This episode is when we first get to see Chadano. There will be several more moments throughout the series where Tadano is being an absolute Chad. The ice park scene was just the first of many moments to come.

Alright, here comes Naruse. Imma be honest, the moment I saw him in the intro first episode, I did not look forward to his debut. Narcissists in anime for me are not it. However, he redeemed himself for the antics he got into just like everyone else. You guys'll love him.
Naruse's interactions with Ase are what won me over.
I liked Naruse-kun a lot and he isn't really a bad person from the start, even though he is indeed narcissistic. Typical a narcissist only thinks of himself and lower other's confidence/selfworth. But in Naruse's case, he does think of himself often, but he never belittles anyone, sometimes sharing his confidence and self-worth to others.
I immediately started liking him when I saw him wave goodbye to Tadano in the outro. I guess since he willingly sad bye to him, he couldn't seem that bad, and I was right

Growing up my mum would also tell me to drink Ginger tea or Ginger Beer when I was sick. It has been so hammered into me that when my friends get sick my first response would be to tell them "drink some ginger" 🤣
Season 1 and 2 cover the 1st year of highschool. In the manga the 2nd year is quite a few chapters longer so it may be 2-3 seasons long. They are currently in the final year of high school in the manga.

Social anxiety disorders can make it uncomfortable to speak to anyone, no matter how well they know them or how much they care. It can be painfully hard, literally so. The fact that Komi speaks as much as she does to Tadano speaks volumes of how much she likes him.
Tadano has a different problem. He sees himself as average, boring and generally unlikeable. It is hard for him to see anyone liking him, especially someone like Komi (who is gorgeous and popular). So while he can read Komi better than even her parents, he is blind to her affection toward him.

I don’t know if you can catch it, but whenever Katai has internal monologue regarding Tadano, he sounds gay. In addition, you can see his body language is very girly like when they were in the skating rink. But… I think that’s all for comedic effect. I think he really just appreciates that Tadano befriended him and can understand him.
