The atmospheric Sad Lovers had some good stuff - this track isn't an example of their best. Breaking up in '83, some members reformed into the lesser known but underrated The Snake Corps. The cream of the Goth-y Rock crop: Sad Lovers & Giants - Things We Never Did (1982) The Snake Corps - Look East For Eden (1985)
This was added on the cd version as it was a standalone single (this is a different slower version than the single one). I quite like this album and if you like post punk/goth/dream pop combination then you should find something to like on it. The cd version is the one to check out imo as its first half has songs from singles and eps (including things we never said and colourless dream which are both among their best). The Sound, Lowlife and For Against are similar dreamy post punk groups that are fairly obscure and you might like them (Lowlife had the first Cocteau Twins bass player)
@@AlexHaitz i totally get that dude, i love the photo/picture? i saw it on you tube before.. some thing's need time too. Think you will be blown away by The Chameleons Script of the bridge 👍🏼
I like the 7" version of this song WAAAY more. It's more energetic and executed better
If you mean the 7" that's floating around on youtube, the band never actually played it that way. Whoever digitalized the vinyl played it too fast.

İt’s really good album for rainy days. You can check lope and imaginations which is my fave except this song.
this is my favorite sad lovers song and actually prefer it over the faster version , respect tho keep it up
Whilst a nice song, it's not the best on the album in my view, so definitely worth checking the others out.
Is the best song
Sounds like a poor version of The Smiths on first listen.
Seeing as how it’s a bonus track, I’m willing to give the album another chance as it sounds like it has potential.

The Smiths were just starting their careers when this came out , so i don't think so
