I love seeing How yoU have grown over the past 2 years I’ve been watching you! You were my biggest middle school inspiration! Heading into high school now, and am happy to saw you are still with me! Thank you for your videos 💜
sometimes i cant believe that i've been following you since 2015! and truth be told, i didn't even notice it when your videos actually became a part of my saturday routine in the last two years or so :,) it's so cool seeing you come up with new inspirations and ideas on your artistic journey and try out all these new mediums, thank you for sharing that with us 💖 p. s. your animals in sweatshirts always turn out so darn cute!!! they're like little plushies!!
Hey Rin, I’m a potter so I LOVED this video. Ok so I throw pots on a wheel and sculpt with clay that’s fired in a kiln, but I still use sculpey for making mock-ups of larger sculptures. The tools you’re using are called ‘loops’. I use them to create texture on my pots surface. But they are also used exactly how you’re using them. I use the silicon-ended shaping tools as well because they are fabulous! You did an incredible job!! Absolutely wonderful 🎨💜🐾🥰
Thanks for inspiring me, Rin! You inspired me to draw more, number my sketchbooks, and have fun with my art! Thanks for always putting a smile on my face :) keep up the outstanding work!!❤️
eee numbering your sketchbooks. hehe i remember when I first started that. its really handy keeping them in order and tracking progress. Happy for you!
Yesssss the continuation of the bunnies in sweatshirts series! I can’t wait to see you sculpt; I bought some clay and don’t know what to do with it, so this came at the perfect time. Can’t wait to see it 💜
I probably would have lightly sanded it before painting it, so that it took the paint better, but overall you did really well. I think it’s absolutely adorable and I loved watching you create it. I’m going to make my fiancé watch this to convince him to sculpt with me, so thank you for that as well. I recently found your channel and have been practically bingeing your content. I’m really glad I found your channel, it’s help inspire me to get back into drawing and other similar arts, so thank you for being great and having such fun content! 💗🧚🏼☺️
one of my favorite things on your channel is how you explore with different mediums :]] certainly makes me want to get out of my comfort zone myself lol
Work in layers and bake in between to avoid it getting smooshed. Then, to get it smooth, you sand it (unless you like it not entirely smooth). I would also do the paint in thin coats. I learned this the hard way on a couple of my sculptures. Hope this helps! I enjoyed this video. 9:57 Oh no. Reminded me of the time my roommate sliced his arm cutting toward himself. At least you aren't holding the project in the air like he was lmao (it was also cardboard which requires more power so you see how that went south).
Your voice is so soothing I fell asleep while watching the video...AT 4 PM!! Woke up near the end of the video because I moved during my sleep and felt something soft near my arm and it was my cat curled up next to me 😅😹
I love sculpting! I've been working on my own polymer clay project recently, its so satisfying to make something recognizable from nothing. A tip; you can bake multiple times! Like saving your progress on a digital work, you can bake the project partway through and keep sculpting on top :)
oh Rin why are you so amazing?!!!! You always have so many adorable creative and fun ideas. Your process of making art is just *chefs kiss* , never stop. 💜
Hi!!! You asked if we liked this kind of art video??? Well let me tell you what I think of it… IT WAS TOTALLY AWESOME!!! You are so talented and one of the things that I appreciate of you is how you let us see all the steps you go through no matter if you have to redo the steps more than once. I really really appreciate your honesty and your giggles when you describe your process. I am learning how to draw and sometimes I get so frustrated with myself when I can’t achieve something even after multiple tries. But as soon as I listen to one of your videos I get out my sketchbook and start drawing again just for fun. You put me in such a good mood, which means less pressure and this translates to usually me being able to draw what seams impossible the last time I tried. So thank you for being so transparent and showing us that even if you are an artist you struggle to sometimes. You are the best!!!
As someone who watches doll makers (HeXtain) and an artist who tries everything (Jazza) having layers is important. Jazza makes the wired sculpture completely then adds the layer of foil to get the shapes right. With HeXtian, he layers, dries, layers the pieces to get them as perfect as human can do. I noticed he also uses gloves and water to along the way to help smooth and keep fingerprints off. Hope some of that helps whenever you do your next sculpture. From what I can see this was so well done and I think using the knife made it more like a wood craving. This also just fit with the aesthetic you drew on the sweater fix even more. Anyways, great video loved the bunny!
“Kill it with 🔥!” 😹😹 I love how you take on all these new art tools. Your sculpture came out so cute. Your dedication to the sweatshirt design deserves all the credit. Drawer becomes a scluptrest.
tip for sculpting with polymer clay, bake as you go, start with armories wire and add a base of tinfoil, add some clay to the tinfoil to bulk it up then bake, bake everytime you add a new detail you don’t want to smush
the thing i love most about you, is that you love to make these unique little intricate designs instead of just using a single color or adding basic lines or dots. you have a thought process to your work and it always turns out to be above our expectations. ❤️
Wow I’ve never been this early! I just want to thank you for inspiring me to draw! I’ve never really considered myself a creative person until when I started drawing it was like I discovered a part of myself I never knew I had Point is, you’re changing peoples lives and you honestly deserve so much credit for all the things you’ve done for the TH-cam community 💜
Emma!! I'm so happy to hear that. You have no idea. I feel the same way about art, and i can feel it missing when I havne't drawn in a while. I really hope its something that can continue to bring you that joy for the rest of your life. 💜💜💜💜
The bunnnyyyyy!!!! 😍😍🤩🤩 I just can't!! And the sweatshirt! It looked like something my mom would knit! Beautiful!! I loved this so much! There may come a day when Rin will cease to amaze and entertain us... but that is NOT THIS DAY!! (If anyone doesn't know, that line "there may come a day when..." came from The Lord of the Rings. No, Rin will never cease to bring joy to our "humdrum lives" [from Singing in the Rain]). 😆😁💙💙 To any who reads this... have an awesome weekend!!
This was so fun. And the bunny looks really cute. The design on the t shirt makes it look kind of like an icelandic sweater. As for the little beany things on the paws. If you really wanted to, you could just get a bit of air dry clay and add them with that. But make sure he is able to stand up still. And as for having to redo the detailing. Well, I am not an expert sculptor myself either. But I build my sculpture from inside out in the order of the force required. I does make it hard to remember what is where. But the mental exercise of planning where things go and how saves a ton of time for me. Its kind of like prepping and planning for cooking. Like if you plan it, you make it in an hour. If you dont you could be making the same thing in 3. Detailng and stuff I dont even do till the end. Also it helps that I pick a chonky place and make sure that no matter what I am doing I mainly hold the sculpture from there so I am not smooshing everything. And its very hard to do sometimes lol. But I really liked the whole thing. I did like the way you made the hood. Only I would have liked you to make a few folds before you joined them in the hood shape because clay wont make that. But I thought that was really cool. I like hearing waffles' thought process when she does things. It always makes me wanna try new things out. I never drew human characters, only landscapes, still life, animals etc and watching waffles draw all these characters made me try them out.
This video made me so inspired to grab my clay and sculpt something, so thank you so much for that! (seriously i have bee stuck in creators block for SO LONG)
like, WHY are you so perfect as human being and artist? YOU are my role model... THANK YOU for posting the content you do; it literally heals my soul watching your videos! Keep up the hard work!!
I loved the little bunny. To help with the problem of squishing what you have recently done you can work in layers and pre backe the piece and then ad new clay with more details on top. So that you can't squish what you have previously build. If you want a fluffy tail you can make a slightly smaller ball of clay and then glue some cotton on it :)
Really digging the sculpting. Baked sculpey clay sticks to itself well where you can sculpt > bake > sculpt > bake as long as the layers are not too thick. Excited to see what you do next. Bunny came out really cute!
This was so fun to watch! I can't believe how much time and effort you put into this... I mean I can believe it because it's you and you always put a lot of time and effort into your videos, but still. The hood part especially impressed me! I wouldn't be able to do any of that, but the hood I *definitely* wouldn't be able to do. Haha.
I still cant believe I have been following you for 2 years now! I got inspired from you to sketch drawings and use your sketching designs as my own! Keep up the outstanding drawings waffles! Thank you so much!
Like some have already said, baking in layers is perfect! You could also use a heat gun to help areas you like harden enough to not get smooshed but not fully cure so you don't risk burning any parts from baking it too much.
I have ALL the supplies to make something like this but none of the creativity I always get obsessed with a hobby and buy all the materials and then my brain just moves on to something else 😭
He’s so cute! This is really nice to see, as someone who wants to get into sculpting, it helped me think carefully about whether I want to dive into it or not because I had blindly been obsessed, somehow assuming I would make Ace of Clay level sculpts just by having the supplies. But you can still produce very cute stuff and it’s still fun, and the techniques and skills come with practise. Also made me realise that I don’t need a pasta press or anything that special, just a roller will do the job. Because it looked like you were having so much fun though, I think I’ll give it a shot because it looks so interesting and fun to do!
Quite some Talent you got there! Imagine the struggle between sculpting and waiting for the paint to be dry. Must took a HUGE chunk of patience for this to work. Love it!😍
I've been watching since 2016 when I was in the 6th grade and now I've just graduated highschool and I'm going into college. no matter how scared I was today at my orientation I knew I'd come home and watch one of your videos to comfort myself❤❤
He's so cuuuuuute!! He turned out beautiful, thank you for sharing this sculpting adventure with us 😍 (If you don't mind random comment advising about sculpture stuff: I can rec 'North of the border', he does a lot of cool sculpture stuff, including suuuper small (I'm always amazed) and he tends to make the wire longer than just the sculpture so he can clamp it between two pieces of wood and hold the wood instead of risking smooshing already finished clay) I hope there'll be more sculpture adventures in the future!
This looks so good! Very cute! Every time I see someone sculpting I wanna do it too, but I feel very intimidated by it, however you made it look a lot less intimidating! Thank you
That so cute 🥰 I have been watching your videos for a few years, and I wanted to say that your videos are what got me back into art. I hadn’t drawn for years and they encouraged me to draw again and since then I have created so much and figured out my style and what I love to do
Your parents must be so proud of you. Over 2 millions of subscribers and now you start sculpting! I love the "animals in sweatshirt" series so much and I'm looking forward to see more 🐰
also, random storytime, but: it's almost one year ago now that I was really struggling with my mental health. I posted about it in one of your comment sections and you encouraged me to keep going. I will be turning 17 in a week (which is something last year-me would have never thought I would). It's been a rough year, my hair fell out in chunks because of my ed back then, I've been hospitalized, went to a clinic where I stayed for half a year, moved out of home and moved back in within two months.. watching your videos doesn't just inspire my artistic side, it also reminds me that I did it! I can eat, my hands are soft (my OCD got them as rough as sandpaper), I'm actually sitting in my room right now with the curtains all wide open! and I'm so glad to be here. thank you for being my reminder that it will be worth it
As someone who sculpts you did amazing job, also I am definitely using you trick for making hoods lol, is genuis! A tip for the future though is if you are happy with the shape you can bake it and then add more details without smashing the previous work and bake it again. I have baked complicated sculptures 5 or 6 times as I add details and it doesn't hurt them.
This is the CUTEST thing! I have never wanted a hoodie more than I want a Polish plate inspired hoodie right now, and I literally just made a 'No More Hoodies' resolution.
what a cute little sculpture! He looks so bundled up and comfy. I think were were perfectly fine in forgetting the paw pads (Lagomomorph Leporidae don't actually have them). This turned out incredibly adorable. Love the design you went with for the sweater.
I love all the things you do, and I’m especially obsessed with your recent obsession of animals in sweatshirts. Your videos are a highlight of my weeks! ❤️ Thank you for sharing all of the art processes with us as you do! I’m technically a professional artist and even I’m nervous about showing my art as WIPs! But I absolutely have to know - where is your marker holder from?!
I'm new to sculpting myself. I bought the nerdecrafter kit and I was intimidated by clay at first but then i worked with it and it came out amazing. I love your cute lil bunn bun 🐇 i wanna make a lil animal in a hoodie now. 🧥
Wow I'm so happy to see you work with clay again, somewhere along the years I lost the hope you'd ever make a follow-up video but this was so exciting to see! Maybe we'll even see you sew someday! 💜💜💜
It is so difficult to do sculptures like Anthony, Ace of Clay does he makes it look so easy! but having a drawn concept was such a good idea Well done Rin! I have only done a few sculptures and I believe you have got the basic ideas and you just gotta keep going and you ended up with a wonderful piece! I will say you can bake this clay more than once! Some work in stages and bake after each section. So you could still add the beans on the bottom if you take off the paint! Just for next time! Wonderful Video and Bunny Rin!
A couple tips I’d recommend from doing ceramics and watching a lot of polymer clay artists: for polymer clay you can still add on after you’ve baked it and can bake it more than once so once you’re happy with a section you can bake it so you don’t accidentally mush it. Also for clothes if you take a thin sheet of clay and blend in the part that isn’t the edge of the fabric you get really nice clothing. Overall I think you did a really great job especially since it’s only your second time!
This bunny is the cutest bunny art I think I’ve ever seen omg plz put him somewhere really nice we’re people can appreciate your work and his beauty ❤️❤️❤️
This was so nice to watch. I had so much fun. Thank you so much for sharing this with us! It's adorable and you did an amazing job. All you videos make me just want to grab my stuff and start creating new things. You're such a happy ray of inspiration for me.
EVEN MORE ANIMALS IN SWEATSHIRTS!!!!! :D I’ve never tried sculpting but this might be a sign to try! Thx for the new spark of inspo, Rin :) (I also love your nails! :> )
Omg. I don’t know how to describe my intense happiness that I’m feeling right now but this is sooo cuteee🥰🥰 You’re literally so talented and deserve everything you have accomplished rn! Keep it up❤️
If you have a part that you like that you don’t want to be ruined, you can bake as you go. Use liquid clay to attach more clay and bake again when you finish another part. It makes them harder and then you don’t have to worry about having to redo parts you’ve already done because they’re done and hardened ❤️
So darn cute, " kill it with fire" had me cackling omg 😂
That IS very funny lol 😂 also, I’m subbed to you too; hi 👋☺️
I’m also subbed :)

Because it looked like you were having so much fun though, I think I’ll give it a shot because it looks so interesting and fun to do!
Quite some Talent you got there! Imagine the struggle between sculpting and waiting for the paint to be dry. Must took a HUGE chunk of patience for this to work. Love it!😍
The designs in the bunny sweater are so nice and cute !!! Spring bonnie is cute!!!!!!
I've been watching since 2016 when I was in the 6th grade and now I've just graduated highschool and I'm going into college. no matter how scared I was today at my orientation I knew I'd come home and watch one of your videos to comfort myself❤❤
Absolutely, by far, the funniest video you've done. I giggled the entire way through. Thanks. I look forward to every Saturday.
you inspire me so much ! def one of my fav utubers :))))
He's so cuuuuuute!! He turned out beautiful, thank you for sharing this sculpting adventure with us 😍
(If you don't mind random comment advising about sculpture stuff: I can rec 'North of the border', he does a lot of cool sculpture stuff, including suuuper small (I'm always amazed) and he tends to make the wire longer than just the sculpture so he can clamp it between two pieces of wood and hold the wood instead of risking smooshing already finished clay)
I hope there'll be more sculpture adventures in the future!
what a lovely sculpture!!! this makes me wanna get into it omg…
The cutest bunny ever!!!
This looks so good! Very cute! Every time I see someone sculpting I wanna do it too, but I feel very intimidated by it, however you made it look a lot less intimidating! Thank you
Oh he's so cute! Between you and all of PearFluer's sculpting videos, it's making me really inspired to try some sculpting projects!
He's amazing! You did such an awesome job!! I have been OBSESSED with bunnies lately, so thank you for feeding my obsession 😁💗🐇
You took me off guard with the Bolesławiec-inspired hoodie! And all the mentions of Polish pottery overall :D The bunny turned out so great!
I love the "animals in sweatshirt" series so much and I'm looking forward to see more 🐰
So seriously cute!!!
it turned out so good🤩
Wow. He is sooo cute oh my gosh!! You did so well with him!! And the design on the hoodie is just ADORABLE!
also, random storytime, but:
it's almost one year ago now that I was really struggling with my mental health.
I have baked complicated sculptures 5 or 6 times as I add details and it doesn't hurt them.
rin drawing and making animals in sweatshirts >>>>
forever.
This is the CUTEST thing! I have never wanted a hoodie more than I want a Polish plate inspired hoodie right now, and I literally just made a 'No More Hoodies' resolution.
Oh my gosh! This is so adorable and creative! You are such a huge inspiration to me and my art channel!!! Keep up the awesome work!!! 💕
The best part of my weekend is cleaning my room and then I go relax and see your videos
what a cute little sculpture! He looks so bundled up and comfy. I think were were perfectly fine in forgetting the paw pads (Lagomomorph Leporidae don't actually have them). This turned out incredibly adorable. Love the design you went with for the sweater.
ADORBS!!! That sweatshirt is gorgeous!
I absolutely love your art. I think you should do more of sculpting things you're pretty good at it!
he is so precious!!!!
I wonder what Ace of Clay would think about this sculpting process. Bun Bun is soo cute
I love your videos I look forward to them🥰I binge watch them sometimes 😂
Keep it up❤️
I'm so glad to hear that! I can feel the emotions coming through this comment. thank you for sharing that with me! 💜💜
@@drawingwiffwaffles you’re welcome! Thanks for responding this is the first time someone actually responds to me so tysm!
I woke up this morning with the rest of the weekend off work. And when I woke up there you were. And waking up like that makes me really happy. :)
Ownnn he's so cuteee! The process was also really fun to watch, that smile with a bunch of teeth was so crazy 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have waited so long for another sculptor thank you so much for this ❤️❤️❤️
me too, me too. hehe enjoy!
@@drawingwiffwaffles believe me I will haha 😂
If you have a part that you like that you don’t want to be ruined, you can bake as you go. Use liquid clay to attach more clay and bake again when you finish another part. It makes them harder and then you don’t have to worry about having to redo parts you’ve already done because they’re done and hardened ❤️
