My biggest defect in general is that I hate reading books. Always have. I must have been the only kid that cringed when the book mobile showed up in front of school. When I was handed my Big Book, I cringed. I have Drop the Rock but guess what??.....yep. Once I start reading, I'm fine but I just don't dedicate to a timeline of reading. Hence, I'm here because I've been stuck at 6 for a year. I felt better knowing that my sponsor and her sponsor also share that they were stuck at Step 6 for a year or more. We make it more difficult than it needs to be because it's not an actual "action" step, it's a mental/acknowlegement step. Some old timers have told me that they got more understanding of Step 6 out of the 12&12 and I kind of agree.
Going to check out more of your channel content. Thank you!

very sorry to hear about what happened to your son that was such a traumatic event. You have a real talent for making videos keep it going!! I love how you have waived your anonymity to help people. Your videos are excellent, fun and informative! I just hit one year clean and sober and am hoping to reach out and get to know more people in our community. Feels like my journey is only just beginning! Great work LT!

I’m so glad I came across this video, I’ve always believed you could be free of your character defects by becoming aware of what they were and asking in prayer for GOD to give you the necessary power to practice the work needed to overcome them I was laughed at recently for saying that you can become free from them, I’m 7 years sober and still struggle with two of the ones I came into AA with but I’m working to become free of them the others; character defects no longer a part of my daily life. Thank you for the reassurance that I’m doing what can be done…

Incorporating rituals has been huge for me. I start my day every day with an "On Awakening" meditation video and it helps me stay positive

If all of our defects of character were removed we would ascend up into the heavens. We are human beings. I can be entirely ready but it is God who removes the defects and He has the final decision on which are removed. God will use defects to help others. Thank God I have recovered from a hopeless state of mind and body. I don’t remove the defects of character or “work on them” God does. I become entirely ready. God decides the rest.

So have all your character defects been removed? Please be honest, are you really sin free? What comes out of mouth can kill, I like step 6 in the 12 and 12, I'm scared of people who have had all there character defects removed

No, my character defects have not been removed, but I do know how to better deal with them when they rise. Much healthier now.
