I would highly recommend consignment services that allow items other than graded cards. If you’re selling a booster box or case it goes for a better commission tier which has much lower fees. And sealed items generally go for the same as buy it nows. Fees are sometimes only 5%… can’t beat it

Taxing twice for the same item? As we already paid taxes when we initial bought the item. Unless you are taking about taxing on capital gains we generate. Then what I said 👆 is moot.
One big thing I've noticed selling on eBay verses selling at a card show is that with eBay, because it's so large and convoluted, is that people are mostly looking for something specific and that's usually it. Where as at a card show, they may be looking for something specific, but due to looking for it, they'll see things that they didn't know they wanted or even existed. And also, card shows are a good place to move the bigger sealed items, like those big Jirachi boxes which are a pain to ship.
HI Alex - I am very new to getting back into Pokemon, and I have been now doing this a lot for the past year now and your channel by far is the best for knowledge and pure raw content than I have seen anywhere. You are very "to the point", and the way you explain things is exceptional compared to anyone else on youtube. Keep up the great work, and I truly look forward to each and every video you put out. I have now gotten 15 friends watchin/subscribed to your channel, and that says something about how good you explain things.
I do have a question about your last video about collecting. when you say you only have 9 booster boxes of I forget what Sword and Shield box, but I currently now have 5 Booster Boxes of Evolving Skies bought around $400 up to $500. Are you saying I should have bought a lot more like 20 to make it worth it when say it hits $1000? I guess what I am getting at is it okay to only have 1,2,3 or like 5 of each booster box for collecting sealed product? Cause currently thats what I have from a sealed booster box collection. I also bought a Jungle box for $9k because I was born in 1988 and when jungle came out I was in 5/6th grade and I loved it back then but unfortunately my parents didn't give me the money to buy those big booster boxes lol Any whom let me know!

As for your question, there is no right amount to buy only the right amount for each person. Its all about how much risk you want to take and how much you want to diversify. I started out only buying 2 of each box to have 1 to keep and 1 to sell in the future and just snowballed from there. I buy more now because i am looking for more gains when the boxes appreciate so thats all. That's awesome you were able to pick up a jungle box though! Great nostalgic set.

I'd pay the ebay fee any day over having to arrange a deal with a buyer over instagram or elsewhere. That is a nightmare. I prefer minimal to no contact with my buyers 😂
They would give you golden nuggets tho and insider secrets and stuff eBay you asking to get scammed 🥸
In short, if you are a small seller looking to sell a few items, in person/ facebook and discord and other smaller platforms may be the better way to go. If looking to make any scale of a buisness, Ebay, tcgplayer, and LIVE platforms (whatnot, tik tok live etc.) are most likely your best bet in the longrun👍

Great points on this, I usually sell primarily on ebay. I have a few high end cards and was planning on going PWCC, thoughts on that?
I'd sell those with the eBay vault feature for lower fees but that's just me
I think it just depends on the card and how many people ate looking for it on PWCC at that time. Sometimes they do great and others times not as much. But ya EBAY vault is also a good option.
Ive been looking to sell my psa 10 japanese non 1st edition gold star rayquaza, but dont know if I should hold or go the PWCC route, I'm thinking Ill wait a few years until another boom. But selling it now would definately give some funds to pick up a few grail chases.
Hey Alex - I was looking through some of the shipping supply recommendations you have linked on your website. I have some 5-8 pk booster lots that i broke down from products and plan on selling in the future. Do you have any recommended shipping products for loose booster packs in that 5-8 pack range?
Those will fit in the small white shipping boxes used for PSA slabs no problem!

Other products can do well if they have they are desired for the art of the product or the packs and promos inside. Overall booster boxes usually perform best however.
I've been sticking to booster boxes And premium collection boxes. They seem to have the best appreciation. Tins will go up as long as individual packs go up, just not as much.
What would someone suggest with a collection of around 50-100 with the value of cards $30-$300

I would sayvthe biggest benefit is the deal that walk up to you for trades or sales. Also, yes moving investory that doesn't move as fast on EBAY or another platform.

Well Ebay is the largest marketplace to buy and sell Collectibles so it just seems that any other platform is best compared to them. Like I said though my sales come from everywhere including, ebay, tcg player, my own website, my discord as well as other discord buy sell trades, Facebook groups, and I also sell live on youtube and whatnot. Just trying to give the good and bads of all.
