Alan's micro expressions are so well done. The more you watch him the more you pick up on them like you can tell exactly what hes thinking. Coogan is a genius.

Alan's furtive and half-scared sideway glances at the 'cordless' man are pure acting genius, and for me they pretty much make the scene (complete): they wonderfully convey Alan's out-of-touchness and almost inimical approach to people who behave as they are as opposed to how Partridge thinks they should.

    Finally, yesterday evening it happened:
I went to meet two friends of mine and a few cold ones. After a while The conversation led us into the topic British humour/comedy Tv-series, and if we “had to choose” one absolute favourite out of em all, which series/would that be.
One of them came to the conclusion she held MP’s Flying Circus dearest, the other gal informed us that her choice most likely would be Hale and Pace.
I were in good mood, had some extra cash available to burn, so I found it somewhat interesting and worth try a nonverbal form of answer.
I excused myself and said I’d first just wanted to buy us a new round from the bar and come back with my choice of comedy favourite.
I got in line and when my turn came, I ordered “Three Ladyboys”. The bartender weren’t quite sure if he knew how to make it and asked if I could assist with info on how to make it.
To make it easy, I ordered 3pints of beer, 3 GTs and 3 bailey’s and congratulated the bartender on how splendidly well he had made his first three ladyboys ever.
He then helped me carrying the order over to the table, and I sat down with my friends again.
Contrary to what I thought really would come out of it, I were positively surprised when, after a few seconds of them both just looking at the drinks standing in front of us, when the eyes of one of the two lighted where she shortly after shouted out “I’m Alan Partridge!!”.
Just one of those moments where the mix of good friends, alcohol and a shared fondness of good comedy becomes a short moment of perfection and laughter.
    In short:
I’m Allan Partridge is my all time favourite from the world of tv comedy 🤩

@@luvuyonobadula40 oh you dig Pegg, thats cool. I just saw a movie where he and half the cast from that movie were in an alien takeover of an English boarding school. It was very strange and cool. The big guy from Shaun of the dead, I forget his name, played a hippie who camped out on campus while the rich kids fracked the place for oil - very funny.

When Alan asks Lynn to go down to the casting agency, Montagu plays that part as if the joke is that she thinks Alan's going to ask her to be his wife (which pays off her asking him in the lift earlier on), but the way it's edited the joke never really comes across. Or maybe the studio audience didn't pick up on it

Being one of the greatest men who ever lived, I have a tendency to exude 'absolute machismo' when not suffering from ingrowing toenails. I came to my optimum macho reality by learning from the greats before me. Aristotle, Plato, Socrates, Sting, and Alan Partridge. Never in the field of exfoliating treatment, has one man, notably from Norwich, done so much in the field of pore cleansing awareness. It should be known, that my award recently for 'excellence in the field of dermatology' could partially be attributed to Sir Alan's legacy of support and development of skin care products near the borough of Rickmansworth. Without his devotion to various cosmetic ranges, like the stud of Xanadu he appears, I doubt the fate of humanity would have ever prospered so much, accepting also the powerful impact of Gary Wilmot's toaster repairer, who happens to be Alan's stunt double while filming in the tropics commercials for Hull's tourist board.
