This tour is 30th anniversary of the album "Moving Pictures" soooooo they played the entire album in order. I was there at MSG in NYC! It was like listening to the cd in your car. Awesome concert!
Vital Signs is a great song! It's the last song on the big-hit laden Moving Pictures album. We were all so blown away with the whole thing and then the ended with that! It was a cool nod to the emerging New Wave music of the time. I loved it. Some other Rush fans thought it was too commercial or derivative (see The Police and others), but I was totally getting into new music back then so it fit my vibe perfectly. Love these guys!
I can see the police homage for sure! I was wondering why it sounded different then usual for them. I really dig it though. I love sting 😀😂 he was in the dune movie from the 80s, that’s how I discovered the police 😂

Part of Geddy's unique singing is that he plays bass. You expect to hear the vocals almost always line up with the guitar riffs, but instead, they line up with the bass riffs, and he sings it in time with his playing. While we're on the topic of Geddy, you can't not watch their live version of "Big Money". But honestly, even the studio version is mind blowing :)
That makes so much sense. I noticed he had a different cadence and rhythm then most other singers but I didn’t realize he was singing to the bass. That’s so dope.
