    Hello gal. You're doing a great job. Just a few things to say.
    "Shapanshi" is a term used among kids for king fu fighting in chinese movies. In d song context, the love makes him wanna fight anyone who's against it.
    Also "stunting" in d song is used just like bike stunts, showing off, the love makes me wanna stunt, makes me wanna brag n stuff.
    Keep up the good work !!! Afrobeat to the world !!!

      Hahaha your take on Sha pan shi was funny but you can’t be faulted. For me Shapanshi is referencing the urgh noises the Chinese general make when fighting kung fu, recall Jetli, Jackie Chan in the movies. He is basically saying, this love is making me go nono, ready to tear things, fight anyone for. You will notice in the video, on saying shapanshi, he re-enacting a Kung fu stunt, then next lyric he spoke about the making him Dey stunting. You may not have caught that but boys typically would cos of street plays and all that we mimicked in some form while growing up. But gain you can’t be flawed here cos it is all context. Recall my last comment where I spoke of cageyness in comparing English to Yoruba and of how powerful Yoruba is? Altogether don’t stop. I wanted to do this exact idea once in the past, in general though and not just with the music genre. You are among the only few in this street anc there is greatness to you. Note that I am enroutr surpassinggoogle myself and that is my username across the internet and my world adjisting mission and what you are doing has relevance to that effect and it is of greatness. It is not a coincidence as such how recereshing it is to see you being a true woman, yourself, your nature intact and not generic. It is becoming a growing rarity, so be too lazy to quit. It is disorderly but I will leave it as is that you may dig of my rubble and mine of your human for you possess the powerful human virtues to do just that.

    • @simbihawt
      @simbihawt  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Terry! I always truly appreciate your comments and your support. Also, I enjoy how you always give me your perspective. Like you said before and now, that’s the beauty in Yoruba and translations- it is not cagey. I see exactly what you mean about the kung fu lol and yes being a man you are able to grasp and see it like that better than me. I look forward to more of your comments and your interpretations☺️. Also, what kind of translations did you want to do in the past and is that something you would still consider?

    So does ku lo sa means come closer in what language?

    • @simbihawt
      @simbihawt  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ku lo sa is phonetics…it is saying the word “closer” in an authentic Nigerian accent. So when you say the word in the Nigerian accent, they spelled it how it sounds (for instance, if I want to spell the word water in a British accent I will spell it as “wah ah”)
