Necessary doc sent to me alrdy to apply for study visa, but seeing this video now, I have to ask myself why I didnt research this before now. And the so called brother (agent) who is helping me out never told me this side of truth

Nneka, assuming you got your visa and the school you used to apply for visa during spring tells you they have closed and that they have closed admissions for summer and that you can only get winter thats 2023 intake, What do you do? Can you change the school? And if the winter intake has courses for omly 2 year what do you do,?

- what are the implications of switching to a different course while studying a current program in a Canada college? Will it affect my post-graduate work permit criteria or PR status in the future?
- If I switched from diploma course to another course with different duration of study, will I be charged extra tuition fees?
For example, if I got admission in Graduate diploma/certificate in political science for 1 year period and I switched to College Diploma in Social Work Services for an 18-months duration, how would this affect my tuition fees status?

Why don’t you wait, think about it and go straight for the bachelors degree to save money and time.

My program has a co-op component. It's 3 semesters. How many years of PGWP does that qualify for??
1 academic year is made up of 3semesters so you’ll probably just qualify for one year PGWP.

No you don’t. It all depends on what the school requires but it’s always advisable to pay a part just so to help with the visa approval.

Thanks for this video. My question is, can someone do post graduate diploma of 1year after a 1 year professional master degree? Just to make the 1 + 1 = 2 years study. My question is based on the fact that a master degree is higher than a diploma degree.
From my experience, I’d say as far as you’ve arrived successfully to Canada, you can definitely downsize in terms of education. So you can!
Nneka, I want to do a one year in palliative care and apply for another one year in gerontology so it will be 1+1. So do I apply for the other one year whiles I’m studying palliative care or after I’m done ?

Apply while you’re studying.

Hello Nneka. Thanks for the video. However I am not sure you are entirely correct about the information you dished out. Can you research about BRIDGING OPEN WORK PERMIT and tell me what you found out? There's actually no need for anyone to panic. You can get one year pgwp and apply for BOWP four months before it expires. The IRCC will still give you up to 18 months. The condition is that you must have applied for PR and you are awaiting their decision
Definitely.
BOWP only works if you are eligible to apply for PR and you have already started your process. If you don’t meet the eligibility for permanent residence application, you can’t apply for a BOWP. I hope this makes sense.
But I’m open to hearing about your experience with this, so i can pin your comment. I’m sure it might help someone out there!
@@nnekaezeanya. if you are applying through the CEC or through the PNP after your study, you must definitely meet up with the CRS score. I actually had to call your attention because you made it seem like once you exhaust your one year pgwp, then all hope is lost. What I will advise everyone is just to ensure you finish your academic program and then get the one year pgwp and start your PR process from there. If you run out of time, then apply to extend your open work permit through BOWP

I just got admitted for a college diploma of 2years but I was advised by a friend not to accept it because I already have my BA degree here in Nigeria and going a college degree will be like a downgrade also, it can be a criteria for visa refusal because it doesn’t really make any sense to want to do a college degree program when I have my BA degree, instead, I should go for a postgraduate diploma, I have been searching and I discovered postgraduate diplomas are just for 1year which is not advisable because I would like to do a 2years program so as to get a 3years pgwp…..my question is, can I rely 100% on taking another 1year program when I’m done with the initial 1year postgraduate program? Or better still proceed to do my masters? Cos I was also told that because I did 1year program does not guarantee that I will get admitted into another program. Also, what other programs can I do after a 1year postgraduate program that will make me qualify for a 3years pgwp. Or if I accept the college diploma, will it tell negatively during visa application as my friend advised…..please advise me on what to do🙏🙏🙏 PLEASE I NEED A QUICK RESPONSE….THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Not just Canada. It's like that in western countries. I think income is the major point out of all the points you mentioned. Hello, PGWP is granted in every province In canada as far as you meet the requirements. So I don’t think you should worry about that.
As for PR, I’ll do some research and make a video on it hopefully soon.
