Almost August
It’s my birthday in 3 days
The way african lyrics sometimes describe love and dedication is so damn unique. It’s not like playing around with some hoes. It’s the way that a woman gets appreciated for who she is and what she gives.
❤❤❤
You're african right😂
Right!!!
Right, I was telling my friend how I prefer African Music cause their men don't rap about having a throat baby.
Regardless our age, if our catches us disrespecting especially women, it doesn't matter where we are. We're getting slapped, hell our whole community and tribe will descend on us heavily. They respect us, and in return, we protect their image. You'll hardly listen to an African (especially west African song) degrading our women
Is this the rhythm of happiness?! 🙂 Gotta love Afrobeats!
Yes. Yes it is🌈
African men sings so passionately about women and love❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you Oxlade…this song is addicting
Na for real, love instead of calling them hoes in the song
Dang have you heard Ruger???🫢
He ate this song and left no crumbs.👏👏👏👏💙💙💙💙💙
This song almost feels sacred. The sheer simplicity of this video is exactly what the song required. Just the talent, vibration & clarity of this piece makes you either want to cry missing someone or just burst with passion & love.
No extra, no distractions, I love it!
Oh yes I'm aware, was referring to this version of it. I felt this aesthetic suited it better.

@@timiagbaje595 what tribe does reggae come from?🙊
@@vamoneygroup that’s a bit of a weird statement not quite sure what your getting at ,tribes in the African sense are ethnicities so reggae doesn’t come directly from any tribe but cos of the whole slavery bs brothers and sisters are of mixed tribes or ethnicities and reggae is the creation of those brothers and sisters with they African trait along with many other genres in the diaspora

There’s such a thing as too much embellishment in a performance ex. Falsetto, vocal runs and riffs. But I could listen to Oxlade sing falsetto on repeat 1:44. It’s just organic and feels right; his vocal delivery sounds unforced and fresh 😁 Even the voice-layering fits perfectly like a glove in all the right segments! Thank you COLORS for sharing Oxlade with your global audience 🤟🏾🇳🇬
Everything on point 🙌
@@COLORSxSTUDIOS Exactly 👏🏾
@@COLORSxSTUDIOS q
His style of singing sounds like a derivative of Nigerian Fuji and Apala singing.
Also genres full of men singing in falsetto, its a very unique style of singing and apart from afrobeats (who most likely were inspired by), I have heard nothing even vaguely similar.
@@theoriginalduotribal you have an interesting take. I often listen to Qdot and I went back and listened to “Apala New Skool” and some old Apala songs. It’s basic pattern is a back and forth between a lead vocal(ist) and his “follower” responding in harmony. For every bar of lyrics, it starts with the vocalist and then a retort by the followers in unison. I didn’t notice a falsetto per say; maybe a few Apala singers sing that harmonic retort in a lower voice register, but not to the level of a falsetto. Maybe the frequency of the back and forth between the harmonic chorus (Kulosa) and Oxlade singing reminds you of Apala. In general, call-response pattern of singing is found across many sub-Saharan cultures, but Apala is quite interesting because the entire songs seem to be just call-response from the beginning to the end. Can you drop examples of Apala I can checkout?
His voice is absolutely beautiful 🙌🏼
