Hiya folks. For those who’ve been asking, here’s a collection of the Nightsong tracks I used in the Night Warrior Movie along with the thumbnail art. Again, it’s basically a slightly slower/pitched version but I found it works better as a battle theme. Not much difference. Enjoy!
Fun Fact from Neal Acree (composer): “Funny thing about Nightsong. When I wrote it, I was convinced that its song-like structure made it wrong for WoW in-game music and almost didn't submit it. Same thing with the song version of Anduin’s Theme.” (Old archived Twitter post).
Just think, 2 of the greatest soundtracks behind Invincible almost didn’t make it in-game :O

Yeah I never liked Anduin's theme to be honest. There is always something that felt wrong about it. Night Elf theme is amazing tho.
It would have been sad to not have that theme in game. The first time I heard it en route to Astranaar, it gave me chills. One of my top five pieces of music from the WoW score.

Thank you, appreciate the comments folks. I've personally loved this one since it debuted in Cataclysm, but it's rarely been used aside from the past Ysera cinematic. I'd love to see more iterations of it in the future.

I liked that cinematic, especially the part where Tyrande just throws an orc's severed fucking head into the moonwell.

I seriously can't wait to see Tyranda kicking ass again she is one of the most powerful core Warcraft Hero's out there and it will be good to see her show she is just that.
Well it depends how far the writers are willing to take the Night Elves, I'm hoping we'll see more development past 8.1
@@Athelarius I think that this might happen. Considering the facts that Tyrande has some new powers and she isn't present on a warfront itself. Little hope here.
We'll see her do that again in Reforged. They confirmed that they will add extra stuff to the campaigns

This was by far my biggest disappointment with this xpac. The night elves and worgen DESERVE their vengeance. How in the actual fuck are they gonna push Jaina as a warbringer then tone her back while having Genn damn near ready to take on Sylvannas by himself just for a chance to rip her throat out the entire expansion while also having the race which consists of mostly 10,000 year old perfect warriors take on a slant of complete vengeance and expect them to just forget it after one indecisive battle. It just all amounted to nothing! Like Tyrande is RIGHT to be as pissed as she is. So is every god damn one of the night elves - how is that not immediately the issue? I really don't understand how they just get nothing at all.
Also... why the hell didn't any of the Tauren speak out to stop this - they literally aided in burning and blighting the land that they WORSHIP.

I was thinking of creating a night elf hunter and get a pet that can stealth... Just so i can stalk people in stealth mode in WORLD PvP and make my pet attack them before i come out of stealth and finish the job! >:3

I agree, this along with Anduin's theme are two of my favorite tracks right behind Invincible. And according to Neal Acree's old post, he mentions how the 2 songs practically wrote themselves. That's the best part about them.
It seems that I will be returning to game for 8.1
Even if my heart will be once again broken I cannot sit idle while night elves are recieving some (in my humble opinion) good development.
Your slower version of a drum part is definetly better as a battle theme. Thank you for that.

@@MrVlad12340 You voiced my nightmares, but honestly I doubt that. Now even more. There is a cutscene with Tyrande declaring victory over the Horde. But this cutscene isn't playing after Tyrande Ascension questline or Darkshore Warfront victory. So there is something not avaliable to us I guess.
By good development I meant their more W3 attitude. The night elves now are closest to their original state in entire history of WoW what pleased me for once.
@@MrVlad12340 I am worried as much as you about Sylvanas. Like, we killed bosses for less before. I will not stand her redemption or something like that. It will be simply bad, hellishly bad. But even if they have plans to kill her, they would never say it in public.
I don't know what will happen to Kalimdor. I can only hope, but at least there is a reason to hope that "red kalimdor" will not come to pass.
I will be honest with you. I don't really like the main plot of this expansion.
Faction war is forced, especially after Legion. Suddenly the Horde is a bunch of murderous, brainwashed hobos and the Alliance is pathetic and weak.
But I just can't help that I am somehow glad about this development of the night elves. If you are right (I hope not) then this is the right time to enjoy before Blizzard will turn everything into Sylvanas shitshow again.
I believe Blizzard is paying a price for antagonizing Horde/Alliance playerbase. We were "susceptible" to that before. After the Legion I was so glad to see the playerbase in greatest harmony ever. But we all know what happened next. Blizzard sown the wind and now is reaping the whirlwind.
Sławek Jasel yes. Legion brought harmony finally, lore forums were actually LORE discussions and not a whinefest/dick measuring contest/shameless trolling and gloating over other’s misfortune. And Sylvanas lives thats a given. But i wander what will Alliance gain from this expansion? We are routed , beaten and ruined on every turn and whats then? We go to fight Old Gods or Void Lords aaand... and what? Sylvanas, real problem, will remain. No closure for suffering will be given, no restoration, no amends. Horde will be either given a “clean pass” with Saurfang or “Kerrigan route” with Sylvanas. I am tired of Horde being Scourge 2.0 and Alliance being weak and limp. Its stupid as it is, plus since Alliance has no OP racials most players pick it for lore/style so anything that harms lore will hurt Alliance the most. Thats horrible... and all because Blizz wanted some cheap hype.
@@MrVlad12340 Well, hopefully Warcraft 3 Reforged will be released before BfA ends. I don't know your tastes, but I am in love with Warcraft franchise and I absolutely love RTS. That is also why I can't just stop caring about Warcraft. But with W3 Reforged I will be able to stay in touch with the franchise without getting involved in WoW.

The first 35sec or so look really good in black and white. Also the lighten up ver. of NE's face has different atmosphere which i really like
Honestly, it was one of those things where you tamper with different settings and it looks really weird but pretty good to the eye, so meh it works!

The way Nightsong is slowed down (??) in the beginning makes it sound more grieving, and even aggressive. Fits the Night Elves perfectly after Teldrassil!

Athelarius,bro,i want to express my grattitude to u for these insightfull and lore-following trailers and fun videos u made.I am Horde in my heart,but i also started as Alliance long ago.And i adore this last video,specially because i consider the lore part from Legion,Ysera's death in Val'sharrah one of the saddest trailers ever made by Blizz. I am vs. Sylvanas,coz she idd,as both Saurfang and Anduind said,"Led the Horde to a place without honor". I trully hoped that after what happened on the Broken Shore and King's heroic death,there will be cooperation and peace ,least for a time.It proved to be just my wish though.Great work again,stay vigilant.All the best bro.
Thank you, I appreciate the kind words. This theme appeared long ago in Cataclysm but was almost never used until the Ysera & Darkshore Cinematic. I think it's because they didn't consider it much of a battle theme, but if used right it fits in decently. I'm also waiting for the faction conflict to end so we can turn our attention towards real threats. There's more to be gained from cooperation than forced war.

I hope that at some point in this expansion they will remake the themes of night elves from warcraft 3, it would be great, those themes deserve some love

Both as a person and in the role of a tauren (I am a roleplayer), I feel deeply connected to the night elves, can understand their pain and I hope and hope that night elves and tauren will continue to be friends to rescue Azeroth from those who want to harm this world.
As a Night Elven druid roleplayer myself, and as someone who fell in love with the Night Elves and their lore so many years ago, I hope so too. (Btw, Tauren roleplayers are some of the chillest and nicest people I've met.)

It's actuallly lore-canon that tauren and night elves are freinds. Even in war against alliance and horde, they'll spare each other and wont attack on sight.
I joined the game during Shadowlands, so I had to search for Battle of Azeroth stuff and one of the htings that made choose the Night Elves as my race was Tyrande and the Night Warrior.

Too bad she had to lose her beautiful sapphire eyes to become a griefing mortal.
I think instead of solid black eyes they could have gone for a more silver tint to the eyes, but I'm sure its mostly for in-game reasons as new customization options.
