I'm from Volga, and this song reminds me about history of my great ancestors. Thank you! For those, who is interested - the original name of the song is "Дубинушка" or "Эй, ухнем!"
God this is so good... This song feels so Nostalgic for a past of soviet space exploration, a past which never truly happened and will never return. I can imagine a lot of people in the 60s and 70s (when the spacerace was happening) had a lot of hopes for the future, the promised future which saddly never arrived...
Never arrived ? I am an aerospace ingineer and I can tell you dreams are still there to motivate my works. And when you see some competitors (begin by S, end by X) I can tell you dreams have never been nearer to come true. By the way I very often listen Volga Boatmen while working 😅
The man was alone. The control cabin of the spaceship hugged him tightly, like a womb. He thought of his great-grandfather, this illiterate peasant from the days of Tsar Nicholas. And then his grandfather, who instead of living in a hovel with a tiled floor could now live in a reinforced concrete housing estate, study engineering and then fight in the Great Patriotic War. It all came down to this one moment. He saw the reddish fireball of the sun hovering in eternal, steady stillness in the silence of space. He saw the booming globe of the Earth flickering beneath him. He saw the Great Continent, and he saw the New World, which in his father's time had been the slave of capitalists and imperialists, but now inhabited by free and equal people. And there he sat, in the little cabin above it all. The outstretched hand of Humanity, waiting to clasp the outstretched hand of a foreign civilisation, equally advanced and free, in a warm friendly greeting. It was 2039. Long live the Soviet World Republic. Long live Our Dreams.
When you build the generation ship in civ IV as Russia: Otherwise great song ! May one day the Soviet Union's legacy be honored and a new revolutionary project follow their foot steps and bring humanity across the river of stars.

"Dubinushka" and "Ey ukhnem" are two different songs and not even similar, and this one is the synth version of ey ukhnem
This would fit perfectly into a retro sci-fi Soviet space future. Maybe something like For All Mankind’s later seasons
I haven't seen 4 all mankind yet, I'll have to check it out ^^
@@matthewarthur3606 first and second seasons are 🔥, others sort of drop but not too much. Still very enjoyable

When you know the beauty and harshness of the space is when you appreciate more the harshness and beauty of our planet.

I played a lot of civ 4, but I hadn't remembered this song was in it
Yeah it was one of the main themes of Russia@@matthewarthur3606 You're song made me realised it aha

Amazing track. Subscribed.
Thanks for the sub!
Cool song.
Я с Волги.
Remind me with Peter I and Stalin theme in Civ 4, which also used the same song.

I wonder what will we heave in the microgravity of space...
even without gravity there is still inertia to overcome!
Perai.....
Esse som me lembra MUITO a abertura de um certo jornal que passava toda noite, alguém lembra o nome do jornal? Era Fala Brasil? Não lembro
it just needed a lil slow down 0,75 works quite well
Personally, I prefer the tempo I made it at.
@@matthewarthur3606 i thought it sounds more epic a bit slower, but that's just, like, my opinion man. great job anyways.
cant beat the kharitonov version but still not bad

The clip at 0:50 is American from the Saturn V rocket
I know? the video doesn't specifically depict the Russian space program. The lander is a completely fictional craft of my own design.

At the end of the day, Poland still cannot go into space and that's a good thing!
I have no idea what this means. but as a general rule, I think everyone should be exploring space.
