Great tutorial. Never seen the technique of closing a seam without yarn on hook demonstrated before. Thank you for a lovely clear demonstration. This is likely to be the first thing I try on my new Sentro when it arrives next week. Thank you.
Yay! You’re getting a Sentro! Remember there is a learning curve. Don’t get frustrated. Take your time and follow some of my videos. I’d be happy to help you. 🥰 Be sure and join my FB group is you haven’t already done so. You will find inspiration and encouragement there. 🥰
I can't wait to make these. I never would have thought to deconstruct a striped cake. What a great tip! Now, why do those colors remind me of Baskin-Robbins?
I use a contrasting yarn and weave in and out of the row all the way from bottom to top so that I can clearly see which column I’m supposed to be working on so that the mattress stitch stays straight. Hope this helps someone struggling to keep the seam straight like I use to. Now my seams are straight.
@KC-nb3st Thank you for that tip. I'll definitely try that next time. It will open up so many project possibilities that I skip because of my difficulty with that stitch.
Finally succeeded in making this after 2.5 tries! (my first official project.) Thank you!!
Fantastic! Please post it in my FB group so I can see. 😊
The way you turn the hook to grab the stitches on the end is so useful. I will try this next time. Thanks Shelley🥰. Have a great day.
Thank you! You as well!
Thank you for showing us how to make this mitt. Love the way you do a close-up so we are able to see each stitch. Love your videos Ann
@@annphillips3423 Thank you so much! 😊

Beautiful
Eres genial , gracias.
Your welcome 😊
Great teacher, you go slow then every other video I tried to follow. You gained a follower lol
Thank you so much! ❤️
Very Cool
Thank you 😊
If you did this with the addi 22 needle machine would it be to small for adults?
Yes. But if you did two tubes and seamed them together then folded them over it would work.
You make it so simple, but I have so much trouble doing the mattress stitch. My rows seem to twist no matter how slow and careful I go.🤷
Straighten out the row 5 or 6 stitches at a time. It may help doing smaller sections.
What does “deconstructing the yarn ball” mean? PS… love all your projects and videos!
Ok, I just heard your comment at the end (17:55). I just never thought of cutting the colors apart! 😅🤪

@@pinklady66-30 they would be a small medium. I am posting a new pair soon. Stay tuned!
Is there another way to close it I just can’t get this to work?
I think this is the best way. You can get it. Don’t give up.
How many rows to do the gloves ?
Please watch the video. 😊
Most of the other videos I habe watched do 45 rows :)
