Hearing this music as a 29 year old now when I played in launch really gives me a feeling I can’t describe.. all I have to say is life is beautiful but short.
Aion meant the world to me... I can't believe this game had so much impact on me, a safe and happy period in my life taken away.. I will never forget Aion nor the memories and soundtrack.
Man there was something different about this game. I said to myself I will never come back to play it again after 10 years of playing it on and off. Now I just listen to the OST for the beautiful memories and every youtube comment section is filled with people saying how they love the memories and how much they miss the good old times.
Genius of Jake Song i think, and the work put in by the art team from NCSoft at that time, plus this extremely good soundtrack, part of which we are listening now(we have to give big thanks to Origa, the beautiful female voice you get to hear in many of the OSTs, example Song of Moonlight).
I was an employee of that company (belonged to another department), and I remember the first OBT morning. We gathered and counted down for the server opening moment. And when we saw the graph of all servers filling with users, we shouted with joy. I have never experienced that level of excitement. This game was more than just business for us, in my opinion. We were also users-we played all the time, both at work and at home. we were among you guys.
Aah.. memories... moved to this game after 2,5 years in Lineage 2 and then into 2yrs of Aion the Tower of eternity and early pathces after that, it was a great game, probably that was the peak and golden age of mmo's in the early 2010's. Rly miss those times with the open world adventure of mmo world exploration before everything from pve to pvp became instanced fiesta. Atmosphere, music and art in this game is a blessing~
Good times. I played as an elyos gladiator on the german server thor for a long time. This song brings back happy memories. Happy to see so many others here that miss poeta, verteron, eltnen and sanctum.
Sigh. This was literally my first MMO spawn. Every once in a while, the nostalgia bug bites and makes me want to listen to Aion's entire OST. I'll probably never play again, so I'm glad there's videos like this to comfort my longing. Thank you, OP.

I missed the zergs, riftings, the abyss war and siege... So much... I wish the time will back...😭 Arieluma!.. asphelumbra!.. the game describe the conflict of different faction, race, and dialects.. resemblance of north and south conflict they are both once one but now they hate each other, I love the plot.. Aion online will be forever in my heart..
Still playing aion to this day (private servers now) i always knew i was an asmo from heart since day one and been playing as one for a lot of years now even though i started as an elyo because the friend that introduced me to this game was elyo but man .... this song and the friends i did on elyo a lot of years ago when aion retail was still fun are the best memories i still hold of this game.
after the fall of aion the MMORPG genre become less and lesser, after the age of graphics and gacha mobile games and close platfroms the entire MMORPG genre starting to become extinct, the last greatest MMORPG I played and nothing can defeat both story wise and gameplay wise is Aion online now I am playing FF14 but only aion is a game that makes me dream I am still playing it a lot, this game really haunted me even this day.

I have a request! Snowy Mau Village from Beluslan, I loved track that played there. "Raging Strings" if I remember correctly. Or anything from Asmodian world would be appreciated (I played as Asmodian many years ago and it's just pure nostalgia for me now). Abyss ambient was superb as well.
I mainly played Elyos, but had Asmodian characters. I need to level them a bit as I think Beluslan is where I left off on that side lol. Right now I am just progressing through the areas by level. I got a good rhythm going so hopefully NCSoft doesn't release 6.0 in the next few months because most of these older zones will be deleted from the game. I haven't played a whole lot after 2010, started in 2008 (came from Lineage 2.. always been an NCSoft fanboy I guess) and just played it casually with a few friends that stuck around. I felt it was about time to add some of my favorite MMORPG's to the channel for people to find, I know there are people out there that don't play anymore, but would love to feel that nostalgia again without actually playing :)
Gameforge (the EU publisher for Aion) stated that they'll be getting Patch 6.2 in September or October. No word on when the North American servers will get it.
I think I started playing Aion around the same time, but on private severs (I was broke as hell). I played on Asmodian side, had some guild, raids... and I remember I was pissed off at Ely side all the time, because AsmoxElyo ratio was just terrible and buggy private server didn't allow to block creating Ely character while Asmo had so little people. I enjoyed ElyxAsmo wars anyway, even if we were losing most of the time because of numbers. I was thinking about returning to Aion, but you're saying they're deleting good old zones... I'll pass I guess :(
Played aion on a private server infinite aion, IA, elyos cleric part of immortals guild... Amazing time of my life, will forever cherish the times i had with people in that game, people that i still talk to now, years later...
I'm still hyped up from when I rift jumped in Heiron as an assassin and killed a max level asmodian general. He was a spirit master, and I jumped him before he activated his shields. Haha!
Would it be possible to get the version of this song (Sad World) that plays in Akarios Plains where its just the voice version and also the piano version? They used to be on TH-cam but they've been taken down and they used to really calm me
I honestly have never played WoW . My friends tried getting me into it when it first came out but I was already committed to another MMO back then. It would be fun, but I just don't have the time to dedicate myself to grinding right now heh.

as an elyos most of the time, the only songs i loved from morheim and beluslan were the metal battle bgms that you can't get from any elyos territory
