Man, Vettes have been exceptional cars. The C4's in the 80's were spanking Porsche, Ferrari, and Lambos. Vettes have always been under appreciated. C4s were extremely well engineered and hold up very well handling even by todays standards. all Vettes after C4s have just been better in every way despite the fact the C4 was excellant.

The Demon comes stock with P315/40R18 102W Drag Radial Tires, these are street legal tires while skinny front tires are not street legal. You are talking about the Demon Crate which has all of the other things that you need including front runner drag wheels and high octane engine calibration which is what you need that race fuel (I believe 104 octane race fuel). Make no mistake, when you set the car up well it is one fast car down the drag strip, with the demon crate parts and the high octane calibration on a properly prepped track. But that is the thing, the ZR1 Corvette probably just had some air removed from the rear tires and the drive ran a 10.2 in a stock ZR1 Corvette 8 speed auto. The Corvette went from an 11 second car (Z06) to a 10 second car (10.2 for this driver) and probably with the right conditions and a good enough driver we will likely see something like a 9.9 out of it. For a car that was designed to go fast around bends and stop really quickly. The Demons bigger problem is its mass which while the ZR1 is a heavy car as well it is a good bit lighter then the Demon (there are entire cars that can fit within the weight difference between the two cars, granted not many).

The ZR1 crushed the ACR around VIR...and they weren't even trying for a hot lap...just endurance testing. And just happen to beat the Ford GT also. At least that's what has been quoted. The ZR1 will likely murder the ACR on most tracks. The 650hp Z06 turned 7:13 on the Nurburgring in the hands of a third party magazine (Sport Auto)...and pulls better lateral metrics than the ACR. The ZL1 turned 7:16. There has been NO ZR1 time on the Ring...no "hot laps". I will be shocked if the ZR1 doesn't turn a lap in less than 7 minutes in GM's hands.

Trucker X dodge is over 40k less and weight can be reduced. The vette already has almost everything carbon fiber. I say if you put 40k worth of carbon fiber on the demon the power to weight ratio would be much better and obviously the ZR1 wouldnt be able to match that buck for buck. So which is actually worth your money for a drag car?
