Apparently, regarding storing magazines with ammo in them, it doesn't wear on the spring. What causes the spring to wear is constant compression and decompression. A fully loaded magazine and an unloaded magazine with have the same lifespan. If not extremely similar.
Yeah, the issue with storing loaded mags isnt with the spring, it's the feed lips. They can bend out of spec and cause issues. How you get the death jam in an M16 usually.
The gun will serve mainly as a portfolio piece. It's a post-86 machine gun; he has his SOT, so he can certainly build and shoot machine guns as dealer samples, but it's not registered and not transferable, so unfortunately, none of us can buy it. _However,_ his primary business is building and selling hand-fitted and custom AKs, so I can almost guarantee you that if someone asked for their own and put up the cash for it (especially if they offered up their own parts kit or another rifle to modify), they could make a semi-auto only clone. The hardest part would be the drum, since as far as I know, no one is making a current production PPSh drum.
Most of these issues go away when throwing enough money at them. Brandon said in another video they would not build other versions of it. I beg to differ. If some person would walk up to him and offer him a huge amount of cash (like 100k or more) I am quite certain he would build another of these things

If you do plan on looking for land to by I recommend Tennessee, personally I enjoy west Tennessee but east Tennessee usually has pretty cheap land for about 10-20 k for unused land of about 5-15 acres. I think most people would enjoy living here, no offense to Texas but I think to many people have moved there the last 2 years

If the mag isn't full, the firearm isn't ready for defense. That's not a safety stickler thing, it's being over judgmental. If nobody who shouldn't access the gun can't it's fine. Mine are all loaded because I don't like being caught with my pants down. If you disagree, that's all good but don't lie and call it unsafe as a blanket statement.

Since it is a new build, yeah it can only be sold to police agencies and such, so no real cash value... but it is like the high end wood shown on the other company's site. The fact is he made it, and as such, his other weapons are likely to function as well.
One, Brandon hates bullpups. Two, he has a license for class 3 items. Three, I think there's some audio problems with the video or is that just because of copyright?
There is software that would allow you to run simulations to get the stresses imparted on specific parts. However I don't know how common it is in the firearms industry to use these simulation.
On the full magazine, are airsoft mags compatible with their real steel equivalents? Because a lot of airsoft mags where the body is translucent, they have fake ammo inside.
Bit late but if they've got the same standard cutouts and such, I'd assume they'd just go right in (assuming no clearance issues with the bits specific to an airsoft mag.)

Alot of custom orders on top of merch every one of those sponsors handing him a few grand for a multiple hundred thousand veiw video most of his cost is covered by that if not just by the commission of the gun it's self making his main cost paying his small team and keeping the lights on which again every video is making him a couple grand in sponsor cash multiple vids a week most of them just reviewing gun memes cursed guns and gun news such as atf stories and 2nd amendment laws so he's maybe making 2 shit post weapons a month maybe 4 in a busy day his biggest expenses are probably stuff like the brens mp40s his pride first gen ak that cost him a upwards of 10k for historical peaces but you also got to consider $200 in labor for a day and $100 in resources is alot cheaper than buying a full auto ak off the auction and that about the cost of one of his meme guns 300-1k out of pocket to make that back in a single video possibly 2-3 at most depending on how good the sponsors are treating him

It used to be a problem when material sciences wasn’t as good. There is still an issue with Feed lips if you still use pure plastic.
