Lisa, I have just recently started following your channel. i have to say i truly enjoy and gain something from all of the videos of yours i have watched. i am a 24 year old NYC gal just beginning to find my way through life on my own- and your advice (both beauty related and life related) has all been so helpful. i am also an extremely shy person who could learn to develop more confidence and the things you said in this really stuck with me.
thank you for your effort and hard work in making youtube videos!
    - Dana

I can NOT get bored with your heart-to-heart videos. Your positivity is so inspiring and contagious! Also, I'm not sure if you're even aware of it, but your ability to LAUGH at yourself is a HUGE gift which is one of the things I admire most about you. It shows true humility which I think is a sign of real self-confidence (versus self-pride). Thank you for challenging us to take this journey with you! 💗

Your dancing proves you are gutsy. One of the best things about being 'mature' is feeling the freedom to just be you and not care what others think.

I can totally relate to having a parents like you have. Since my mom passed away on 9/11, I was in shock for 4 days. Literally paralyzed, and I woke up on the 5th day and said to myself. What would Mom want you to do? Would she want you to be paralyzed? I think she taught me that grieving is normal, but the path to the recovery process is up to me. I had to embrace the strength to apply the confidence she instilled into me to emerge and live the life she wanted for me. So I am better now, not over it by a long shot but better. I worked a 12 hour day and that was a good distraction. I really appreciate this video, I was shy when I was young too. Thanks, BTW, love "Bad Ass Mature"!!!

Lisa, I was also a very shy child who lacked confidence. I was so shy that one of my parents would have to walk me holding my hand to go play with my friends. I had an incident happen in 3 grade that stayed with me all of my life. My teacher scolded me in front of the whole class for something I didn’t do. I was so embarrassed that I didn’t tell my mom until I was an adult. My sweet husband was the one who helped me build my confidence and get me out of my comfort zone to do things I didn’t think I could do. I will always be grateful to him, but I am still shy. ❤️

I really needed this video on confidence. I have had so many bad things happen to me this past decade...betrayal, divorce, family put downs, etc. At 58 years old, my confidence is shot. I no longer look like I did in this picture taken 9 years ago.. I’ve gained 40 lbs. and stopped caring how I look. Your videos on keto got me started and I’ve lost 10 lbs. I’m feeling a little better. This video really helped me-maybe I can do something with my life still. Thank you Lisa!!

Lisa, I am 53 and watching you from Italy. I love the transfornation you are going through recently on youtube... you are giving us psychological topics to think about, you are opening up to us, talking about very personal experiences... so much more than ,only’ presenting make up.
You are becoming a real enrichment to me and I wanted to thank you for that, Lisa.

Me too! I am an average dancer but I love it and it makes me happy so I do it anywhere and anytime I feel the vibe. And I tell my kids to do the same and not care what others thinks but- I always judge how I articulate my thoughts in work meetings and presentations. Others say I’m great but I think it’s bad.

This was such a wonderful video! I love all the “advice” videos that you do! Self Confidence can truly change your life. It took me 5 years to find the self confidence to follow my dreams and become a pilot after my boyfriend(at the time) told me I could hardly drive a car let alone learn how to fly a plane. I have been a pilot for 13 years and it was the best decision I ever made for myself. I have the best job in the world and I fly for the best Airline in the world. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful career yet I was so close to not having my dreams come true for myself all because of my lack of confidence.

Right away, I thought you were doing the "happy dance!" You have all your priorities straight. I was happy for you. You have excellent parents who guided you to achieve great character skills. My parents had me involved with piano, girl-scouts, dance, choirs, church and selecting good emotionally mature friends in life who care about my happiness/safety as much as I care about their happiness/safety. It is all about mutual respect for others. You also have a great sense of humor. You are a great role model, Lisa.

Lisa, thank you SO SO much for this video! I’ve watched your channel for years and always kind of looked up to you as a big sister. Whenever I was down or lonely I’d watch your videos. (Im a tomboy and always wanted to do my makeup like you...and Rosie h-w! But never felt comfortable) I’m recently married to my dream man, and guess what, I feel so ugly and horrible, not because of him, but because of my insecurities. He’s wonderful and encouraging and never puts me down. But because he’s so wonderful I’ve been doubting myself more than ever. I have been researching self love/femininity tips and books lately to remind myself I AM worthy. I AM beautiful. Even though I’ve never loved my looks before. So thank you thank you thank you for this! I’m working on it!

Mackenzie and I were just talking about confidence earlier today! When she was young, we had her in dance, piano karate, etc for the recitals, etc and allowed her to fly solo across the U. S. at 14 (unaccompanied minor) to attend a journalism camp and again the next year for a speech camp. You’d never know that she is an introvert but she even now, she was sharing that she tries pushing herself outside her comfort zone and she’s loving the results! We’re the same way with Brandon but he’s definitely more reserved- I’m sure you noticed...lol

Lisa I have been following you for years and I am so glad I did. Especially now that you are opening up since you turned 50. I am 50+ and I have been the shy one as long as I can remember. Our background stories were so similar...playing piano, dance class etc and having to push myself to perform in front of people. My challenge this year will be to dress up more. I love dresses but always felt like it was over the top to wear dresses everyday. Most are casual but I would only wear them when we went out for dinner or on vacation where no one knew me. I have slim legs and have always been self conscious about them. When I was younger I worked out so my slim legs were shapely and toned. Then being a busy mom and housewife took over and I put myself care on the back burner. Because of a hip injury I can’t work out the way I used to so I have one leg more shapely than the other. I am challenging myself to not care if people notice my legs and start wearing my dresses!!! Thank you for the confidence booster.

Sadly I don’t have confidence in myself most of the time. I think it goes way back to my childhood when my parents got divorced when I was only 8 years old and I remember my dad looking down at me and my brother and sister sitting outside the courtroom after it was over, he told me and my sister we would become prostitutes and my brother would deal drugs. I’m soon to be 68 and how can a father say that to us, of course he was never in our lives but that had a big impact on me. We all 3 proved him wrong, my mom bless her raised us 3 kids all by herself with no child support, yes we grew up poor but we always had a roof over our head, clean clothes and food on the table, my mom has gone to heaven 7 years ago, Miss her so much. You are so blessed to have had the childhood you had, I can’t even remember most of mine but since watching Utube ladies I feel so much better, I know I’m not alone with my feelings. Loved loved that dancing yesterday, I just had the biggest grin on my face. Love you Lisa.🥰🥰🥰

Lisa I love this video. First off you look wonderful in that jacket. Second, my mom was so shy she second guessed herself her whole life . No one ever had to run her down, she did it to herself. I am the way I am because I always did her talking for her. I did not have the chance to be shy because of her inability to talk. So happy for you that you found the confidence to do what you do. Keep up yhe good work. You are great!

I loved the dancing! This is a important and great subject! My mom used to say act like everyone is thrilled that they are getting to talk to you - then you are never nervous. lol. It's fun to see a different side of you - you are so classy and beautiful!

I think we had a very similar upbringing! Great parents but I had the piano recital thing too. I was the 3 rd child , 2 older brothers. I was not the smartest but I was a hard worker. I never gave up either. Girl you are amazing sharing all this. I am 66 and have been there done that!! Trying to help my kids and grandkids ! I can’t even imagine not having great parents 😳

Thank you Lisa, for all these precious videos :-) Your widsom, good judgment, kindness and generosity are one of your biggest strengths. You make me think about Proverbs 8:32 This might be why your joy is always radiant through all your videos. Because you listen to Wisdom!! God bless you and all your family. Please talk about your best books that you've read. xox

I took theater in high school to get over my shyness. I was tall and skinny..NO curves 😂..I played a yoga girl on an opening scene sitting cross legged and chanting Ohm's. A few of my friends yelled yay Jill!! After that I had kids coming up to me to chat..it went from there.

I thought you looked happy dancing! I didn't really think about whether or not you were a "good" dancer. Love the message of pushing yourself outside your comfort zone. I think this is so important, especially as we get older, to keep growing. ❤

I loved your video with you dancing. I give you so much credit on the dancing.Im scared to death to dance. Even at a family family. Even slow dancing. The thought of dancing in front of people makes my stomach sick. That’s why I enjoyed watching you so much. You just let your self be free. And I enjoyed watching you. Maybe one day I’ll get brave like you. Love you Lisa. Stay Safe

I thought. Wow! Lisa is so happy now. She has really come out of her shell. Lol. Your description of yourself as a small child sounds so much like me. I used to hide behind my mum if anyone spoke to me. I have gone through life letting it hold me back. I love hearing about your life. I also love that blazer ! So nice :-)
