- In this episode we take a close-up look at the #Longines #MoonPhase Calendar #Chronograph, a very good-looking #watch and one of the best presentations of the calendar moonphase chrono at the price.
Beautiful timepiece with a gorgeous blue dial! The movement is not the 7751 anymore but the new and Longines exclusive ETA A08.L91. Of course this movement is based on the 7751 but ETA put in a larger mainspring and revised the whole gear train to get a larger power reserve of 54 hours. And added the column wheel, of course. That‘s a package no other watch manufacturer can offer. Longines financed the development of a whole chronograph movement familiy and has now the exclusive rights to use those movements for their watches. I love the Master Collection (got the Annual Calendar and the Retrograde Moonphase in my collection) but prefer my Conquest Classic Moonphase over this Master Collection Chronograph Moonphase, just because of the lume😉. Thanks again for the great video👍🏻
Really glad you like it!!
Didn't know that the ETA A08.L91 is basically an in-house movement. Longines is stepping up the game recently and offering exceptional movements - Like the L888.
I have a longines hydroconquest as my daily and it is brilliant. Such good quality for the money
Great dial color and very nice look watch , after that video it is on my target , thanks for sharing Alix
I've got this one for sale on Chrono24
Very well spoken. Fantastic voice!
Glad you think so!
This guy is great. Describes everything in detail, great narrative voice, definitely subscribed. Good work my friend…this watch is beautiful btw.
Thanks and welcome!
Just picked up this watch yesterday and I absolutely love it. I think the price is more than fair considering the complications that come with the watch. My only complaint is that the hands almost blend in with the dial, so it's not as easy to read.
That was my problem as well, but it is a beautiful watch.
Very good looking watch and a great review, thank you!
I have the barleycorn face version 40mm, and yet want to buy the blue sunburst as well!
why not?
Longines does it for me, great design, reasonable cost and looks more expensive than it is which is why I have a few and not higher priced watches.
Totally agree they are awesome!
Very beautiful piece and nice video... I held this watch in my hands and it's a truly handsome piece. Longines is one of my favourite brands, they make some of the most beautiful pieces within a normal person's budget. The movement is very nicely finished, too. However, there are two reasons why I didn't buy it: the bezel looks a bit plump and unrefined to me. When I looked from the side, well... It could be more elegantly finished, more refined. Secondly, the hands become invisible from certain angles. With such a busy (beautiful) dial, it's a bit of a problem for me. So the white dial may be a better alternative...
All excellent points. Like i said, the budget shows.
I have the white dial 40mm, 7751 variant. I like it a lot. The dial is very busy and therefore it is not an everyday watch. I rather use more simpler watches, such as the Longines Record.
I really like these. They’re a little too large for my wrist, but they are incredibly stylish. I have the same movement in my 3521.80 Speedmaster.
there is a 40mm version ;)
Very nice looking watch but very busy dial.
Agreed, it could use color and/or lume to separate things.
@@TalkingTimepieces yes exactly
That’s the point. A lot to look at and only the owners would know.
Fantastic Timepiece!!
Indeed!
great looking watch! Can i get it for $2000?
Used, probably. But you'd have 5o be a patient hunter
Surely, on a classic and elegant looking watch like this, a fully polished case is best. I had a 9000 dollar Breitling with a fully polished case too. I don't think it's a question of skimping, but more with in-keeping with the style
Excellent point
When you say its a good deal but not the greatest deal, do you have any examples of watches that you'd say are a better deal than this. Just wondering about other options
I think the Moonphase Calendar from Union Glasshutte or the cool green forestry one from Sinn are better "values" in that they offer more for less. They're spoty, not dressy, though. I wanted a suit watch.
@@TalkingTimepieces thanks, I'll take a look at them
Baume et Mercier is owned by Richemont, not Swatch. Swatch decided to make Omega their premier brand over Longines, primarily because Omega is an easier name to pronounce for non French speakers.
Thanks for the correction!
What is a 24 hour indicator?
In this case it shows a second time zone
As you are running a watch channel, I think it would be important to pronounce the brand name properly. The S at the end of Longines is silent.
Good to know
I'm sorry but aside from it bieng 14mm Thick and like a brick on the wrist because of that Primitive 7750mvmnt, it also looks like a $100 Seiko with the generic case design and Tacky blue dial. I have a longines Chrono Heritage with same mvmnt unfortunately. But at least mine looks like a $3k watch!
This is a replica, this model is not meant to have a micro adjustment
What microadjustment? There is none, it is a double-deployant clasp.
Do you have an email I can reach you at? I have a query regarding your collection.
Sure, I'm smartalix at yahoo dot com
@@TalkingTimepieces thanks. I dropped you a line
'luxury bargain'
I get the irony, but it is a category.
It is pronounced Lonjin
Thanks for the info
