    Hello Geoffrey, happy to see you did the fork swap! I think you'll really like it, definitely the best upgrade I've done to the Ranger! I need to do the rotor tweeking to my bike this morning too, might put on a new set of pads at the same time.
    Love your work space.... beautiful! Cheers

    What did you squirt on the wheel locking screws - lock tight?

    Nice video Geoffrey, I will also do this upgrade, do you also know how to remove the speed limitation on the bike?

    • @geoffcarol1
      @geoffcarol1  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good morning. Thank you for the nice comment and also for watching the video. To remove the speed restriction, you remove the pedal box cover and look inside for the red wire. The red wire has a connector on it. Pull apart the connector and then just push the wires back into the pedal box. You need to then go into the screen settings and turn the power up to 100%. And that is all there is to it.

    Hi Geoffrey great video, where did you get the Torque settings for the fork clamps. Thanks in advance.

    • @geoffcarol1
      @geoffcarol1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Andy. I sort of guessed. When I undid them, they where tight. I set my bike torque wrench to the maximum it goes to which is 14. I do have bigger torque wrenches but didn’t want to strip anything. I thought it would be tight at 14 whilst I researched further. Hope this helps.

    Hi Geoffrey, how are you finding these after a few months of use?

    • @geoffcarol1
      @geoffcarol1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mark. I haven't been out on mike bike in weeks as I have been on with other things. The times I used the bike I did notice a difference over the original shocks and it was for the better. I do think it is a worthwhile upgrade and I am pleased that I did it. I do need to get out again but I dont seem to have a lot of "play time" at the moment.

    Hi geoff thanks for this video. What psi have you set your shock to ?

    • @geoffcarol1
      @geoffcarol1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Anthony. From memory i am at 125psi. This gave me around 25% sag.

      Hi Andrew. I do use a bike carrier. This is the one I use. It is a really good item. www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel4_tab.php/car-specific-accessories/buzz_rack_e_scorpion_1_bike_folding_rack_no_brp611/Qx%40w%2C6M42VAwp3%40Rb%7B~cC4ure_LYk8

    How's rhe new air shocks working out

    • @geoffcarol1
      @geoffcarol1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Really pleased so far. I set my sag and then I have been playing with the rebound and compression. This I need to keep playing with as one minute it seems really good and then next its a bit "stiff". I doubt it's the shock but more down to me. The shocks are definitely smoother and easier on the arms than the spring shocks. I have noticed a difference which I am still hoping to improve upon. In my opinion it has been a worthwhile upgrade that was not expensive. I would definitely do it again if I had too.

    Hi, every review ive seen for the ranger says it comes with air forks as standard, is this not the case? Also supposed to have an air rear shock.

    • @geoffcarol1
      @geoffcarol1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Morning. The front is a spring and the rear is air. I have seen that a few times too.

    Do they by air forks for a kommoda and would you know what psi I should have in my tyres

    • @geoffcarol1
      @geoffcarol1  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not sure on the size of your forks but there are various supplies of replacement forks. I am not sure on your Commode as your tyres are a lot smaller than mine as I have the Ranger. As I read in mixed terrain, I have 15psi in the front and 18psi in the back. I ride on the beach, roads and forestry as well as farm tracks and I am happy with those tyre pressures.

      @@laptop597 just looking at the sticker and it does not say a maximum weight. It gives guidance on air pressure for different weights. I weigh more than the figures given.

    Morning Geoff, Tom from Colorado he’s great!
    Be interested to see if it makes much difference with the air shock
    I’m sure you’ll put up another video when it stops raining 😂
    I was very interested in the ramp you’ve made it looks like you have
    4 axle stands/ plywood and a ramp you wheel the bike up, I couldn’t quite
    See in the video what material the ramp was? You secured the bike to a beam!
    I want to build a ramp for my ranger to work on it too
    Great video Geoff lots of info if you’ve got any tips on building a ramp
    It would be much appreciated cheers 🍺🍺

      Morning John. Thanks for the comment. The work platform is brilliant and I use it way more that I ever expected. I am busy over the next couple of days but I will make a video for you explaining what I did and the reasons why.
