2024 KTM 500 EXC-F FMF INSTALL AND SOUND CONPARISON VS STOCK

join me in installing a new fmf 4.1 on the 2024 ktm 500 exc-f all new bike lets see if the bike will run without putting on a ecu or DE smog kit and with the reeds still in the bike for a test ride ?

i cant find anywhere this FMF for exc 2024 - its always written sx-f 450 - is it the same ?

Sounds awesome. I'm thinking about one for mine but not sure if it's going to be annoying loud. Did the stock pipe have a removable cat in the header end of it? Dealers toss them out before delivery for us.

The stock muffler has two unique upstructions in it one is a Dimond shape at the beginning of it and the end cap is shut with a screen and a spark arrestor I didn't see anything else but I'll go investigate tomorrow .

Take the spark arrestor out also if there is one in the FMF. Will sound even better

FMF looks nice! I imagine it's the 20-23 muffler, did it fit good without any adjustment?

no issues with stock but it is corked up you need a end cap and rip out the other inner cat ! the FMF fit like perfectly.

@SC-ui8dh in the stock exhaust inside the muffler it has a Dimond shaped piece of metal that needs to be knocked out. Good luck 👍

How’s the low end torque vs the stock?

@fattie2550 with the Ecu and exhaust a lot more just knowing I don't need the reeds in the airbox for it to run now is a huge piece of what makes the bike better just running the exhaust not much but it does sound ok but without the other mods it backfires and most likely will burn up your exhaust valves. So you need the reeds out and smog delete and an ecu .
