Adam and Jay in the hammock has got to be one of my favourite scenes. Emotional moment, heart-wrenching, but also super manipulative and clever by Adam.
sandra getting voted out was a good moment. i just love when the players can be positive in moments like that. sandra was joking around, begging jeff not to snuff her torch and jeff just gave her the "perish" eyes lmao! almost as if he was trying not to smile. it's the same reason i loved jay. even though the circumstances totally worked against him, he went out with a positive attitude.

Imagine Chris Underwood on this season though. The King of Edge Returns, he'd be too threatening to send to edge so they would keep him in the game hahah
Euigeon X Taeyong Euigeon X Taeyong - Jeff Prost stated during a promotional interview for Season 40 that it was during the filming of Season 39 that he approached Sandra and Boston Rob about an all winners season. Sandra immediately said “Yes”and Boston Rob said “Maybe” and “No” for his wife, Amber, because of the 4 kids. Later Boston Rob called Jeff and said that both him and Amber were in - which Jeff stated helped to encourage many other winners to all say “Yes”. Chris Underwood was on a podcast commenting on Season 40 / Episode 2 - where he stated that he would have loved to participate. Also, stating that the island for Edge of Extinction (EOE) is exactly the same island that he spent all that time on that he thought it would be a different island. Alluding to that his familiarity with the EOE island was probably perceived as an unfair advantage. Considering many fans didn’t think his win was valid, because of EOE. As most fans prefer when you get voted off that you’re out of the game.

I'm rooting for Parvati, her survivor season was the first one I watched, and i feel in love with her. Then her moves on Fans vs Favorites, were amazing.
Nick. I believe he's humble enough to hide among the larger egos of winners who feel they have something to prove. I believe Natalie has a great shot as well because of her adaptability and killer intuition. Kim is my all-time favorite, but I think she will be too threatening because of how lights out her game was in One World. Literally cannot wait.

By that’s also what makes him a threat. I love the dude, but he isn’t in my tops to win. He’ll probably make the merge but with as much of a player he is, I honestly can’t see him getting to much further.

Denise! My fave player. She has an amazing story, she's still hopefully a challenge beast, I think she could slip unnoticed through the pre-merge because I anticipate big targets leaving from the early beginning and then I expect her to grow more and more, she's very likable (excluding Abbi) so she should get the jury votes and I love love love her confessionals.. she knows how to read people, it's her job.. you could say she is a more likable Kass.. and Kass is also one of my faves :D

Personally, I'm rooting for Ethan. I'm so excited to watch him adapt to the new style, I think his personal story of overcoming cancer is so strong, physically he looks fit and ready as hell, and I don't think he'll be seen as a huge target. I actually think he'll be someone people want to align themselves with - since he doesn't have a ton of pre-show relationships (as far as I'm aware), people will want to lock down his vote and he'll be incredibly valuable
I'm rooting for Jeremy. He played a phenomenal game his second time, showed his ability to adapt, and had an amazing and complex personality and story that makes him not only fun to root for but representative of a season of All-Stars
I think Nick is really overlooked as being a threat but he used so many skills to get him to the final tribal. He used the shields of Christian and Davie while bonding with the Goliaths. Then when he needed it won immunity 3 times in a row!
Thank you so much for these videos, I fell off Survivor a few seasons ago but had to come back for this season. Incredible recaps of everyone, really endeared me to each players victory
I'm rooting for Adam!!! He's literally me if I ever got a chance to play Survivor! He's a super-nerd for the game, he got to actually play the game, and he WON!!! Now he's getting to come back to play alongside people he and I watched when we were literally little kids, like Ethan, Rob and Amber?!?!?! (not gonna lie, I had a HUGE teenaged crush on Amber). He's living the Survivor nerd's dream. On a more personal note, I had taken a 6 year hiatus from watching Survivor during my years in college (I've since watched every season I missed at least twice, and rewatched all the seasons I saw as a kid), and Millennials vs Gen X was the first season I'd say down watched live since Redemption Island. Adam was a person I was rooting for from early in the season, and I rode him as my one of my favorites for the entire season. So to see him pull out the win was just a perfect way for me to fall back in love with the game of my childhood. Having him play alongside all these other people is going to be really awesome. I'm praying he at least lasts a while, and also gets swapped around a few times so he can actually play with several different people. The other two I'm rooting for are Danni and Yul. Both haven't played since their first times out, and I'm looking forward to seeing them ingratiate themselves back into the game. I actually like Jeff Probst's pick to win, Danni. I'm rooting for Adam, but Danni is my pick to actually maybe win. She played one of the most under-the-radar games ever, and I think she can come right back in and do the same. Like Sandra when she played in Heroes vs Villains. Danni is SUPER dangerous.
Nick Wilson is my 3rd favorite Survivor Contestant and is also my favorite Male contestant! I'm hoping that either Nick or Sophie Clarke (My 2nd favorite contestant). will win this 40th season.
Team Adam, I think he will have some struggles in the beginning being perceived as too strategic/super fan that could get him into some trouble. But, much like MvG he struggled in early game that made him have to work from the bottom and play the wave of powers. I can see him making connections to get to the merge and able to find idols and advantages to get him further in the game. I also think he has a few pregame relationships from the survivor community that will translate well into the game! I can't wait for this season. Also cheering for Tyson, Wendell, Nick, and Sophie!
Yul. He was an underdog in his season, but he played an awesome game. He's the one I'm most excited about coming back and (in my opinion) the best social player already in the new season.
Ben is so underrated because of the final 4 fire challenge at that time but that was needed to avoid people taking not only 1 but 2 goats to the final 3.
I'm hoping Jeremy can win this season and be the second two-time winner. I really loved his game in Second Chance and it was all against experienced returning players. He's a well rounded player who has shown to be able to adapt. He learned to use a shield strategy after his loss in SJDS and also had to adapt to the frequency of voting blocs throughout the season. I think he'd be able to adapt to the EoE and fire token twist. However, from his interviews, he doesn't seem as motivated to win this season.
Perdiam, I’d actually love to hear an introspective of the other 18 winners who aren’t playing at Winners at War. And your thoughts of why you think they should/shouldn’t have played and why CBS/Jeff ultimately didn’t choose them.

Wendell. In his season he quickly became one of my favorite players ever because he was so likeable, and he has a great game physically, strategically, and most of all socially. I also really loved the dynamic of him vs Dom in the final 3 as Dom had the slight better physical and strategic games, but Wendell proved that you can still win in modern survivor due to social skills (as that’s what pushed him over the edge to squeak out the win)
Good man, not calling Adam's story a "sob story". I think cancer is a thing to which most people can relate, myself included, and the divulging of information at certain points, but not others, is a legitimately good strategy. I honestly don't think he was JUST trying to tug on heartstrings either. He was there to win and I completely respect him.
They should have a season where Jeff plays the game with other show hosts like Terry Crews, Simon Cowell, Dr. Phil, Oprah, Ellen, Steve Harvey, Jerry Springer, Conan, etc. list goes on and on lol
I'm rooting for Parvati most. She, by far, has the most impressive resume to this day and is a major threat. If she is able to divert her threat level, she will go down in Survivor history as the GOAT.
Words cannot describe how much I've loved these road to victory videos - great work! So hard to single out one person to root but I think I'd go for Kim Spradlin because she won the very first season I watched (although I have since watched all previous seasons)

AxOlcia basically Sarah gave her steal a vote advantage that she found at a challenge to cirie to build trust with her and cirie discovered that tai was trying to vote out Sarah and tai had an idol so at tribal council cirie attempted to use the advantage to steal Sarah’s vote to make tai feel safe so he wouldn’t play his idol and then use both the votes to get tai out but Sarah revealed that she herself was the only one able to use the advantage and after many side conversations Sarah decided to use the advantage to get out mikaela who was ciries biggest ally
I want Boston Rob to win. He has, in my opinion, won two seasons already (he won all-stars through and through, just didn't get the "winning" votes because back in that day cutthroat survivor couldn't win, whereas I feel it can in modern survivor). Also, who doesn't love to watch someone that is essentially the godfather of survivor win. I love seeing him play and look forward to seeing it again. My runner up is Sarah (I feel she played essentially the same way as Rob during his all-stars run and the other season that he actually won, just very quiet). I don't think she will be able to be quiet this time around so it will be good to see it in the open. Also, I am going to love to see the return of Ben bombs. That season was insane and it will be cool to see if he can win again.

Ben is big fan favorite, but in the center, his strategy is to go after the old school and right now, he has numbers on his side. He WILL win challenges and has aligned himself with two, very cunning and current "off the radar" players already. Plus, I just have a feeling he is the one. #teamBen. Fight me!
I am rooting for Adam the most because I think he is all around a great person and a great player. When I was his name on the official list for Season 40 I actually jumped for joy because I get to see him again on Survivor. Super excited for this season
One of the players I miss the most not returning is *Christopher Daugherty* , Winner of Season 9. He overcame huge obstacles being the sole surviving male post-merge. The other player I'll miss is *Earl Cole* . He was an amazing strategic player (I understand he was planned, but had some "family issues"?). I'd be interested in you doing a video on the people *not* returning for Season 40...and why.
My opinion: People hate on Ben way to much in my opinion. Ben generally played great strategically in the merge, he created a 7 person alliance that dominated and soon he became a double agent and began to flip from side to side, blindsiding others, he then created what I think is a fabulous move, he made something I call a Babushka strategy, which is making a alliance, then making a alliance WITHIN that alliance so when push comes to shove, you aren’t getting voted out the second it’s down to your alliance. But that didn’t happen for Ben, his 4 flipped on him, and at the final 7 to final 5, say what you want, but you can’t blame Ben for going idol crazy, he was put in a spot where he could either go on a immunity run which definitely wasn’t happening, so he had to rely on idols, which people assume was the only thing he did when he didn’t. And everyone assumes that the idols were rigged for Ben, but you realize nobody else looked BUT BEN. everyone else slept around while Ben was looking. And people say Ben could’ve tried to use social game, when you do realize at the F6 on, social game couldn’t save him. They were going after Ben no matter what happens. So he played 3 idols. Now to the final 4. Ben didn’t have the final 4 twist rigged for him. If it was rigged for him and him only, production would’ve ended it at HvHvH. They wouldn’t have continued it for the next seasons. Also people hate it for being “out of nowhere” well guess what. ITS A TWIST, It’s supposed to be stupid and crazy and out of nowhere. And that’s how I summarized and corrected Ben’s game.
Im lost as to why he is hated. I eas rooting for him for the last half of the game an my mom was to. He played as hard as he could an fought like hell for his win. How does he not deserve it then. He wasnt handed any of those idols or his immunity wins, he got them himself fair an square!!
@@Weeks25 Because he was handed those idols by production AND production came up with the fire challenge on the spot to try and save him. He had such a terrible social game that Chrissy had to tell him that the alliance could not stand how bossy he was.
Sorry, but it was Devon & Ryan that created the 7 person alliance at the merge. It was also Devon who came up with the double agent plan for Ben. He played the role Devon told him to for one vote. After that he exposed himself when he stupidly isolated himself socially. Ben did not flip back and forth or blindside anyone (other than with the idols production gave him).
Debbie McCune he wasn’t handed those idols. The fact is, nobody looked. That’s the only reason he found so many. Proof of this is the final 5 where they decided to make a fake idol instead of actually looking for a idol.

I like him sometimes...but sometimes he is too mean for me and it bothers me. He definitely makes for good TV though....one example off the top of my head, I didn't like how arrogant and rude he was when Katie drew the bad rock in BvW..like, it's Katie...she's even more quiet and docile than her mom 😂

GOD Varner outing Zeke was one of the craziest tribal councils. I just remember sitting their in shock. It’s hurtful to be outed even to just one person, it’s a complete betrayal of trust. The fact that this was on live TV it just...it was so so horrible

I have my two favorites in Jeremy and Sarah. I didn't watch Sarah's first season, but, my God, she was so great in Game Changers. I've appreciated Jeremy's game in both of his seasons. I wouldn't say I'm exactly rooting for anyone though. I know I'm partial to those two, and a few others, but I'm seriously just excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I want to see how everyone adapts and plays. It's going to be epic, and I don't want to be locked in so hard that I can't appreciate them all as objectively as I possibly can. I'm so excited!
I'm rooting for Tyson! My first ever survivor season was Blood vs. Water so he holds a special place in my survivor heart. And he's just an amazing player in general I feel!

The person I want to win is Nick. That's probably because I started watching survivor with millennials vs gen x. So I'm more accustomed to the newer seasons. He also has a better grip to the game, then the older players.

Nick Wilson is my 3rd favorite Survivor Contestant and is also my favorite Male contestant! I'm hoping that either Nick or Sophie Clarke (My 2nd favorite contestant). will win this 40th season.
Team Adam, I think he will have some struggles in the beginning being perceived as too strategic/super fan that could get him into some trouble. But, much like MvG he struggled in early game that made him have to work from the bottom and play the wave of powers. I can see him making connections to get to the merge and able to find idols and advantages to get him further in the game. I also think he has a few pregame relationships from the survivor community that will translate well into the game! I can't wait for this season.

Yul. He was an underdog in his season, but he played an awesome game. He's the one I'm most excited about coming back and (in my opinion) the best social player already in the new season.
Ben is so underrated because of the final 4 fire challenge at that time but that was needed to avoid people taking not only 1 but 2 goats to the final 3.
Parvati because of the way she slayed in Micronesia and I love her personality
I'm hoping Jeremy can win this season and be the second two-time winner. I really loved his game in Second Chance and it was all against experienced returning players. He's a well rounded player who has shown to be able to adapt. He learned to use a shield strategy after his loss in SJDS and also had to adapt to the frequency of voting blocs throughout the season. I think he'd be able to adapt to the EoE and fire token twist. However, from his interviews, he doesn't seem as motivated to win this season.

Wendell. In his season he quickly became one of my favorite players ever because he was so likeable, and he has a great game physically, strategically, and most of all socially. I also really loved the dynamic of him vs Dom in the final 3 as Dom had the slight better physical and strategic games, but Wendell proved that you can still win in modern survivor due to social skills (as that’s what pushed him over the edge to squeak out the win)

Nick by far I don't think he is the flashiest but I just like his full story.
Good man, not calling Adam's story a "sob story". I think cancer is a thing to which most people can relate, myself included, and the divulging of information at certain points, but not others, is a legitimately good strategy. I honestly don't think he was JUST trying to tug on heartstrings either. He was there to win and I completely respect him.

AxOlcia basically Sarah gave her steal a vote advantage that she found at a challenge to cirie to build trust with her and cirie discovered that tai was trying to vote out Sarah and tai had an idol so at tribal council cirie attempted to use the advantage to steal Sarah’s vote to make tai feel safe so he wouldn’t play his idol and then use both the votes to get tai out but Sarah revealed that she herself was the only one able to use the advantage and after many side conversations Sarah decided to use the advantage to get out mikaela who was ciries biggest ally

I want Boston Rob to win. He has, in my opinion, won two seasons already (he won all-stars through and through, just didn't get the "winning" votes because back in that day cutthroat survivor couldn't win, whereas I feel it can in modern survivor). Also, who doesn't love to watch someone that is essentially the godfather of survivor win. I love seeing him play and look forward to seeing it again. My runner up is Sarah (I feel she played essentially the same way as Rob during his all-stars run and the other season that he actually won, just very quiet). I don't think she will be able to be quiet this time around so it will be good to see it in the open. Also, I am going to love to see the return of Ben bombs. That season was insane and it will be cool to see if he can win again.
I'm rooting for Tony the most because he is the most entertaining player.

Ben is big fan favorite, but in the center, his strategy is to go after the old school and right now, he has numbers on his side. He WILL win challenges and has aligned himself with two, very cunning and current "off the radar" players already.
Plus, I just have a feeling he is the one. #teamBen. Fight me!
Boston Rob, I think he’s the best at adapting to those around him.
I am rooting for Adam the most because I think he is all around a great person and a great player. When I was his name on the official list for Season 40 I actually jumped for joy because I get to see him again on Survivor. Super excited for this season

Rooting for Wendell, he is the first winner I watched live all the way through, and I think he is an awesome person and deserves the win!
One of the players I miss the most not returning is *Christopher Daugherty* , Winner of Season 9. He overcame huge obstacles being the sole surviving male post-merge. The other player I'll miss is *Earl Cole* . He was an amazing strategic player (I understand he was planned, but had some "family issues"?). I'd be interested in you doing a video on the people *not* returning for Season 40...and why.
My opinion: People hate on Ben way to much in my opinion.
Ben generally played great strategically in the merge, he created a 7 person alliance that dominated and soon he became a double agent and began to flip from side to side, blindsiding others, he then created what I think is a fabulous move, he made something I call a Babushka strategy, which is making a alliance, then making a alliance WITHIN that alliance so when push comes to shove, you aren’t getting voted out the second it’s down to your alliance. But that didn’t happen for Ben, his 4 flipped on him, and at the final 7 to final 5, say what you want, but you can’t blame Ben for going idol crazy, he was put in a spot where he could either go on a immunity run which definitely wasn’t happening, so he had to rely on idols, which people assume was the only thing he did when he didn’t. And everyone assumes that the idols were rigged for Ben, but you realize nobody else looked BUT BEN. everyone else slept around while Ben was looking. And people say Ben could’ve tried to use social game, when you do realize at the F6 on, social game couldn’t save him. They were going after Ben no matter what happens. So he played 3 idols. Now to the final 4. Ben didn’t have the final 4 twist rigged for him. If it was rigged for him and him only, production would’ve ended it at HvHvH. They wouldn’t have continued it for the next seasons. Also people hate it for being “out of nowhere” well guess what. ITS A TWIST, It’s supposed to be stupid and crazy and out of nowhere. And that’s how I summarized and corrected Ben’s game.
Im lost as to why he is hated. I eas rooting for him for the last half of the game an my mom was to. He played as hard as he could an fought like hell for his win. How does he not deserve it then. He wasnt handed any of those idols or his immunity wins, he got them himself fair an square!!
@@Weeks25 Because he was handed those idols by production AND production came up with the fire challenge on the spot to try and save him. He had such a terrible social game that Chrissy had to tell him that the alliance could not stand how bossy he was.
Sorry, but it was Devon & Ryan that created the 7 person alliance at the merge. It was also Devon who came up with the double agent plan for Ben. He played the role Devon told him to for one vote. After that he exposed himself when he stupidly isolated himself socially. Ben did not flip back and forth or blindside anyone (other than with the idols production gave him).
Debbie McCune he wasn’t handed those idols. The fact is, nobody looked. That’s the only reason he found so many. Proof of this is the final 5 where they decided to make a fake idol instead of actually looking for a idol.

@@smallss7197 tbh if I were to also pick the person with the worst record it would be Tyson. He's probably going to be looked at as a threat from an icon status more than anything. Thankfully Tony, Kim, Sandra, and Sarah, and Amber are all on his starting tribe so we might be ok for a while.
I like him sometimes...but sometimes he is too mean for me and it bothers me. He definitely makes for good TV though....one example off the top of my head, I didn't like how arrogant and rude he was when Katie drew the bad rock in BvW..like, it's Katie...she's even more quiet and docile than her mom 😂

GOD Varner outing Zeke was one of the craziest tribal councils. I just remember sitting their in shock. It’s hurtful to be outed even to just one person, it’s a complete betrayal of trust. The fact that this was on live TV it just...it was so so horrible

I have my two favorites in Jeremy and Sarah. I didn't watch Sarah's first season, but, my God, she was so great in Game Changers. I've appreciated Jeremy's game in both of his seasons.
I wouldn't say I'm exactly rooting for anyone though. I know I'm partial to those two, and a few others, but I'm seriously just excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I want to see how everyone adapts and plays. It's going to be epic, and I don't want to be locked in so hard that I can't appreciate them all as objectively as I possibly can. I'm so excited!

The person I want to win is Nick. That's probably because I started watching survivor with millennials vs gen x. So I'm more accustomed to the newer seasons. He also has a better grip to the game, then the older players.
