    The Google Pxiel and Pixel 6 have had quite a few issues lately and Google started trying to fix it, and made it even worse, causing many people serious connection issues, and connectivity problems with their Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. We're still waiting for the Pixel 6 Update that is suppsoed to fix it all, and in the meantime many people's Pixel 6s are having to deal with the issues. Well, this is a fix for the Pixel 6 connectivity issues that I think might help people. Try this Pixel 6 update to the Google Carrier Services by following my instructions and hopefully it will fix your Pixel 6 connectivity problems.

    I love how ppl are trying to find fixes for this issue that shouldn't have been a issue in the first place, and yet Google are doing anything.

      Nothing is flawless it will get resolved soon!🙂 I haven't gotten the new update yet but if I'm having issues I know it's a work in progress

    Thanks to this channel..From Toronto and faced the wifi connection issues after the security update this morning . My TH-cam search on the fix took me to your channel and the wifi issues are now fixed after enrolling into the Beta program . Kudos to you and keep posting more useful information like this one!!     I just tried it now today, did the carrier services route, resetted phone, turned on use sim and it started working again. Thanks a bunch for this!

    I know this is a year later, but clearing cache of my Carrier Service resolved my connection issue where the PC doesn't recognize my Pixel. I have been banging my head on this for a couple of days, reinstalling driver, flipping debug mode and whatever else I found online. They didn't work, but your suggestion did! Thank you so much for sharing this solution. My search-fu must suck because I have not even seen a hint of clearing cache from Carrier Service until I saw your video.

    A year later and my 6 pro has been giving this same problem. I tried everything under the sun before finding this video. I wish I tried this before I did a factor reset because for now it has fixed my problem. Thanks for the help.

    first option worked for me after I had severe connectivity issues incl. dropped calls and wifi calls not possible. However, I had to clear cache, then uninstall the app, reinstall and then I could join beta test. it really worked. so far all 10 calls today, incoming and outgoing, were wifi calls and no call, dropped. Thank you so much

      What type of connectivity problems were you having? Was it WiFi or call dropping or Mobil data or all of the above? I am having some SERIOUS issues with the mobile data connection. It's plain laughable at this point. Anywhere I go in town if I try to use data, it can barely even open a basic webpage without buffering for at least 2 minutes. It's infuriating. I disabled the 5g and enabled LTE. It helped a little but it's still down right horrible. Everything else seems to be working fine. I can make calls and text and receive texts without an issue. This would of been a deal breaker for me had I know about this before buying this pixel 6. Can u please let me know if it helped ur data signal strength doing the beta thing. Thanks

      I thought I had fixed it, but it only improved slightly. I cannot recommend this phone to anyone. There's no point of having such great software when the phone cant perform basic tasks such as easily making and receiving telephone calls, seamlessly switching between mobile data and wifi etc/
      Unless you always use your phone in Airplane mode, this phone will cause you a headache.

      @@Zubair00001 damn, that really sucks man. I definitely feel where u are coming from. It's such a disappointment. I really like the phone, but that is such a major flaw and huge problem. The battery life seems really weak too. Even when turning down screen brightness a lot. I've turned off basically everything u can turn off short of making the phone useless and it still seems to have poor life. But I did turn off the Google messages permission to the camera app because I don't ever use the camera when sending a text. I just take a picture and then attach it. It seems like it helped little bit. It's not draining as fast. I don't really know what's normal battery loss throughout the day anyway. I charged my phone to 100% 2pm and now it's at 83% at midnight. And that's using the phone very sparingly. It's basically been in my pocket all day at work. Is 17% battery loss in 10 hours normal?

      @@excuse.me.sir. that was similar battery life to what I was getting. The battery drain during standby mode/ when you’re not actually using the phone is pretty poor. But that’s with most phones, other than iPhones.

    I was about to install the google connection app when i realized my time and date were wrong on my phone. I fixed them using auto update via a cell connection and it fixed my wifi internet communications problem. Thanks anyway..

    I had the Pixel 6 Pro. I could not make a phone call without the call dropping. I tried everything including a factory reset. Same issue. I returned it. Best Buy couldn't get me a replacement. I have one on orderer from Google. Hopefully I will not have the same problem. Besides for that I loved the phone.

    No didn't work, couldn't join the beta club , cleared the cache and forced stopped the carrier service, and restarted the phone ,no luck! Doing this from Ireland, hopefully google will fix this soon

    Beta was closed a number of days ago when I tried. I did read elsewhere about the battery usage of 'mobile network standby' being high. Mine checked just now is 41% . I'm guessing most if not all others having connection issues have same. What % is it for phone without problems? Appreciate this guy genuine helpfulness

      I’m not sure about the percentage of people actually experiencing issues. I do get a lot of comments from people who are having issues though, so I don’t believe it’s a very small sample size.

      Mine for the last 24 hours is 9%, I'm still waiting for the update. The only connectivity issue I'm experiencing is switching from wifi calling back to data connection. I often must reboot to re establish a connection. Hoping the update will help. I'm not going to sideload, hoping they fix the bugs and release a good update in January.

      Mine was great pre December update, wish I hadn't clicked. I'm in UK. Pre update I had 5G download speeds average 300-400Mbps, max was over 600Mbps. It was consistently good. I still get 5G sometimes and the speed is ok. Just drops a lot down to H, H+ or E & 2Mbps often. Calls drop out on every call. As it was great, I'm sure it can be resolved, Google haven't dealt with customers very good though, it's my first pixel phone and I am shocked how bad an update made it so bad.

    The Carrier Beta was a solution (for the handful of people that received it in the U.S) However, Google has closed enrollment into their beta service (for now)

    I didn't have a problem with Bluetooth, but the app that connects to my car wasn't connecting, even though the car was connected and phone calling worked.
    I thought the problem was with the car, so I took it to the dealer a couple of times and all was done about it, but no fix.
    Also, all was done in regards to app and phone settings.... No fix.
    Thanks again, and you also improved my knowledge in troubleshooting.

      Sorry. I have had some people report that it had at least boosted signal strength. Maybe if not connection reliability, at least.m a stronger signal

      @@TechOdyssey I just purchased a pixel 6 pro and for some reason, even tho all of my contacts are there, when I get calls from my contacts, there is no caller id when the phone rings. I came from a galaxy phone so I am not too familiar with pixel. Do I have to download something to get caller identification? It just bothers me when the phone starts ringing and it always states private name/private number.
      Can you help me please?!

    The December update seems to have disappeared, so the wife’s 6 doesn’t have any issues but it’s nice to see a tech channel doing more than just reviewing stuff.

    I'm in the UK too like many other replies, I got the Dec patch and since then I have no or limited phone signal
    I signed up for the beta whilst it was still open, tried it, and made no difference whatsoever. Reading thru the pixel forums it does seem to have helped, but not fixed, signal issues for some US pixel owners. But not for the rest of us who only started having issues after the Dec patch was installed

    If people factory reset their phone...98% of the bugs would be gone. I would know that's what I decided to do. Device has been flawless.

      @@djpywell Did you set it up as a new device when factory resetting? Because if you transfer from an old device the problems and bugs may still persist

      @@TrueRay17 I have done a network reset, full factory reset (as a new device), installed the beta software, swapped out with a known working SIM, placed the original SIM in a known working phone (issue wasn't SIM) but still no luck. This is on both my pixel 6 and pixel 6 pro phone. Google's support has done nothing. I understand why people pay more for Apple now.

      You can't just factory reset a phone every time it not behaves. It's a long process installing and logging into accounts, apps, activating banks etc. Go to the root of the problem first. If people just used their googlephone for Google it would be so much better 😂😂

    I have done everything for my network to work and it won't even T-mobil didn't know how to fix the connection situation and iam so great full for this video bc I finally can use my phone and send text or call I couldn't do any of that for two months and used warranty to change for new pixel 6a and the new one they send didn't work so bc of this video I am having no problems with it iam so exidid Thank you so so much for your help ! It really helped and I didn't had to download the app it was already on the phone !

    I've been having trouble with the camera and Bluetooth. The camera sometimes doesn't let me take horizontal video or pictures even if i have auto rotation on, my Bluetooth turns on randomly.

    I've been having problems since I got my Pixel 6 Pro. I recently saw the article about the beta carrier services and decided to try it. But not before trying other things. It seemed to be working but for me I have to set my connection to LTE only since if I have 5G preferred I will lose connection during the day. Where I live I sometimes switch between LTE and 5G. Other things I had disabled was anything to do with adaptive options. This was done from before the carrier services beta. I figured since things are working well for now I'll leave them disabled until the big update.

    Not sure when exactly I i started getting this issue, but all of a student my Wi-Fi is constantly dropping and reconnecting. Sometimes ten times within a minute, others it will only disconnect after half an hour. Currently completely up to date with Android 14, and I've pretty much tried every single "fix" that's been recommended, nothing is fixing it and this phone is the only device that's having this connection issue.

    *Update* It worked for 6hrs and it's just dropped again. Maybe its not happening as much but it still showed no connection with the ! Symbol. * Don't want to jinx myself BUT it seems to be working. After doing everything even a factory reset, the phone hasnt dropped connection in the last 2 hrs. Holding my breath to see if this lasts. Fingers crossed. Been having this issue since I got the phone. Did everything bar clearing the cache part. Seems to be better so far. Thankyou for this video.

    I own 6pro and live in the UK. I always had a weak signal in my house but could manage to make calls. Since the December update installed I lost the signal completely.
    I tried the both way You recommend but unfortunately neither worked...

    This happened to my LG Velvet too, it got Android 11 on November 22 and ever since that happened I was not able to make calls or send texts, it said No Network Signal, but mobile data works fine.

    Got update & enrolled in Google Carrier Services BETA.
    Went to my pixel 6 settings then Apps. Google Carrier Services isn't there, checked, & rechecked with no search option. However the GOOGLE app on the app list says: opened in last 16 minutes. There is also a Google Connectivity app on the list. Can u advise please? 🥺

    Thanks for this but i installed this beta over a week ago and still having issues ,have covid ,called my mum Xmas day as can't see her and connection dropped ,really pissed me off ,I'll be selling this for an iPhone if it's not sorted by end of January ,too many issues .
    They have the best phone out there right now ruined by software bugs.

    Going back to my old pixel phone (which was/is a dream to use). Pixel 6 is too buggy and the internet problem is a deal breaker for me. I only hope I can re-sale it since I bought it from Sprint and am now with T-Mobile. Worst purchase I've ever made!

    The link you added leads to Google Play Services, not carrier.
    Downloading random old and new vesrions of carrier services doesn't change anything unfortunately.
    My pixel also has weird UI issues, it's a buggy mess honestly.

    I haven't received an update since November 6th I have a standard pixel 6 128 GB and I'm on T-Mobile I keep constantly trying to refresh for an update and it's keep saying that I'm up to date

    My wife had the "app" already installed on her cell phone, so I hit "update" on her phone and right now she is looking at a youtube video. Before that, eiler today and until we updated the app youtube was not working tonight. So your cure indeed is effective. Thanks TechOdy...-Peter and Juliana
    P.s. Her cell phone is still very slow now. Earlier today the speed was normal.

    Ok! I was able to find the updated Google Carrier Services app. in my phone's settings under "apps". Force stopped & cleared storage & cach restarted my pixel 6. 🙏🏻 DID NOT WORK. Thanks much all the same.

    I had TMobile and just switched to Verizon after having connectivity problems. Silly me, I assumed it would not be the brand new Pixel's fault. So far so good with Verizon. We shall see...C'mon Google! You're better than this...

    My Phillips headphones were working for 4 months, suddenly they won't pair. Any ideas? I've searched TH-cam, deleted the cache, tried the developer gabel fix...no luck. I did get it to pair once, and it said "Couldn't pair due to pin". Sounds like there's a problem with my Pixel 6 not recognizing I'm logged in?

    My son uses a pixel 6 on the UK MVNO mobile network ID Mobile and has no issues at all! Great battery life and good signal. ID Mobile use the three network to provide their services. I wonder if the signal issues are only an issue on certain networks? See the same complaints with Samsung phones too.

      This is not a network related issue, if you read the pixel forums and issuetracker, users on all networks are having the same problems. Like your son's my pixel 6 was great OK signal and v good battery life. That was until the Dec patch installed I now get zero signal in most places, and battery life is cut in half.

      @@sharramik I didn't say it was a network issue! But some have signal issues and some don't... There has to be a reason for that? The Pixel 6 series use the same chip as the Samsung S21 series and for some reason that chip works ok for some and not for others! Why? There has to be a cause!? Is it that the chip has issues with certain SIM cards? Certain frequencies? I don't know but it would be beneficial if those that did have network issues provided more information than "I have signal issues".

      @@WelshPaul Hi Paul, i think the Pixel 6 issues are mainly because some (unlucky) people received the december patch update (like i did) , and many other devices haven't received it due to the way Google phase the rollout (and it seems no one is getting it at all now due to these issues) That's why i think some are affected and others are not. My phone worked perfectly before the update, and now it doesn't afterwards (on the same network, in the same location).
      Also people who have manually downgraded their phones back to the pre-update build version report that their phones are now working 'normally' again.
      (PS you said 'I wonder if the signal issues are only an issue on certain networks'...thats why i thought you might be suggesting a network related issue ;-) apologies if i misinterpreted the comment )

    I've had 3 different pixels bricked through the years after a update. The other day the "security" update bricked my phone. what a trash phone. 3rd time's a charm I'm going to apple as much as i hate it, it lasts.

    Pixel 6 connection issues can not be fixed ever. I've tried everything possible with no luck. I'm on best network in UK and signal is rubbish nearly all the time. I'm so annoyed with it I decided to get the pixel 8, I hope it hasn't got the same issue as I haven't set it up yet. If it has I'll send it back and not buy another pixel😢

    I have downgraded my pixel 6 from android 14 beta 1 to android 13 public stable version. i am in china. The google services are blocked here. i tried to connect with wifi and sim internet data but failed. unfortunately the offline setup phone option is also missing here. what should I do. it is my main devices.

    I just purchased a pixel 6 from marketplace... reasonable price. But the issue of wifi connection was not disclose by tge seller... been whole day im trying to search a solution, but not successful.

    I bought a Pixel 6 in November. It continued to drop the Bluetooth connection to my Toyota Highlander. Spent many hours on the phone with Google Fi and the Google store where I got it. Call did not drop the Bluetooth dropped. I have a Pixel 4 5G and no problems. I returned it for a refund. I waited a couple of months and just got another one last Thursday. I love the phone but not being able to use it in the car is a non starter. I have the latest 004 update, I have reset the WI_FI and Bluetooth and reinstalled it in my car. Still dropped a call in under 4 minutes. Is there any hope or do I just send it back like the last one?

    LG V60 has the same issue with connectivity. It's a carrier specific issue. If you have a phone that is unlocked but not tied to a specific carrier, you don't have these issues. I have a VZ LG V60 and I cannot keep a connection. It has to do with some type of interference with the Wi-Fi on the phone, or something like that. My brother has the same phone but his is just an unlocked phone and he doesn't have issues. Unfortunately for me, I have no recourse. I just bought this phone (a month ago) but now I have to buy a new phone because LG left us high and dry! 🙄

    Wow, i got mine the day before Christmas and i LOVE it!! I've never once setup a new phone with so little effort, it basically set itself up, I've no complaints whatsoever, it's super fast and intuitive, it's easily my favourite phone ever, everything just works as is out of the box, this is rare for me, but I'm giving it 10/10

    Pixel 6 - Loaded the Beta version of Carrier Services, don't have the December update, but still have the problem. My problem is almost daily, if my Pixel 6 switches from WiFi to cell service, my phone will show cell service active, but I don't have any data connection. I can most of the time, turn SIM off then on in settings and data service (LTE or 5G) will work. Sometimes it does require a phone restart...

      Have you tried seeing what happens if you leave wifi off completely and only use LTE?

      @@TechOdyssey I haven't yet, but I'm using Google Fi and I don't have the choice of turning 5G off (at least that I have found). In the area by my home, I only get 5G. I have noticed the same problem with LTE when I'm in an area a couple miles from my home. The area isn't covered with 5G yet so I always connect to LTE. When I'm in that area, my phone will automatically connect to Spectrum WiFi and when the WiFi gets weak, Fi will switch to cellular if it's a stronger signal. About half the time, the switchover will be successful and I will connect to LTE. The other times Fi will switch and the phone will show 4 to 5 bar cell signal strength, but LTE won't connect. Switch the SIM off and back on and LTE will connect.
      I"ve also read that some people found the turning Airplane mode on and then off sometimes fixed their problem (temporarily) too. I haven't tried that yet...

      @@TechOdyssey I just discovered something today. I found out my Adaptive Connectivity setting was on ( had been set off previously), so I turned it off again. So far today I have not had any connection problems going from WiFi to 5G 5o LTE and back to WiFi!! Maybe, hopefully, it has fixed or at least reduced the problems with my Pixel 6's connections.

    I have a question though, how come to have so many issues when a friend of mine with the same exact phone and the same build number didn't have any issue and even have 5g which it isn't supported? Also it seems that google belives that my device is defective, should I change it even now that it works? Thanks for help

      @@TechOdyssey well it worked yesterday today it stopped again, it loses connectivity while i am moving it seems. Maybe my device is just defective like google says, thanks again for the help, at least i know there isn't anything else i can try (at least now I can make phone calls when I am not moving so that's something)

    I've did a few days ago this , network search on manual, Carrier services beta , battery adaptive charge off, all this made battery live much better , if I unplug in the morning till evening I have 40% left and overnight is consuming 3-4%

    I think it all boils down to a crappy modem. I tried turning on!off adaptive activity. I bought a phone which can't make phone calls properly. I still don't know why we call these things phones and not tracking devices.

    I have an international, unlocked version of this phone (no CDMA) I live in Indonesia but bought it while visiting the USA. It worked flawlessly on t-Mobile. But here in Indonesia, I can't read the sim. I also brought an older iPhone and it reads the sim fine. This is a shot in the dark... anyone have any ideas?

    just recently got a pixel 6 as my second phone. LITERALLY cannot download ANY apps. it just shows pending infinetly. on data and on wifi - no change. factory reset phone multiple times, cleared play store cache multiple times...nothing helps...going to return the phone. big let down since i had a pixel 3a xl and loved it.

    Unrelated to the video...but do you know how I can get my email to stop forwarding to the Gmail app on the pixel? I downloaded a different email app and now my email appears in the Gmail app and in the other email app. I even deleted my email from the Gmail app. I hope all that makes sense.
