Girl, buckle in. It’s going to be a bumpy ride. Pregnancy brain is a REAL thing. Give yourself some grace and enjoy all of it. Soooooo happy for you and the hubs!
It’s such a blessing to watch a fellow chronic illness warrior get to a point where parenthood is possible. Chronic illness often strips many opportunities away from people and makes you sacrifice things you would’ve done, if you hadn’t been ill. I’m so happy for you 💙
I print out my medical history and medications and take them to any new appointments. When the question comes up, I write, “see attached”. Saves so much time.
Pregnancy brain, it's a real thing. I want to tell you that watching the joy y'all are experiencing has been a blessing. I'm not going to be a buzz kill, just know that your joy can lift others in their time of need, whatever that may be. ❤
Never did I think I would be so invested in someones pregnancy - I am not keen on kids. I've always watched you for your ostomy information but I ended up also following your IUI journey and I was devastated for you. I'm so so invested in this pregnancy for you and will continue to send good vibes into the universe for you.
I know that this comment is not the most important part of the video, but I'm a minute into the video and the orange-y tone of your t-shirt really suits you! You look lovely in so many colours. xx I am also so happy for your journey and so excited whenever there is an update video in my subscriptions box. You deserve so much joy and happiness ♥
I think you are nervous and a little in shock. It's so wonderful to be witnessing this. I know so many people have been praying for you myself included. YAY!!! Continued prayers, Big hugs to you both/three.💕🙏🫂
I know you think you are just bloated but it is all because your body is getting ready for the Baby Marathon. Lots of wonderful things happening to support your body and the baby's growth and health. Thanks for taking us along on yours and Zakes well deserved journey to becoming Mommy and Daddy.
Pumpkins and baby bumps! I love the shirt! Glad you had a positive experience at the OB! I'm still so excited for you both and will continue to be! I think everyone who watches your channel can say the same! This journey is just plain AWESOME! Sending love and good vibes from Ohio to you , Zach, and your precious baby 💗
I just love you Maggie. I just said a prayer for your family. I look forward to seeing your BABY , I just know that everything will be good ! Everyone pray for this wonderful girl.
This is all great news, Maggie. It's fabulous that they are willing to aim for a vaginal birth. I would be concerned if they are not treating you as high risk, though. You should definitely be more closely monitored than low risk women. And should be giving birth in a tertiary hospital with a NICU, just in case there are any complications. I'm sure that those things are already planned, but just wanted to say that! (I'm a researcher in perinatal health, so I worry about the possible complications!)
So happy everything is still all going well and you like your OB. What you're saying about doctor's offices sounds normal. The clinics around me are all about 15 minutes away and the hospitals are about 45 minutes. And sometimes, if you're near delivery and your water breaks or something you just call ahead to the doctor's office but head straight to the hospital - at least that's how I did it. Thanks for showing us all these updates. Love being on the journey with you! 💜
As someone who is currently sitting in the hospital, recovering from Barbie Butt surgery, this video gives me SO much hope. You’ve been monumental in my journey throughout this craziness! Thank you so much for posting and existing sooooo boldly. I don’t think I’d have the confidence I have of it weren’t for your presence. I adore you more than you know ❤
Just about C-sections. I know of three options - scheduled, unscheduled but not emergency or emergency. Even if it isn't scheduled, reaching the decision mid-labor to do it but not out of an emergency (worry for the baby or mom) situation is still MUCH better than an emergency c-section which is done very quickly and efficiently to save life but not necessarily the easiest to recover from. I'm sure you know Hannah Whitton's channel - she had a baby a couple of years ago with an ostomy (but also still with her rectum) and her experience is another to throw into the mix.
I did the NIPT at 10 weeks and got the results back in less than 2 weeks. We did a small reveal with his immediate family. We also did the big 600 carrier test for both of us. That result took longer to come back.
You are exactly ticking along with a normal pregnancy. Mom dumb…it’s a thing that happens to us to prepare for the midnight shift. We are ecstatic for you!,,
Hahahaha had to laugh at you yelling "What" That's what it's like having kids, the second you sit on the loo or talk on the phone someone yells something at you. Having morning sickness means your body is producing all the right hormones to keep baby viable. I only found out gender with baby #3 as we already had a girl and a boy. So glad you found a doctor and a clinic that you feel comfortable with as it makes all the difference.
My sister in law has very bad crohns. She's had 5 children and she always enjoyed her pregnancies because the crohns always went into remission each time. It always came right back once her body went back to normal.
I have had many babies, having vaginal births (with and without medications), an emergency c-section, VBAC. I would think they would rather you have a vaginal birth, as long as no specific complications arose. With an unnecessary scheduled c-section, you would think having had many prior surgeries, lots of scar tissue and a recent surgery would make a c-section less desirable. The main reason OBs push c-section, besides unfortunately financial gain and ensuring they deliver thus are the ones getting paid, is their own comfort level with handling a situation. OBs who would immediately insist on a c-section due to your conditions would be less about medical necessity, and more about their own inexperience and lack of confidence dealing with a patient delivering with an ostomy. If your dr had been that way, you most likely would have gotten a different answer with a more experienced dr. It's wonderful that you found a good doctor first try.
Do sweets like doughnuts aggravate an ostomy? I had a doughnut earlier today for the first time since surgery. It did not agree with me caused gas to the point that I blew a leak had to replace a bag. Odd for something as simple as a curler doughnut. That was messy.
It shouldn’t! A donut is basically just bread and frosting. I know from my experience I can eat the exact same things every single day and every single day my ostomy reacts differently
You may find that you do fine with your crohn’s while you’re pregnant. Everyone is different and even every pregnancy you have is different. I also have crohn’s and back when I started having my children mine was not in a good place. But 2 of the 4 I did great actually it was one of the first time they were able to get me into remission. My second I had iv’s the whole 9 months and my last they took 2 months early because I was so sick. But the other 2 was the best I’d been since being diagnosed. I hope you do great but know if it’s not you can do anything for a few months. Enjoy every minute.
I had a successful vaginal delivery with an ostomy bag! I was so happy to be looked at as relatively "normal" by my OB too. I'm so happy you found a team that you feel comfortable with! I'm excited to cheer you on in your journey to motherhood :) Here is where I recap my birth story: th-cam.com/video/iPNg8IFEiqE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=m0mBRlpKlMiJQMDd
If you go into labor there is always the option to go into the doctor's office and stay overnight nearby if there are questions about how long it might take until you go into serious labor. I had a premie. When that happened I was to hospital right away and she came fast. But my first child took forever and we did not go to the hospital right away. Well, nobody wants to go to the movies and it was too far to go home. The doctor thought I was in labor but not far advanced. So, we rented a hotel room until I was in more active labor, went back to the doctor and eight hours later I was admitted. Another eight hours in the hospital and my little boy was born at midnight on New Year's day. I was happy not to be in the hospital on the maternity ward for 16 hours. I also was happy not to have to go home for a while and have to make another trip to the hospital on New Year's Eve. Since I had the option to do the easy part with privacy near the hospital, but be able to relax inn style we did that and only did the hospital thing when the doctor decided I needed to be speeded up with Pitocin. Shortly thereafter, really shortly, I really went into serious labor and the hospital was the right place to be. It still took 8 hours but that was fine. If you are worried, camp out at a hotel for a day.
They base it off of the first date of my last period (which isn't always perfect as people ovulate at different times). They can't base off the day of ovulation because we don't know it, but it seems the period date is accurate because baby measured right on time with using the period date!
Good to write things down, Maggie you are lovely girl, you are glowing, have you started collecting baby stuff, i did, my mum bought me a pram which i had to push for couple miles, i was 6 weeks pregnant, i enjoyed every minute, like flicking a switch, i even had girls clothes, i just knew, she had lovely hair, called her Alison, as mums fav name, but she married an Allison, so i would be Allison Allison, so i used the name, loved it, put her dads name as second name, Grant, i am his only grand child, i just loved “baby world”
I don’t where your pouch is. But my brothers ex girlfriend gave birth to my nephew naturally despite having a pouch and crohns. It was like almost 11 years ago and he is healthy- I think.
It is! Zak had a beautiful set up years ago with discus, Corey's and a bunch of other fishies! Unfortunately we got a couple discus from a store that apparently had "fish plague" and it wiped out everything, so that's why it looks so sad. We have one tetra and 5-6 shrimp in the 175 gallon tank now 🤣
We have had a fish tank for our entire marriage (46 yrs). Our kids watched the tank all the time and now grandkids spend hours looking at the fish. We have a small betta sorority, guppies, one large female parrot cichlid, Bristlenose pleco and 2 clown Plecos. We also have two small tanks with male bettas and shrimp. As you know watching fish is good for calming! Hang in there you will feel well soon. Been watching and wishing you all the best for a while! The best is yet to come. Our boys are 40 and 45 and granddaughters 6 and 11.

Did you say “her” heartbeat ?! ❤
If i did, it was unintentional as we don't know!
Am I the only one who thought the sound effect of the "pencil writing on the screen" at the beginning, was actually the dogs panting!!! 🤭
Hahaha man maybe I should have used them for that!

Baby Brain, it’s natural.
MAGGOE IT.S CALLED MOM BRAIN
Love it n way u approaching everything. Would u consider waiting to know gender at birth?? xx
If you go into labor there is always the option to go into the doctor's office and stay overnight nearby if there are questions about how long it might take until you go into serious labor.

❤❤❤
Would you consider not finding out the sex of baby before birth? It’s the biggest surprise you ever have, even though there are only two options 😂❤❤❤
This may be a dumb question, but since you didn’t do IVF, how do you know *exactly* how far along your pregnancy is?
You go by the number of days since the day you ovulated. They also go by the development of the fetus.
They base it off of the first date of my last period (which isn't always perfect as people ovulate at different times). They can't base off the day of ovulation because we don't know it, but it seems the period date is accurate because baby measured right on time with using the period date!
NO NO. YES
I think it is the baby. Things are getting pushed inside so it will bcome more obvious. Some people show earlier.
I’m very happy for you! According to your babies heart rate seems like it’s heading toward a baby girl. Wonder if this is going to be true.
Our hospital is an hour away, just don't wait till the contractions are 1-2 minutes apart 😂, just incase. ❤

Typical relationship screaming from other room
☀️🌼
So cool hoping let you have vaginal birth
Pregnancy brain then after you have the baby then you have mom brain for 2 years
You can have up to 3 c-sections so you would be fine
That's a lot of additional scar tissue for someone like me! That's why there is hope to avoid it if possible, plus recovery can be rough!
@LetsTalkIBD I've had 2 c-sections myself but hopefully you can have him/her the natural way they do say it's better
with that heart rate...I am guessing GIRL! :)
I think everyone looses there phone sometimes Maggie...
Watching this Nov 6 do you already know the gender 😃😃😃😃
Baby. Brain.
THST NORMAN
Go Maggie u for this!!!
Why am I thinking a little girl 🩷 😃
Glad you're sick( nausea) It means hormones are up !
