been coiling my house and hanging it on the wall with no problems. Glad to see you coil them as I do. I’d like to get a good realer for the wall but when you said you wouldn’t use those hoses in a realer, I’ll keep looking because most come with a hose. Thanks for another great video!

My reel came from HD or Lowes years ago but the one from HF looks identical to mine. The hose lasted a few years then I changed it to the one I have on it now. Take care, G.

Only you could do a review on an air hose and hold my interest.

Thanks G, I have a couple of the Central Pneumatic hoses and was getting bubbles in them so I switched to the GoodYear rubber hoses....they are heavier but I feel safer when I step over them if you get my drift! ;-) My reel has a Campbell Hausfeld hose in it and it performs great. I use the same coiling technique, it is quick and clean. Have a great weekend.

Yeah Larry, I think my GoodYear is about 13-15yrs old and is still in great shape. Good info on the CH hose. Take care, G.

Years ago a friend was not getting good pressure from his air tools . I told him to change his hose after he put a new hose everything worked perfect then . Who would think an air hose can wear out ?

I've seen air hoses get bubbles on the outside jacket. I would assume that they can get a bubble on the inside too.

Good info Wayne! They can break down from the inside out for sure. Take care, G.

That they can. Good to hear from you! Take care, G.

Many years ago my dad's car wouldn't brake properly on the rear. We spent hours checking the lines, changing cylinders, that axle load dependent adjuster, the lot. Brake fluid flowed out the bleeding port just fine, but it just wouldn't work. In the end one mechanic told him to replace the last piece of rubber brake line we hadn't changed, despite the fact that we had looked right through the short piece of hose with no obstruction. He was right, there was a sort of flap inside that only came up under pressure and blocked off the line. You'd have to try quite hard to build something like that, but I guess it was a one in a million chance...

I coil my hoses the same way you do and hang them on a hook by my compressor. I have one of the black Diablo Air hoses have had it a little over a year and so far so good no complaints. I tried one of there orange pvc hoses several years ago biggest mistake i made. LOL very difficult to work with in warm or cold wanted to curl up and kink all the time replaced it after a few months have it hanging on the wall for an emergency. Good review I was wondering about the pvc rubber combo hoses is you automatic rewind hose reel from HF if so has it held up well I'M looking at gettying for the shop pretty soon. Good to see another video from you. Have a great weekend. God Bless!!!

Good to hear you like the black hose. I personally don't like pvc hoses but do like these hybrids. No, my reel came from Lowes or HD. They had some crazy sale years ago for $30 or so. The hose it came with lasted a few yrs. before it was replaced. It is identical to the HF 50' reel though. I wouldn't hesitate to get one with knowing you will need to replace the hose fairly quick. The black hose would be a good replacement. Take care, G.

I was thinking about getting one of the harbor freight polyurethane air hoses or the hybrid so the timing for your video is perfect. Good to see you back online.

I don't have any experience with their poly hoses, but do like these. Good to hear from you! Take care, G.
