When I create custom missions, I usually put the "invisible shadow" item into my inventory and use it, so I can check all enemy patrol routes easily. It's more comfortable that way.
A character is confined to a single building unit. The game gives either one of the two options (depending on the unit): 1. There's only one spot on the unit where the character will stand still for the entire mission. 2. The editor will show you a predetermined path inside the unit which the character will walk on back and forth. You can't change the path and the path itself is quite small. Also the path is predictable which makes enemy encounters too easy.

Thank you yet again
Still I can't get enemies to patrol in two or three-leveled fortresses....:(
hey just wondering, how is the normal patrol route inside buildings units?
