It is so weird that last night I had Love Song stuck in my head for no apparent reason, but actually going over the lyrics in my head trying to imagine the exact circumstance that prompts a person to write those lyrics, the oxymoronic defiance of it then today this clip comes on... and doesn't explain it.
so the basics of WHY love song was wrote pretty much goes like this: sara had just been signed to a major record label and they wanted her to churn out the same typical blueprinted pop songs that everyone was doing, but she kept wanting to write her OWN stuff and wanted something that felt like her. they kept pushing her to write a radio-friendly hit and in an act of defiance, she wrote love song as basically a middle finger to her record label. the irony is that it became her first MAJOR hit and put her on the map. she wrote a new york times bestselling book, called "Sounds Like Me: My Life So Far (in Song)" and there's a whole chapter where she gets into all the nitty gritty details of it.

Touchy feely thing?I'm not understanding your question and thought. No hate or disrespectful. Drew is just one of those ppl, as I am. My parents always hugged and kissed me and lots of cuddles. I have been very blessed and now able to pass that onto my son who I adopted last October. It's not for everyone. It's a way to show and receive love. I hope you have experienced some of that. Sending you lots of love 💕

I think for a lot of us Drew's behavior (her tone and word choice, the touchy feely stuff) just comes of as fake and sappy...like she's performing like a caricature of an unfiltered hippy cult member, or something. I'm glad it resonates with people, because I'm sure Drew really is that kind of person, but it's perfectly acceptable for you and I to be put off by it
