I didn’t even know they had that, but I’ve already thought about this and the true way to really make this thing work is for ALL CARS to have a chip that lets them read and interact with each other . This way there would never be accidents or traffic . Even if you want gas car, that’s fine, but they should implement chips in gas cars as well so they can all talk together on the road . @khanisbrown6424 Yes, the end-of-trip *might* have the car park (or attempt to park) itself, depending on the situation, as part of the model's inherent behavior. However, I don't believe the same reasoning can be applied to the implementation and use of inter-fleet communication. That functionality will need to be activated by Tesla and I would assume mentioned verbatim in the release notes.

Thanks for your FSD version 13 video. Being from the US, I am not used to seeing speeds in KPH. I had to do a google conversion from KPH to MPH. So, 52 KPH is 32 MPH. Was wondering how fast FSD was going in Snowy conditions. Take care.
Question: Did you ever felt uncomfortable because of winter? Did the car slide? Do you ever felt insecure? Its interests me very much, because I want to drive FSD in Switzerland and Germany next year and the winter can be really slippery.
So cool to see FSD 13 in the snow. I'm in Arkansas, US and we hardly ever get snow - 12C today and that is normal for this time of year. I also have a '24 Model 3, so I'm very excited fro FSD 13! Is yours AWD? I might suppose so, given the snow in your area's climate. Merci!
Subscribing for snow trials. I live in the middle of Sweden and 4-5 months of the year there can and will be snow and ice. I love Chuck Cooks videos, but the real winter coverage is a bit sparse. 😉
So the car knew it had to turn left into the tim hortons but it's just like nah, too tough, going to put you across the street in the far right lane? Turning left there did seem tricky with a lot of cars coming the opposite way but weird that it wouldn't even try. And you gave it another chance to figure it out. Any idea why it wouldn't try the left turn? The map knew it had to turn there but just figured the right lane across the street was close enough?
Actually the second time that i engaged fsd at the Tim’s it didnt have the address in anymore, so thats my bad. But yea i havent had the best drop offs lately haha
Do these signs, blinking lights and directional lights just not show up in the States or something? Or are they always paired with big bold letters in English and lane demarcations(which wouldn't show up in the snow). Why is it so hard to have a local database of these built-in?
I drove 12.5.6 in Toronto the other day. For some reason it told me to pay attention a lot more when I was looking straight ahead and definitely paying attention. It was red lettering instead of blue too and beeped at me each time. I didn't get why this would change just because I was in Canada but it hasn't done it since I came back into the U.S.
Hahaha it does look like it! But no my brain forgot all about stalks, probably went to tap the wheel out of boredom and decided against it. Good catch though lolol
Somebody out there needs to do an FSD review in DENSE FOG like we have on the west coast. In Montreal terms, that would be during a DOWNPOUR or in HEAVY SNOW.

Can I ask you about your camera setup? I will be in Mtl in about one week and I would like to make a video like yours using a DJI Action 5 or an iphone.
@@FSDCanadaMtljust thought if FSD complains that the camera visibility is bad from behind the main windshield, it could just auto clean it from the washer.
4:30 next time disengage and engage again, so you can take a voice note. Otherwise the mistake it not send to Tesla, and the assumption is, that the car did everything correct.
But how does it handle slippery roads and skidding? As a human, I will test my tire grip when I first start driving so I know what my limits are and what my traction is. I didn't see any indication that it knows that it's driving in snowy/icy conditions. And, it appears to me that it's not really giving some more space to the car in front. There's nothing FSFD could do if it starts to brake and the tires start skidding. The only prudent solution in those driving conditions would be to give more room in front to allow for more time to determine suitable options to avoid a collision. I remember one time years ago, the roads were so icy that the slightest tap on the break and my tires started to slip. Luckily it was very late at night with no one anywhere near me. I doubt current FSD versions, including v13, would be able to handle that scenario without a crash.
Well the highway didnt really have snow on the roads. I did feel like it was going slower at the beginning thought. But i agree with you, solving the snow and road conditions will be an other level of difficulty. We’ll see how it evolves
Does FSD adjust follow distance or braking to a stop based on the weather? I tend to give more space and brake sooner manually driving, especially in icy conditions...
after seeing this, this is my thoughts.....in the near future, all cars are going to be required to have full self driving , whether the car is electric or gas. That means companies like Ford and GM will have to license this technology from Tesla. Full self driving is going to be the new seat belt. It will be illegal to drive without having it because of safety. Thats my opinion, im sure it can take 10+ years for that to take effect, but after seeing this video it only makes sense to put it into law that going forward any new cars built have to have FSD included and people will 'have to' keep fsd turned on . Cop pulls you over, finds out you had fsd turned off, its a ticket (just like if you not wearing seat belt). Thoughts on this? Cause the future cannot be all electric cars, there still will be gas cars, but i can also see price of gas going down cause less demand , so gas and electric will be close in energy cost per month...like it will end up being you buy an electric car and it costs you 100 bucks a month (for example) for electricity, and the gas car might be $120 bucks or something (very similar).
I dont think it will be required, but having a drivers licence and a car in the future will be a luxury most likely. So a lot of people are gonna be priced out of it. Just like horse riding. Brands like lambo, porsche etc, will be selling their premium cars and there will be a market for it
Is it allowed to overtake on the right side on Highway in Canada? That is a super dangerous and illegal manouver in Europe. Nobody expects someone on the back right side. For some mysterious reason in Sweden the way safest traffic country in the world it became legal to overtake on the right in dual lane up to 70 km/h a few years ago. Which has led to people doing it on the highway and it causes accidents. You really can't have to rules for the more or less exakt same thing. Before the change you could overtake in a queue situation if one queue moved faster.
Thanks for posting an actual review. Not some hype channel posting BS. I’ve had FSD for 3 years now , and I’m waiting for v13 ( i have a hw3 model3 and hw4 Y) Version 13 better be over 100 times better than 12 otherwise that Robo taxi shit ain’t happening for another five years. 😂. in real life every single actual human I know who has tried FSD is like “wow that’s neat but there’s no way I’m dumb enough to pay for that bullshit. “ Yet online …FSD is almost there and it’s the best invention ever. Idk I’m just sayin , it’s been a letdown so far. I suppose if you’re like a 85-year-old partially blind human driver yeah FSD is awesome and drives better than you . But if you don’t suffer from major mental retardation and have been driving for over 3 years , it def drives odd and dangerously at times. Who knows 🤷♂️ let’s see.
Haha so far it seems divisive, but I genuinely prefer FSD over driving. I just take over when needed and enjoy the ride the rest of the time. Not ready for unsupervised yet, but every update is getting us closer and closer. Cheers!
It had “Break enabled” setting on at first. Which confused me, i thought they added something new to just start it with the brakes. But then realized its Press and Hold THEN brake haha. Anyways.

Now, I think they might not actually bring a good holiday update, as christmas is a mere 8 days away... 12.5.6.4 is doing a very poor job in the school zones compared to previous version and I'm anxious for that to straighten up.
I should check out school zones, thanks for the feedback
Thanks for your FSD version 13 video. Being from the US, I am not used to seeing speeds in KPH. I had to do a google conversion from KPH to MPH. So, 52 KPH is 32 MPH. Was wondering how fast FSD was going in Snowy conditions.
Take care.
Question: Did you ever felt uncomfortable because of winter? Did the car slide? Do you ever felt insecure? Its interests me very much, because I want to drive FSD in Switzerland and Germany next year and the winter can be really slippery.
V12 had me stress sometimes on the snow. Wouldn’t adjust speed properly. But we’ll see with v13
If on HW3 cars that never bought fsd and can't upgrade, I hope they at least let us have supervised fsd for free eventually
Merci!
Yep AWD! Wouldn’t feel safe without it tbh. But many buy the RWD even in Montreal.

Subscribing for snow trials. I live in the middle of Sweden and 4-5 months of the year there can and will be snow and ice. I love Chuck Cooks videos, but the real winter coverage is a bit sparse. 😉
Waiting for good snow to drop and we’ll be out testing it ;) thanks for subbing
awesome
So the car knew it had to turn left into the tim hortons but it's just like nah, too tough, going to put you across the street in the far right lane? Turning left there did seem tricky with a lot of cars coming the opposite way but weird that it wouldn't even try. And you gave it another chance to figure it out. Any idea why it wouldn't try the left turn? The map knew it had to turn there but just figured the right lane across the street was close enough?
Actually the second time that i engaged fsd at the Tim’s it didnt have the address in anymore, so thats my bad. But yea i havent had the best drop offs lately haha
impressive!
15:40 ,it was changing lanes when you took over, can't call it a mistake.
That was me pression the signals asking it to change. But since it didnt commit fast enough i took over
Do these signs, blinking lights and directional lights just not show up in the States or something? Or are they always paired with big bold letters in English and lane demarcations(which wouldn't show up in the snow). Why is it so hard to have a local database of these built-in?
I drove 12.5.6 in Toronto the other day. For some reason it told me to pay attention a lot more when I was looking straight ahead and definitely paying attention. It was red lettering instead of blue too and beeped at me each time. I didn't get why this would change just because I was in Canada but it hasn't done it since I came back into the U.S.
Yo not bad sir!
Quick question, if you don’t mind me asking, could you share your setup for recording your FSD videos?
Gopro 11 with Telesin heavy mount, and Newer arm extension
18:09 did you reach for a stalk?!?! 😊
Well what do you expect? It won’t work with heavy snow. It will not even start because the cameras will be blocked.
@@Treyson31 Is that the best you can muster? Why bother posting trash replies?
@@stepannovotny4291 Stepan, I don't understand what do you expect, if it cannot see far enough it will ask you to take over (source - driving on FSD 12.5.4.2 in dense fog in British Columbia)
@@stepannovotny4291 I simply stated facts. The system doesn‘t support extreme weather and it doesn’t have to.
I have a video with crazy pouring rain. Check it out
9:37 not sure why you feel comfortable at 1 second distance. I mean, if the car in front brakes hard, you haven't even hit the brake pedal before you impact the car in front. 😂
So no, one second distance is not safe.
Its definitely better than the average Montreal driver (I kid, i kid...but its kinda true ;) )
Oh yea fosho
Can I ask you about your camera setup? I will be in Mtl in about one week and I would like to make a video like yours using a DJI Action 5 or an iphone.
I have a gopro with a suction mount on the glass roof. So the DJI would probably imitate it best
22:15 Holy Smokes
First I was like, why doesn't FSD break? then I saw the car behind 22:26 it had to take care as well... brilliant!
Do you have to pay attention or can you trust the car completely at this point? Like, could I read a book while being driven around in the city?
Its called supervised fsd for a reason :p im hoping we see unsupervised fsd in 2-3 years here
@9:05 sorry for your window… (between steering wheel and top left of screen)
LOL good catch! Im gonna see if that’s just a stain or im finished 😂
Can the car automatically clean the window using both the washer and the wiper?
Never seen it use the washer so far. It does wipe alone though
@@FSDCanadaMtljust thought if FSD complains that the camera visibility is bad from behind the main windshield, it could just auto clean it from the washer.
@ will be added for sure later
How is it with the potholes in Montreal?
Lol it goes right into them. Gotta be careful and take over for now
WOW
Indeed
Is this RWD or AWD? Great video!
AWD!
4:30 next time disengage and engage again, so you can take a voice note. Otherwise the mistake it not send to Tesla, and the assumption is, that the car did everything correct.
what kind of tires do you use during winter?
December 1, Winter tires are required by law
Nokian winter tires
How bad is rust up there? Tesla is mostly aluminum?
Personally havent seen a rusted tesla yet, too early to tell maybe? Most new cars dont rust anymore for a good decade i would say
Does FSD adjust follow distance or braking to a stop based on the weather? I tend to give more space and brake sooner manually driving, especially in icy conditions...
It does keep more distance in pouring rain, haven’t had big snow days to test yet. We’ll see soon
does not having stalks/indicators in car not a problem?
When i barely have to drive, nope haha
I actually have a harder time in a car with stalks nows
@@FSDCanadaMtl Interesting
I’m in Vancouver, waiting for the V13 download - maybe later today or tomorrow. What camera are you using, or is it a bracket for a mobile phone?
Its a gopro11 ! Let me know how you like v13
8:24 the following distance is not safe. I don't know why FSD things it can keep so small following distances at 70 km/h
The camera doesnt do justice, distance is more than enough. Most human drivers keep much smaller of a distance.
Are you on winter tires or all season tires?
Winter! Mandatory and also you’d have to be crazy not to have them for when it snows 30cm haha
after seeing this, this is my thoughts.....in the near future, all cars are going to be required to have full self driving , whether the car is electric or gas.
I personally have a hard time trusting fsd in Montreal idk the roads in this city feel so weird
Takes 2-3 weeks to get used to fsd and then you’ll just correct the mistakes when needed. Doesn’t need to be perfect to be useful
Cheers!
Let's go!
Clearly didn't roll over that first stop wth 😂
XD
Could we collaborate? I am from Hansshow Technologies
It literally said press and hold, you pressed but didn't hold!!!! jesus christ!! You dont need the breaks to start FSD
😂
😅
😊
It had “Break enabled” setting on at first. Which confused me, i thought they added something new to just start it with the brakes. But then realized its Press and Hold THEN brake haha. Anyways.
U need to relax, you seem tense, dude...lol

FSD is too expensive
Worth every penny. Will probably get more expensive in the future too
@@FSDCanadaMtl you use it for daily ride?
@@pranshukrishna5105a friend of mine uses it almost exclusively here in Halifax in his Y. $11k is a big ask but I am considering it because of how it handles rush hour which is just getting worse and worse here because we have 3 roads for 300k drivers.
@ always, at least 99% of my miles (i think more though)
@@pranshukrishna510599% time in every drive with v12. And now v13 is much better!
You said "can't complain" but if you were forced to have your hand on the wheel for most of it, then it sounds like a complaint to me.
His hand on the wheel “sounds like a complaint” to you? Your post sounds like baby mental gymnastics to me.
@@jadusiv Hand on the wheel = pointless. I didn't do that even on V12.x. The point of these videos is to let it drive. Not take over out of fear or non-trust. It becomes pointless
@@jadusiv I have to agree it's like a complaint. I've seen countless testing videos of FSD. When you have to keep holding it for corrections, it pretty much means FAIL. How could that not be the same as a major complaint?
When you are testing a new version in new conditions, it is reasonable being careful. It does not matter if it is a version 13 or 27. You gain confidence over time, not 'just because'. You are risking your possession and life here. So don't be silly and expect for people to be careless because you want them to.
First time out with a version….. I’d have my hands pretty dam close to the wheel!
Your criticisms are so refreshing ty sir!
So many reviewers are extremely biased, Montreal with snow is perfect to test out the actual limits of Tesla instead of just showing easy drives!
Thanks for the feedback! Human nature is prone to biases haha
Lack of auto camera cleaning feels like the biggest long term hardware issue imo.
Robotaxi customers will not want to clean cameras before a ride 🥲
Its gonna have to be added 100%
@ good to melt clean snow, but wont helps with muddy snow sticking to the car on the highway
