The competitors are trying to slow down the Brazilian agroindustry using the Amazon deforestation as a pretext. Brazil has one of the lowest forest and natural environment preservation index in the world. In terms of arable land, Brazil has only 8% of its land dedicated to agriculture. US has 18%. China 20%. France 58%. India 61%. Brazil’s ability to harvest two to three crops a year in the same plot of land makes it unique compared with other grain and soybean-producing countries. Brazil has about 12 per cent of the world's surface water resources and one of the most fertile lands in the world. Brazil is now a global agricultural powerhouse feeding one in every 4 people in the world.

Great to see those machines but what happened to the workforce, yes, I understand it fades away. My question, just chewing on it, have we reached a certain point in mechanisation in which we mechanised and have an abundant ( and restless) workforce? You don't have to answer, you can chew on it too.

The world needs more building materials, more packaging, and cardboard made from fibrous plants. Sugarcane is a very good example of a heavy fibrous cane, there are others. We could put Sugarcane in a press and make wall board, much like OSB, 5/8, 3/4 inch wall board for housing. The world needs single family residential houses. Did you see those big concrete buildings? Those are apartment buildings because there is not enough building materials. Other products, paper and cardboard and packaging which can be made from agricultural debris, wheat stalks, corn stalks, sorghum, and be used as packaging and then used as fuel at power generating plants instead of coal. Much cleaner burning in high efficiency recirculating boilers. Much cheaper and cleaner than coal. South America has gotten a bad deal. Sugar, coffee, chocolate, lithium, bananas and much more comes from south America. Yet these people are very poor and the value of their money is very low. To me these people are Americans too, south Americans and we are going to have to do better by them, there is huge potential in the America's for a better world and a much bigger global market. We will have to fix their money and then we will improve exports considerably and improve their standards of living.

In Brazil they are studying ways to make blocks to build houses with the sugarcane bagasse that is leftover from making sugar/biofuel.
