I get past Krang no problem. Bit super Shredder fire always hits me messing it up for me. Hopefully this helps.

I beat it after my second. First I didn't even attempt. I just let him attack to study his patterns
This is deceptively easy.
1. make sure you have three power-bars from the Krang fight right before this.
2. always stay in a corner to avoid SS's close-range attacks.
3. double-jump to the corner directly above/below you as soon as SS teleports next to you so he can't grab or charge you.
4. after he finishes fire-dashing, he will do the fire nova. Go to the nearest corner and jump to avoid them. Don't double-jump during this or you'll likelly land on the fire nova.
5. the first time he crumples and is vulnerable, perform a super-attack from the air (jump and then activate it). It's the quickest super-attack with best after-positioning. Do this three times and then get out.
6. when SS crumples afterwards, charge your super while he's doing his green shield move. Then attack him with the air super-attack and get away right away (to avoid damage from his wake-up attack).
7. keep repeating steps #2-3
8. when he summons his clones, take your time to destroy them but keep a good pace. You get a decent amount of time to get rid of them before they respawn.
Keep repeating this and you'll get it eventually. It took me an hour of trying before getting it (and some RNG luck).
For me I got it by Raph easily. His taunt is fast and his power is the highest but he lacks range of course but it didn't matter. What I did I used two special powers on him on air once he's vulnerable and then run immediately to avoid his shadow attack. You can use this video strategy to run from the flames and it's better to keep on jumping just in case. Hope it helps and sorry for my English.
I did it with Raph over a year ago too. Thank goodness I was able to get this done before they changed the taunt thing, where you could no longer simply re-fill your power meter by taunting three times too! L.O.L.!
Interesting! Staying on the same line as him is a fantastic technique because it reliably avoids damage but unlike jumping it gives you a chance to Taunt to get Specials back.
Yes, when I learned this technique it was a gamechanger for me.
Thanks for the tip. I was going for the challenges on hard difficulty. The technique of staying in the same line is great. It takes practice to use it effectively, but it works. I did it with Raphael, due to the fact he causes more damage. In hard difficulty, you want to finish this fight as soon as possible. Raphael, on radical mode, two complete combos, takes more or less the same amount of health you take in the video with one aerial special + combo.
After a long time trying, I finally did it. Now I have done all stage challenges on hard!

This trophy. THIS. Trophy broke me. I've beaten Cupheads Platinum, beaten the Dice King and Devil with no hit and S rank on Expert, I'm a huge fan of the Soulsgames and played and platinumed them all. I have tried this goddamn fucking level for SIX. SIX hours now and I still cannot fucking not- get hit by this godfucking boss. I am tired. I am frustrated. And I just don't know what to do anymore. Anything you do, I've tried. I've tried luring him into corners, doesn't work eventually I will get hit. I've tried this parallel positioning technique but I STILL always do not quite position myself correctly and get hurt. I hate his patterns. I hate his movements. I hate this randomness in where he wants to go with his dash. I hate the hitboxes because I've LITERARILY had moments where I for some reason did not get damaged by attacks that clearly hit me, and in the same time got damaged by positions where I stood before.
I never had any trophy that I need to give up. But god damn I just wasted half of a day on this shit. I just cannot stand myself at this moment and I want my six hours of my life back.
You can literally just join someone's game in progress. I didn't hit him one time, I just kept joining on the map until I got a team about to kill him.
I understand you. The location close to the bus only works occasionally. And to perform the technique proposed here correctly, you have to line up perfectly about 7 times. Perfect almost to the pixel.
I tried jumping through the fire, but it's even worse. First, the fire hitbox has a height, so you get hit on a bad landing. Secondly, if I moved the direction too much, the character would automatically slide into fire after landing. This makes jumping an even worse technique.
It's just hopelessly designed. This fire should have a shadow showing the hitbox on the ground. It is not here, and in addition, the two frames of the flame animation are close and above the ground, which is additionally confusing, because the fire creates the illusion of going up and down while the hitbox stays in the same place all the time.
I can beat the first part of the fight 100% and dodge any other attack with no problem, but he always hits me with those damn rings of fire sooner or later.
@@radek4634 yeah....i managed to beat him. At 10 past 23 p.m. SEVEN HOURS. SEVEN hours for this trivial god damn trophy. At the end I just felt disgusted and/or nothing. I discovered that i can get 4 Times the damage if i use the drop-down special attack out of the air (X+ triangle), but god dammit I nearly lost my sanity in anotherwise amazing game...
@@Quasimofo23 ...you did not quite read my comment , did you? The issue was not BEATING him. The issue was to not GET hit. Makes 0 difference how many people are in your Party. Shredder will still attack you. Funny thing was that I got The first Phase of Lady of war so down that I at some point stopped looking at the screen during the fight and still managed to get through it without taking damage. But Shredder just Hit me always at some point due to imo horrible hitbox-logic
@@richardfreutel5002 did you read mine? I'm telling you I got the trophy for "no damage during the fight with super shredder" by joining a match in progress. It took about three attempts of quitting and rejoining to get the timing right, but I definitely works. Literally 5 minutes, pretty sure you wasted your time, but oh well at least you're done, congrats 👏

I did with Raphael after maybe 100 tries. The staying in the same line as him didn't work for me for some reason, but the super-attack from air realy helped. Thanks for the video.

My strategy is going with Splinter (on easy difficulty)
It is crucial to start the battle with 3 special meters.
Super Shredder may seem chaotic but his patterns are actually simple:
You time his vanish attack and double jump vertically to the other side, always wait him to go poof first.
You don't have to panic when he does his flame dash attack, stay in some corner and just jump only if he comes right at you.
When he tosses flames everywhere just time your jumps (don't double jump). It may take some practice.
When he becomes vulnerable start with an air special followed by a 4attack combo, and another 3attacks. This will take around 25% of his HP. Notice that he won't take damage before his knee touches the ground so don't be hasty.The second time he becomes vulnerable do the same but also go for a second 4 attack combo, he doesn't counter.
By that point he summons those 4 things in the corners and his HP is 50%. Hit one corner as fast as it appears and walk down the same side to hit the other. Roll through the projectile and hit the opposite corner. The tricky part is to avoid getting hit while you approach the last one. You can double jump and attack but sometimes it's pure luck to get it before it hits you.
Shredder gets vulnerable and once again you start with an air special followed by as many attacks possible. It's crucial that the 4th hit connects as it does a lot of damage.
If you do this right Shredder will get below 25% HP and will get vulnerable again. All those attacks have got you an extra special so you do the air attack followed by the combo and it's over!

@@FRIONELPESSINI even if you get a hit, continue the battle to gain some muscle memory and experience and quit before you beat him. After 20 tries you should be able to tell his moves easily. By the time you do it once, you should be able to do it twice or thrice in a row.

I did this with Raph, who's the strongest fighter over a year ago. Thank goodness you were able to re-fill your power meter by simply taunting three times back then, which you can sadly do no more though! L.O.L.!

I joined a session at 95 % and the trophy popped without even selecting a character. This only worked on PS5, though.

use the stop button and check where I'm standing while Shredder is standing as same lane
I keep getting caught when Super Shedder disappears. I do a single jump, but somehow he still ends up grading me. Dodging doesn't seem to work, as he grabs you in the direction you dodge. Is there a specific timing that needs to be used, so you don't get grabbed?
I tried to stay on the left (or right) side and mainly in the corners. When he teleports I jumped up or down. Never left or right. You can also see this in the video. Hope it helps.
Well, I'm not having the best of luck trying to beat krang in the Statue of Liberty and super shredder because I keep on getting killed
I'm playing it on PS4 on Chill difficulty and Shredder is much faster. I don't know why. Is it just me?
The update for the ps4/5 made Shredder much harder even on the lowest difficulty. The version in this video doesn't even need a walkthough, the new version none of the cheesing works.

Same here. It literally doesn't matter what I do he either runs right at me or I get hit by a lingering flame that shouldn't be there.. It was easier getting both Unravel platinum's than this fight no damage. It's ruining the fun honestly. In fact I am done... Peace

So stay to edge where hits don’t effect u.
I’m staying on the edge for when he dashes over the level. When he casts his flames standing on the edge also helps, but it’s more important to get on the same line as Super Shredder so you have an opening between the flames.
You make it look so easy lol
It might take some practice but if you follow my guide it's actually not that hard.

I tried to stand in a corner and jump up or down when he comes my way. However they might have updated the boss fight by now and made it more difficult.

Thank you! I’m glad to hear you liked my video. I’m currently looking into farming points for the characters. Replaying episode 1 or episode 5 with a second controller on stand by for more enemies seems the best way to go.
and set the game to CHILL mode IE EASY difficulty ONLY if its NOT already that way the enemies will eventually ALL DIE in 1 hit.
But yes MOST NO damage trophies are exactly that not being hit even once for the ENTIRE lv including its boss fights Story MODE only.
The Arcade mode just plays like the arcade games from 1991 to 1995 ie no trophies gained at all and you can't ACTUALLY save the game so Arcade mode requires to do ALL 16 stages in a SINGLE run with only a few lives and a LIMITED amount of continues though the Konami Code MAY still work in ARCADE mode to boost your lives total from 1 to 9.
I think level 5, sewers. There are a lot of these little Mausers out there that are easy to beat. Additionally, large mausers create small ones, they can be farmed, but it's better to start the level from the beginning. And there are fewer other opponents who are usually harder to defeat.

It takes some practice to figure it out. In the beginning I was standing too low.

You get the trophy only not getting hit by Super Shredder. does not have to be the entire level.

To do the Who Needs A Dock Trophy as shown in this video. I recommend you do it alone.
Is Donnie the best to use for this boss or is this entirely preference based? I might try Michelangelo or Raphael
Donatello has a long range, which is great for the Statue of Tyranny. However he doesn’t have the highest power (most damage), which is probably best for defeating Super Shredder as soon as possible.
I found April is pretty quick and can do a lot of damage just by being fast

Today I beat Super Shredder without any hit. Got the challenge accomplished but no achievement. Does anyone know a possible reason?
By achievement you mean the unharmed challenge? If so I can only assume you already had the trophy.
@@evandroa4845 No, I meant Steam achievment "Who needs a dock?" It's very similar but I figured out that it's accomplished a little differently. For the challenge you gotta clear both Krang and Shredder without any damage. But for the achievment you only have to defeat Shredder without being hit including his non damaging attack. When he performs a grab out of the teleportation but if you're airborne at this moment you just get knocked back without taking damage instead of getting grabbed.
@@BikerLobster Now I understand what you meant. If it wasn't a bug, then you probably took a hit without noticing. Or, like I said before, you already had the achievement

You asked for possible reasons why you didn't get the achievement after beating him without taking damage and I just gave three POSSIBLE reasons: 1- Bug; 2 - You did actually take damage but didn't notice; 3 - You already had the achievement without realizing. But I just read your first comment again and you said you got the unharmed challenge, so it cant be reason number 2.
Does it count if your team mate get hit and you don't.
Your teammates aren’t allowed to get hit either.
