Thank you for publishing this article, I live with psoriatic arthritis and have some form of tendon inflammation.Enthesitis seems to tick the boxes, I live in the west of Ireland and can’t get a proper diagnosis.

I was prescribed Methotrexate from day 1 of my diagnosis and had to do pulmonary function test for years because of scarring on the lungs. They also gave me prednisone to help with the breathing issues I was having from the scarred lungs and my hair was slowly falling out. I took prednisone from 1991-2007? along with 800 mg of Ibuprofen. It had ruined my adrenal glands and made my eyes super dry. One day one of my doctors saw me and said to stop the methotrexate immediately and wean myself off of the prednisone. She found out the methotrexate was scarring my lungs. After a few more pulmonary function test and some raw garlic my breathing improved and so did my circulation and the scarring on my lungs were gone. That was my experience with it.

I'm so sorry when I hear of patient deterioration by poor health care. I'm afraid it happens much too often. So glad you were lead into the path of a good and caring doctor. I'm getting ready for the MRI which I expect will put me in the dx of SpA but
I will be very selective with the drugs I accept for treatment. Difficult and complicated situation to be in. Must always pray for pathway guidance. :^) Blessings, p
