Damn I tried it and spend like 6 hours straight. They made a couple very good choices here: short stages, affordable upgrades work in tandem, the runs are not a huge commitment and you always get something out of it, compelling you to start another run. And it gets better, more challenge and more options! Demon chick is bonkers, so is the chill gun permament upgrade you unlock later.
I agree that the design choices were great. Quick runs, and affordable meta progress helps a lot.
@@OHRyePlays Also because (at least so far) my runs end at lvl 20tish each level counts more, and the game gives us 10 and then lol 20! rerolls, the choices are more curated and impactful instead of the usual lvl 100+ max everything runs. Mixing different hackers (or going mono) have been very interesting so far, every one of those seems viable and have some cool synergies.

one thing annoys me in this game, I don't feel the gun at all, it's like I'm shooting a water pistol 😅
