We are lucky to have these guys. The fact they are willing to put their life on the line for a country they were not born in (maybe not all) is admirable. The fact they are such elite soldiers and take it so seriously too. Nothing but respect for the Gurkhas, a real asset to the British Army.
I’ve seen the mountain they run up as part of the entry tests as it’s behind my Gurkha friends house in Pokhara. Terrifying 😂👍 complete nuts, the effort they put in to join is massive. All I had to do when I was 17 was a medical and to sign some paperwork 🙄 wish I had now 😣 I’ve seen them training in groups running through pollution in Kathmandu, they put so much effort in its unreal. And I only saw a little in passing let alone anything East Nepal. Thulo respect Gurkha ko laggi. Tell them all that and they will be happy👍🇳🇵🇬🇧
Some British dnot want to joined in military ..why they are scared and coward to defence your country into Islamic terrorist and criminal…someday if your country faces in trouble …some of people joined in rallies and social media to defence the criminal and terrorist..look the Israeli citizen…male and female ..any religious they are in military to serve and protect the country..
Gurkhas are known throughout the world as the very best. Even if you don't get your preferred track, it's still a great honor to be a part of the Gurkhas.
I am a Tamil from Sri lanka but I am soo proud of my asian Nepalese brothers, The Tigers had to face them in battle and our people have showed mutual respect 🙏🏽 for our Asian Brothers and they Show respect for us.
The process they have to go through to get recruited is tough enough. On top of that for some reason they are expected to achieve more than any others - and they do. I have nothing but admiration for them.
Most of our in country population would do well to adopt some of the Gurkha mentality and pride. These are the finest of the fine, absolute respect for them all.
Their courage and commitment in overcoming so many challenges is worthy of the highest admiration. They are a credit to themselves and their country and we are lucky to see them in the British Army.
It's a honour to be a member, for their families and country. It's a honour to have them in the British army, gentle and polite but warriors when it hits the fan.
I guess it's very different now, but when I served in RAEME here in Oz back in the 1980s and early 90s, our Corps was responsible for the majority of technical trades. I get that a Gurkha regiment needs to be self-sufficient but I assume that trade training for these young soldiers will take place at REME units - at the end of the day, they are soldiers first and tradesmen second. Kudos to the British Armed Forces for realizing what a magnificent resource they had in the Gurkha Regiment.
Gurkhas that didn't get into the field should not lose heart. There are other units that he will do better and gives his best. Ayo Gurkhali. You can do it.
See, good parenting and a little discipline create real decent human beings. Did my generation the world of good. These are fine young individuals. Making a difference.
Polite, well manerred gentlemen in peace-time. Stone cold killerrs in combat. If you are an enemy insurgent, and you know the British Royal Gerkhas are on your case, you best run, because surrendering is not an option. Whenever British Special Forces need some infantry on a mission, the B-R-G are the no.1 choice. These brave men deserve far more from the British Government when they retire than what they get currently. Most have a full, long army career, but they dont get equal pensions, compared to British born career soldiers. It is discusting how they are treated.
But not a single one of the will be able to have their wife's and children accompany them to the UK under the new governments minimum salary threshold.
That Staffy has a way with words… “It would be really really nice if we out you in non technical trades. Your character and potential we see in non technical trades “ it was a good joke that the kid who can hardly speak gets sent to comms. He can’t even say “communications”
not alot of people know this but there are so many Aryna faced in Nepal but the only people that get selected to the Gurkhas are the monogloid looking. Its facts there's some corruption going on in Nepal about this
Nothing but respect for the Gurkhas.
How about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre?

Hail Gurkha🇳🇵🇬🇧❤️✊
So polite and humble and some of the best soldiers to walk this earth, so happy and proud to have them serving in our army, best of luck lads.
As a native British person I'm extremely proud of the Gurkhas, I lived with some and they are exactly as people say, polite and honourable.
Best of luck to each and everyone of them.Glad to have them on our side.
The english cowards have to buy soldiers from other countries
Legends, every single one of them. No complaining, no whining, just get on with it and give 100% effort.
These people are not servants. The Gerkhas are a valuable part of the British army. A valuable resource.
Servants, resources... What's the difference?
@@Ef554rgccHaving skills and determination vs. not, in this situation you would be a servant.

They serve and are paid for by the tax payers, Hence servants to the people, The King is a servant to the Crown. You are confusing what servant means.

Great to see highly motivated young men keen to develop their abilities. A genuine credit to the men, their culture and the British Army.

I'm biased, there is no more worthy discipline to pursue than engineering. Engineers make things happen in all facets of life.
Remember lads, parachutes will be supplied before any plane jumping is required of you.
Focused, competent, determined. Very impressive. Well done all!
In the American Army I was a Heavy Equipment Operator Engineer. Interesting how the Brits choose their Engineers

Things must of changed. I became a refrigeration and air conditioning fitter through a clerical error at REMR.
How can you not love the Gurkha, suppose it helps when they fight with and not against you :)
They seem very young.

Disgusting isn’t it. Some of the best men to represent a country and they get beaten out by anybody that jumps on a dingy

I don’t know why America hasn’t started recruiting Gurkhas. The Marines would love them
Per agreement, gurkhas can only serve with the british and indian forces
Because there's no history between the United States and the Indian and Nepalese Gurkhas... and with Gurkhas, they are very set in tradition.
Sappers lead the way...
They look so chuffed with themselves and so they should be, I just feel sorry that they are so far from home and their families.
Any Gurkhas in the U.S. Military?
no

Hopefully some day, they will come home to Nepal and create a mighty army for themselves
Expendables servants of the Empire
Nah, employees. They get paid, health insurance, pension. Much better than what they will get in Nepal.

Bravest of the very brave. They deserve no less than full citizenship and full pension rights
These Gurkhas are trained and gained the Kukuri to Fight against the Enemy with blood
They are not want to be these type of servants
Combat engineers are not servants.
Interesting fact. The Gurkha's are even in the Russian private military companies. Go figure.
Brutal mercenaries.
