Democracy, Rule of Law, and Technology: An Impossible Triangle? With Dr. Sahadzic

On 26 February 2024 Dr. Maja Sahadzic from the University of Utrecht was a guest speaker of Sofia University as part of the Lecture series Emergency Constitutionalism, Constitutional Polycrisis and Rule of Law and Democracy in Transition. The lecture series is part of the work of research group “European Values and Social Challenges” under the SUMMIT Project and was moderated by Prof. Dr. Martin Belov from the Faculty of Law.
The lecture series aims to explore, through critical and contemporary analytical perspectives, the main challenges that the multiple crises and emergency regimes pose to the rule of law and democracy. It also dives deep into the challenges that new technologies and the currently developing technological and information revolution pose to the rule of law and democracy.
