When visiting and leaving Orlando in the summer, always try to get a morning flight out. Avoid the afternoon/evening thunderstorms which can be vicious when you are flying. Our Florida tstorms are brutal during the summer months.
Thankyou for the light show on your way home incredible lightning, turbulence can be scary but I know it’s nothing .A pilot told me once imagine going down a county road in the dark and hitting the pot holes because you can’t see them he said that’s it don’t worry . Along travel day that’s for sure but I love the Florida series , all the best x 👍

Wow! Bad start to your flight home. ✈️ I used to fly near 100,000 miles a year. Now that I'm older(66), a cloud makes me anxious. One flight I was on, lightning 🌩 struck the plane, and an orange ball of flames rolled down the aisle. Later, we found out it had blown the very tip of the tail off. Anyway, I'm rambling 😅. I'm glad you made it safely home eventually.

Watching this from a soaking wet Orlando. Been here since 7th July and so far had 4 nights of biblical rain. Always seem to happen just as we were leaving the theme parks. 2 pairs of trainers soaked through and with no balcony to dry them on they’re still damp 😠 I’m from Glasgow, so I’m used to the rain but it’s next level here. Had a lightning strike right outside the Avatar ride last night and I’ve never heard anything like it 😮 Coincidentally, my son and I are flying back on those exact same seats, cost me a small fortune for the pleasure🤦🏻♂️
Orlando weather is very unpredictable in respect of lightning storms. Sorry you have had a rough time with the rain. The seats you have booked, we think are excellent albeit they are costly. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. Safe journey home. x
Earlier this year we went to Paphos and saw a vlog of you there just a few days before we departed, which I really enjoyed watching. In 4 weeks time we’re off to Orlando and here you are again - beaten us to it! 😂
Me and and partner travelled from tenerife 12 years ago the plane comming back to newcastle was shaking like mad we thought lats it for us we helled each hands thinking thats it for us

Wow that thunderstorm was amazing to watch & my god that rain, the visibility was so poor. I'd never do long-haul flights but we normally stay in the EU but last year when we flew to Kos there was a thunderstorm as we where coming into land, found it a bit scary but was well away from us & didn't get soaked when we got off the plane
It's not for the want of trying, Steve is constantly looking but we have a few trips coming up and doesn't seem a space in calender this year. Back in Feb so not can't complain. x

Truly appreciate how long you were at the airport before your flight. That screen is amazing that they have installed in Term C. Never seen a storm like that before even after 30 mins of flying. Hi Carol and Steve .Do you always try to fly with BA and direct .We had split flight to Tampa last year stopping at Philadelphia and changing to American Airlines absolute nightmare .My daughter won’t fly with them again but if it was direct to either MCO or Tampa I might talk her round So would you recommend?
We definately would recommend BA. We always fly direct into Orlando and have always been impressed by the friendliness of the crew. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. x
