Hello Everyone. In this video, I only showed you a quick test of the 24-pin to 10-pin for the B150, Q170 Lenovo motherboard that uses 10-pin ATX main motherboard power and how this adapter works. In my next video, I will swap the Lenovo M900 case for an M-AXT PC chassis, install a full GPU, and use the cable adapter to upgrade the PSU. It’s just a cable testing video. If you want to see how it works in a real setup, please check this video.: th-cam.com/video/PKREFjbIC6g/w-d-xo.html. Thank you for watching.

I recently bought a similar adapter. But every time I try to shut down the system, everything is shutting down except for the power supply. do you think it might be a problem with the wiring of the adapter or it's not possible to shut down the power supply?

Yes, the same here. As I mentioned in the Video description, the 24-pin to 10-pin adapter cable connected the power supply power activation wired pin with the ground wired pin, so when we plug it into the wall, the PSU always turns on.

Does this work on the Dell XPS 8950? I've been doing research and have found that Lenovo's 10 pin plug is the same as Dell's 10 pin plug, but I need more concrete evidence.

Using a 24-pin to 10-pin adapter for a Lenovo power supply on a Dell PC is not recommended. Dell motherboards typically have proprietary connectors, and compatibility can be tricky. It’s best to verify compatibility or consider alternative solutions.

What are you using to monitor? Is that a tab?

Yes, it’s a Windows 11 tablet, the Asus VivoBook Slate 13 OLED. I use the Razer Ripsaw HD and OBS Studio to monitor. Thank you.

I have a Lenovo m75s-1 with a 210w PSU, Ryzen 5 Pro 3400G, and I have saved for a GPU, I would like to know if for my model it would be safe to use that adapter with a good PSU.

Based on my experience with using that cable adapter, I’ve noticed that the PC power supply tends to turn on. This happens because the cable is wired to connect the GND pin directly to the PSU’s active pin, bypassing control from the motherboard. Thank you.

Based on my testing of the cable, the overall result is it works. However, I'm not satisfied with this adapter. Unlike the 24-pin to 8-pin main ATX cable adapter for Dell, this adapter uses a power supply activation pin connector, which means whenever I plug the PC into the wall, the power supply always turns on. So, if you decide to use this cable, you need to switch off the power supply manually or unplug the power cord from the wall to turn off the PC completely. No problem caused harm to the PC component with this cable adapter.
