    Look, Walter, I'm sorry, but the lady in my head called my studmuffin. It's nothing personal.

    Few lines in this game hurt more to listen to than "Humanity wants to burn it all! Everything on Rubicon.", you can just FEEL the pain and fear in her voice as she says it...
    What made my fight with Ayre feel ironic was the fact that my AC used a CORAL generator of all things, which I only thought about during/after the battle.

    Ayer’s writing is very interesting.
    “It’s been a while since we’ve been on a mission together. I’ll take the control system off. Take your time” (I care about how you feel. I’m different than Walter. I am nostalgic for times we’ve been alone).
    “Your handler didn’t authorize this trip… let me take care of getting there.”
    (This is our little secret)
    “This is the third mission we’ve been on together”
    (Let’s commemorate the anniversary of our time alone)
    “I’m here for you Raven. Always”
    (My care for you in unconditional)
    Overall, there’s a real romantic and seductive manner in which she interacts with you, operating within the context of you as someone “special, not like other boys, and someone in need of rescue from the control of forces who don’t have your best interest in mind.” The whole concept of her keeping secrets with you and asking for favors that she becomes indebted, loyal, and grateful for you creates this sort of dependency. Furthermore, she flatters your ego by portraying herself as a vulnerable creature that needs the willpower and protective capacity of a man in order to achieve her goals. Every man feels empowered and validated when relied upon as useful. Little things from opening a jar for a girl to big things like showing up when she’s in physical risk to fend off her attacker are the moments when one feels most masculine.
    Furthermore, her presence within your mind, that she sees you for who you truly are, knows all your thoughts and desires, and still feels undyingly bonded to you deepens the appreciation and intimacy that Raven feels towards her. On top of that, no matter what physical frailty and form the player and Raven may be in, Ayre understands Raven’s body to be an all powerful war machine.

      Well it certain is some interesting points you have brought up. But to be fair to ac, ayre is very much the operator in this series and ac has had a habit of 'shipping' if you will the raven and their operator. It kind of like gundam I guess where the gudam pilot always seem to fall for the operator. But AC does this a lot too, with its female operators.

    I have a theory regarding Coral, specifically explaining why Raven (621) is so powerful.
    In the first mission, 621 is shown to be proficient, but not beyond regular capabilities of augmented humans.
    This suggests they have a strong connection to their Gen 4 augmentations and can at least keep up with newer Gen pilots.
    Now for the Coral part. Coral is an energy conductor and a data transferer(?). With me now realising Ayre can directly feed 621 info via their brain waves thanks to this video, lending more credence to my theory.
    I believe Coral augmentations and electronics operate at a higher efficiency than ordinary machines, presumably due to their ability to make more complicated fine-tuned changes and implement solutions in real time due to essentially human+ tier neural integration from Coral, and that the higher the concentration of Coral within electronics, the more efficient and thus powerful it becomes.
    With Ayre acting as a support for Raven, she's able to optimise the movements and capabilities of their internal components and weapons, as well as ensure their AC connection to their augmentations remains stable.
    Thus additionally, the AC and augmentations being powered by Coral allow Raven to absorb Coral from C-weapons and Coral within the atmosphere, thus explaining their seemingly unlimited power growth.
    (If anyone has seen the anime Kill La Kill this may sound very familiar)
    Essentially Coral acts as the 'Banchi' (spelling?) within AC's and augs, allowing them to become stronger and more efficient.
    This may also explain how Iguazu sucks despite also being a Gen 4 and having the same supposed unlimited potential, as they simply haven't been exposed to as much Coral and lack a mutated Coral wavelength to help in utilising this power. However they have still been exposed to some, potentially explaining the slight increase in power after we first meet them. (It's my opinion they are more difficult to beat after the counterhack mission than at the Dam)
    This suggests a mutated wave like Ayre is a prerequisite to utilising such power optimally from the Coral, which, along with how hard C-weapons and Coral are to beat and find, explains why nobody has found the true potential of Gen 4's before.
    Yeah, I like this theory a lot.

    • @armoredcorelore
      @armoredcorelore  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It could be this way, but corals really is not talk about as it should be. I went with this idea of using data as a base to go off as i think with all the data they can collect or observe they can build this identity, the amount of people on rubicon and even as small as the institute it a large pool to pull from.
      I also would have liked to know more about if coral could pass on information they have learned to another. So like a human passing down knowledge to thier young, does coral do this without thinking and its shared with any coral they come into contact with or is thier history kept with the colonies they form.

    "621 I feel like I'm a third wheel."
    Jokes aside I had a bit of a crazy theory while watching the video, basically we know Walter's farther went insane working on coral research and his mother died during some sort coral accident. Well what it Walter's dad went insane trying to find and make contact with his deceased wife and the coral augmentation was to make contact.
    Of course we know it's not the person subconscious that gets swept up in the coral but rather it's data is compiled into the organism, but still he could of found some sort of evidence of intelligence in the coral and try to make contact with augmentation.

      That sounds slightly similar to what Gendo Ikari was up to in Neon Genesis Evangelion. He did all manner of despicable things to reunite with his wife Yui, like mistreating their son Shinji, and sleeping around with other women while Yui was technically still alive. In the end, Gendo bit way more than he could chew... unlike Yui. *wink wink*

      Ayre has a lot of respectable qualities:
      1: Being a completely new form of sentient life.
      2: Having a strong moral code.
      3: Actually respects Raven/621
      4: Shows a high level of emotional intelligence in calling many events before they occur, as well as noticing the sus behaviour of Walter right away.
      5: Helps 621/Raven to finish their mission, literally being pivotal to their success in the Liberator of Rubicon ending.

    What's makes me wondering about how Ayre's general Coral wave affect Iguazu. I mean, 621 made a contact with her, so there's no way other people knows who we are hearing, speaks to, as Walter mentioned as side effect of being gen 4 Aug, but every time she speaks, guiding 621, Iguazu got distracted by the headache, which every time she speaks, as Iguazu described it as something is laughing at him, and blame 621 for the cause.

    • @armoredcorelore
      @armoredcorelore  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Well funny you should say that because if we turn down all the sound effects of the game and music when Ayre speaks you can hear a high pitch noise behind her voice every time she talks. But as for Iguazu i think it would boil down to very bad augmentation, i think unlike 621 who had someone who knew what they where doing, i think g5 may have had the work done by a back street doctor leading to his augmentations being a little off.

    Always providing the best Armored Core lore on the market; I enjoyed hearing your take on Ayre and definitely highlighted how they come about to be with the whole data collection attribute. There is one part of her dialog that I found interesting but there was a part in the cutscene that she admits she was the one that fired the cannon at 621 when we were entering Rubicon. Which makes me wonder... o_o

    • @Jusuff
      @Jusuff หลายเดือนก่อน +1

  • @mrtencza
    @mrtencza 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I think the Liberation of Rubicon ending has the best potential for both humanity and coral. One advantage that humans have now that those before the fires did not is now they can communicate with coral, albeit at a limited capacity. This could allow to test and push the potential of coral with much less risk of another fires, as the coral can now let humanity know when they are reaching a breaking point and can slow down or stop. 621 and Ayre can also act a liaisons between the two parties as well, and can help find a way to excise corals potential hopefully without full release. It's a small chance, but at least trying is better than going for the extremes.

    • @armoredcorelore
      @armoredcorelore  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      All very good points and a fair look overall between the two wants. And that the nice thing, others will have a different idea as to which route has the best outcome. With the liberation of Rubicon there is the argument that 621 and ayre maybe able to change the view of some people, but on the other hand maybe the ideas of the front will be deeply ingrained in a lot of people who see the coral has a threat that must never be released.
      But then for the fires of raven, did we just destroy a being that could have helped advance humanity even further or was this the right thing to do as with coral either the fires would happen again or a certain corporation would become too powerful.
      There is so many thoughts and they are all wonderful =)

      @ALLMINDmercenarysupportsystem 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      To break character, I agree that LoR is probably best. Coral Release almost definitely happens to at least some degree in the future, but kicking this can down the road gives more time to make it work. Make it safer. Coral-gen augmentations are shown to be very dangerous and to have major effects on the personality of the subject, even with the controlled environment and professionals at the helm. There's no way it's at all safe for the vast majority of people to suddenly have it forced upon them at some random point.
      Even if it doesn't augment normal humans and the Coral is simply spread throughout the universe, Coral is radioactive and dangerous to humans, so time would need to be taken to protect everyone.

      There is no "best" build. Everyone will have a best build suited for them.
      I've seen a TH-camr go up against CEL 240 using all the preset AC's in the game. No changes to them.
      I have 2 primary for missions & the rest are just for fun, looks, a specific mission/arena fight, straight up cosplay/copy with 2-3 changes.

    • @Ixarus6713
      @Ixarus6713 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For me my best general build is Firmeza with Rusty's head part, Coral Aorta gen, Coral FCS, the fastest booster, WLT rifle, Redshift, Coral lance and the smallest Missiles.
      Optimised energy and load, with basically no space for anything else, hence the pathetic missiles. (I'd prefer at least the 6..) 😂
      But yeah, it's highly personal. While that build is really good for me, for others the Coral gen might suck as it depends on burning energy as fast as possible and staying in the air.
      Ultimately AC games are build around creating builds to suit the fight there's never a "win everything" button.
      Then again, I also have like... 6 or 7 builds, ignoring the 20 or so used to S rank specific missions and my Rusty cosplays. Although I rarely use them because I prefer the Reaper/55 config that much. (I also gave them custom codes and emblems, it was very time-consuming. I definitely recommend.)

    • @Ixarus6713

      It could go either way imo. I think it could potentially go the AC4A route of Coral voices becoming a new form of technology, perhaps with coral augmentations and technology allowing for exponential increases in AC power and creating CC's (???) or Coral Cores, akin to NEXT's.
      Essentially all of humanity gains access to Coral waves like Ayre and they form a sort of symbiosis.
      I'd also understand if they left it there though. We don't need a sequel and if it wasn't done correctly it would ruin the mystery.

      @@Ixarus6713 considering how literally every other numbers game got 1 or 2 sequals up to this point. its almost 100% guaranteed that there would be a follow up game in some shape or form for 6... there is a lot of potential interesting follow up stories to tell, but'll see.
