That 1:58 interaction pissed me off, Super mature of you to not call him out, He had absolutely 0 customer service, god forbid a little kid goes to his store and he acts like that
Hey great video! Smart negotiating and kind demeanour. At around 6:10 that voice is Pack Battle. He grades all his stuff and is quite knowledgeable. Even if you believe vendors don't sell bad stuff, the best ones don't sell raw cards that can hit a 10. Keep that in mind when hunting for raw cards from high-tier vendors.
Dude I would love to see a video on the whole process on how you sell cards online. Like what label printer you use basically a beginners guide on how you do it!
I have been doing buying to slab at conventions for a little over a year now. I will say that while the cards you are purchasing are high quality slabs you need to be prepared for some letdowns from PSA. Grading is subjective and you truly will never be able to tell what a card will grade for. Expect 60% 10s and be prepared for the other 40% to 9. Additionally, while you are inspecting the cards in person fairly thoroughly, you are not using any magnification tool to check the surface of the card. I would invest in a jeweler's loop of 60x (one that has a built in light) magnification to look at all cards that are over $250. A single misplaced pigment, small scratch, or missing texture that is not visible to the naked eye will automatically dock you to a 9 or worse. While the magnification tool may make you feel awkward at first it will save your ass in the long run. It is worth the time.
So I've been doing grading for quite some time also this is more of just personal luck but on average I get a 80% or higher submission return I rarely get 60% 10 rate. Not saying that again this isn't lucky but all of my statistics I genuinely use so when I say things like I estimate I actually mean it based on my own data but grading is extremely subjective so I can see what u mean. Again to reiterate I have seen nothing but good results on these larger submissions but I guess we'll have to see when it comes back.
I csn confidently say that I've been doing it long enough and I trust myself enough and these vendors to not have to thoroughly look through them with let's say a super focused eye.
Hey man nice vid, one tip from me is though to not forget the travel expenses. As in, you wouldn’t have made these costs if it wasn’t for buying the cards. So hotel, flight, cards etc, it will give you a more accurate profit margin. That’s how I do it at least!! :)
well for me i get hotel free do to my milage points with alaska and hotel fees and total cost of event fees i will factor in after i get my submission back so i mean if you wanna get technical yes i could have included it in the video but i chose not to.
I found a similar vendor like the guy at 1:50 when I tried to negotiate he responded with what does the price say in a rude tone like I was trying to steal or do something bad.
yeah some people just have a huge stick up their ass sometimes. I get u pay to be there but like ur never gonna get anywhere with poor customer service skills.
Just wanted to say that I was there and bought cards from the same "NOPE" dude. He did the same thing to me, and it really caught me off guard how rude he was.
I’ve only seen a few of these videos and like them a lot! Yer that 2nd vendor- wtf is with his attitude, why have a chip on your shoulder and have multi cards in the same sleeve, your not overreacting. Subbed 👊🤝
Oh most definitely, these convention lights are made to make things look good under light and not show the imperfections but more times than not it's the trust I have with the vendor to not supply me with bad stuff yk.
For me my store that i send through has a minimum of 20 cards so I would say that if you wanna make a bit of money but if its just for fun send as little as you would like.
Lol that one dude was a complete dick, idc if he had something going on personal life or not. The fact you still almost did business with him is crazy. Glad you walked away. I'd never let anyone disrespect me like that. Like mf you hustle cards to pay your bills. We are not the same. Its a hobby for me to collect. I dont flip. YOU need me to eat. Remember that. Props to you for saying fuck that dude.
lmao the guy @2:34 made it sound like you just completely lowballed him. Some of these vendors don’t understand the concept of “future business”. Now you & others have zero incentive to buy from him
just imo dont put your personal shit into your video with like 'f this guy' ext ext you will make some people walk away from the video :) just keep that in mind bro ;)
hate guys like that, i get not wanting to be lower than your sticker but just be like, "hey sorry can't go lower we're already priced well or something" you coming to NJ? stop by my booth section 53 if you are, i don't pregrade and have lotsa singles
Let me get that vendors name with the toxic tone, so I can avoid him if hes at KC Collect a Con. I really dont want my mood ruined dealing with tool bag vendors like that.
People can have bad days for any number of reason's. At the end of the day they don't owe you anything. That interaction seemed reactive from both end's.
Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with saying “no.” The word “no” means no, and it’s not disrespectful. The fact our society has been indoctrinated to think saying “no” is disrespectful is just woke insanity. You can say “no” without having to explain why and it still be respectful. *what pissed me off is how he handled the card (chucking them on the counter) and having 5 in the same sleeve.* Unless they’re $3-5 holos that are played competitively (ie won’t be binder pieces or graded) then they should be sleeved individual
I appreciate you brother, I really do, thanks for the support man i try to make high quality videos compared to others in the genre so I hope i can stand out.

No I feel you, that's definitely something I keep in mind I get people grade but if it looks good to me it could look bad to someone else ykwim
I swear people like the guy at 2:01 ruin the hobby, that attitude just ruins potential business opportunities. You handled it very well!
As a new shiny cardboard enjoyer and looking to attend some cons, I really respect how you stood on business to some rude people @ 2:34
You handled that perfectly 😅 great move just dipping
Dude I would love to see a video on the whole process on how you sell cards online. Like what label printer you use basically a beginners guide on how you do it!
Good idea man I'll definitely think of something like that

Oh most definitely, these convention lights are made to make things look good under light and not show the imperfections but more times than not it's the trust I have with the vendor to not supply me with bad stuff yk.
When you grade you wait the 45 turnaround or sooner?
I wait it.
@PeacockTCG. oh okay I am doing the samething
In your profit estimate are you accounting for postage + platform fees? Good vid :)
I am
What’s the best amount of cards for sending to PSA. Never done it before and was wondering if the more you send the better?
For me my store that i send through has a minimum of 20 cards so I would say that if you wanna make a bit of money but if its just for fun send as little as you would like.
@@PeacockTCG. Thanks man!
Glad you walked away from, that one guy instead of buying from him.
That vendor def aint getting my money if he treated me like that
